  1. Fantastic improvement. Very natural. I bet this, in conjunction with the facelift, made her look like a new woman!
  2. Hi Doug. I have a few questions/concerns I wonder if you wouldn't mind addressing? 1. I'm not sure how other people feel when the term 'RPM' (which I can only assume stands for rotations per minute), comes up in the description of a FUE tool, but it makes me think of drilling techniques which, I believer, are outdated due to transection rates and general poor graft survival. Does NeoGraft use some sort of rotary system to remove grafts? If not, why would a word like rotation be used to describe suction? 2. Do most FUE surgeons really use tweezers to remove follicular units? It's my understanding that top docs usually use their own tools, but not many simply punch and pull. 3. How does the graft being sucked through a tube affect survival rate? It may be minimal, but it seems like this adds unnecessary trauma. 4. In the same sense, why does the machine have an addition to place the grafts? Doesn't this simply add more suction while moving the grafts? 5. Also, wouldn't two attachments to place grafts take significantly longer than a larger number of technicians? And does using a device that sucks up and then places the grafts void the delicacy and skill necessary in placing grafts at correct angles? 6. Finally, one of the biggest assets of HTN is its transparency through posting consistent, cosmetically significant results. I know the video stated that thousands of successful pictures have been performed in Europe, but the photos shown at the end were not clear enough to make real judgments and, frankly, did not look as good as some of the top FUE work on this site (IE Feller, Shapario etc). Do you have any clearly documented cases to view? Thank you. I hope you do not think I am dismissing your tool, and I truly hope NeoGraft proves to be a successful asset in FUE procedures. I simply would like these concerns addressed and it would be great if some physicians performing FUE on the site would lend their opinion. Thank you.
  3. Bill (Bill, if I may call you Bill hahaha), I'm glad you brought up the delicacy necessary in removal and handling extracted follicular units. I investigated NeoGraft a few months back, as a local cosmetic surgeon brought the tool to his office and wrote a long post on his site about it, and to me - it seemed between automating the process of removing follicular units and having a high survival rate, one greatly outweighs the other. I don't see the need to take the physician touch out of such a delicate process, and I would love to see results of a procedure using NeoGraft - as surgeons such as Dr Feller have posted intricate details concerning their new tools and the procedure results. Furthermore, these tools don't seem to put the focus on automation, instead they seem to focus on handling the grafts more delicately and lowering transection rates. I personally would stick with a coalition physician performing FUE.
  4. There are many fantastic physicians recommended in Southern California. I think you should explore this option.
  5. Dr Charles, Do you think there will be any benefits from using the roller, as a modality, alone? Or would you assume the results would come from the roller plus minoxidil?
  6. To my knowledge, Dr Feller experimented with BHT sometime in early 2000s (2003 or something) and wasn't convinced with the results. Hence, he doesn't do BHT procedures until further notice. He is now offering PRP treatments and is still experiments and recording his PRP results. Dr Feller is a very dedicated physician and believes in offering real solutions. I don't think he would mix BHT with PRP since he doesn't do BHT treatments regularly.
  7. I'd personally take Bill's advice and see Dr Pathomvanich. I do agree that Dr. Pong's post results look good, but I would personally be a bit concerned with the lack of hairline shots. Each patients seemed to have their hair styled downward or pushed to the side, and it was difficult to tell the shape and thickness of the hairline.
  8. I think the effectiveness of the scalp-roller alone is still up for debate, but I do believe a lot of people agree that it does increase the amount of rogaine that gets into the scalp.
  9. He looks ten years younger, and at six months he still has growth left. Great result. I've been continually impressed with SMG's FUE work.
  10. Brandnew: Dr. Rahal has posted consistent, excellent results on this site, and this transparency should be a good indicator of the quality of this practice. I think he would be a wonderful physician to consult with regarding your potential HT procedure.
  11. Congratulations on selecting a great clinic. You should be very happy with the end results. If you have the time, you should set up a blog through the forums to showcase your progress as the transplant matures. I also just wanted to add that I don't think $9 a graft is too high of a price for FUE. For strip maybe, but I believe Dr. Feller, a fellow hair restoration physician in New York, charges $10 a graft ... so very similar.
  12. A few comments for BrandNew: 1. I think you are going to have issues with credibility when you only have several posts, all of which are in this thread and defending a certain doctor. 2. A picture is worth a thousand words. Several members have posted very negative, heartbreaking results, which make a pretty strong case alone. I think if you could/would post some pictures of what you consider to be a great, FUE mega-session from this clinic, your argument would be much stronger. 3. It's important to realize that no one is 'picking' on this particular clinic/physician, nor is this site naturally biased or a haven for haters. This site is a community of people going through the HT process. They understand the risks, benefits, and most of all, deception and poor results. The members are critical of this clinic because it has produced numerous, poor FUE mega-session results (on these forums) and they don't want to see others fall into these pitfalls and lose money, time, and, most importantly, their donor supply. 4. It's very surprising to me that you weren't 'blown away' from the Hasson and Wong results. I suggest looking at some of their recent, 5,000+ Norwood VI restorations posted. Simply amazing. 5. As far as great physicians (I believe you asked earlier), I'd personally say all the doctors in the Coalition are world renowned/best in the game. As others have pointed out too, many of these recommended physicians, such as Shapiro and Feller due FUE work.
  13. PD, you make logical points with some of the dietary elements in your post. However, I think your first comment regarding genetics was dead on. If I may throw out an observation ... I've seen overweight, unhealthy people with full heads of hair, and I've seen bald 'health nuts.' I'm sure there is some small factor with diet, but compared to the genetic component, it is probably not overtly significant.
  14. Hey Mrkneed. From what I've gathered, the full, completed results of a hair transplant are shown around month 15th. People grow at all different rates, some quick, some slower. So, there is still growth that could occur. How much, I'm unsure?
  15. Very nice. A clean, full transformation. The patient truly has a very defined, natural new hairline. Well done Dr Alexander.
  16. The top down shot really shows the extent of this patient's thinning. Very nice result for 2,219 grafts. As Bill said, a little went a long way in this case. Well done.
  17. I would love to see a hairline shot, if possible, but that is NOT necessary to state, with certainty, that this is a wonderful hair transplant. Great transformation. Looks fantastic.
  18. Congratulations! That has to feel good. Dr Alexander is a great surgeon, and clearly his skill showed in your transplant. Here's to continued growing (you're at around 8 months now, correct?) and many future hair cuts!!
  19. SMG does top notch FUE work. Great decision and good luck! Keep us updated.
  20. I agree with Bill - a noticeable improvement from your pre-surgery pictures and a subtle, but still relevant improvement from the 6 month pictures. I apologize if this question has been asked, but are you on meds? I am wondering if any disappointment could be the result of gradual, continued loss during the 9 months since your transplant? Regardless, I think you look good! Dr Keene is a great surgeon, and does fine work (and I believe your's is no exception)
