How’s this possible?!? You have better hair than I did before balding
The weird thing is, I actually have better hair than before I started balding 😂 Dr Hasson is a freaking magician 😂

Here is the majority of the pics through the thread as it progressed that were lost when tinypic went down and photobucket started charging, sorry about the jumble of the pics but I thought it may be useful for people viewing the thread frustrated by the lost pictures. Had a chance to go through a hard drive tonight and found them

I think it’s quite a common occurrence people enjoying the process - especially the growth process, as you say aside from the shedding stage. I liken it to when you first step foot into the gym, and make all your ‘newbie’ gains in that first year and just watch a dramatic transformation happen in front of your eyes day by day, see your lifts go up, and how your body changes. It becomes addictive.
When I first got my hairline restored and it started really taking shape and growing in around 5 months, I remember styling it out of the shower one day, and feeling like Robin Williams in Hook, in the scene when he remembered how to fly again. I felt like I’d recaptured so many lost years, and I even physically looked like the younger me that I remembered - it really did have quite a profound effect on me!
Totally agree with all you said, but I’m not just talking the process, I mean the actual operation too! injections aside of course 😂

Yea, it’s easy to speak in hindsight. The situation is vastly different for a 50 year old man than it is a 20 year old.
Agreed! At 20 years of age going bald literally consumed my every thought, it sounds silly to say now but it genuinely did. Right now all my close friends have significant hair loss and if it happened now (at 40) I think I’d have a different outlook! Having said that, my HT’s were the best money I’ve ever spent in my life and I’d do it all over again any day! And in a f*cked up way I actually enjoyed the whole process (ugly duckling phase aside).

the first picture are the 3 I use daily, after washing I dry my hair then use regaine. When that’s dried in I get some water and dampen my hair, then I apply the gel and comb though so it’s evenly distributed. Next i sry the hair to the style, then when it’s dry I use the grooming clay to style, then set with spray.
the second pic is useful products I sometimes use, the thickening paste adds different texture, so if I want some hair to hang down it’s useful for that. And the dry shampoo adds volume if you’ve weighed it down with too much product.

I think it’s a combination of the results obviously but also how you style your hair. We should start a thread of the best products to use for styling.
I swear by Aveda, the men’s range. Use the gel combed through damp hair before blow drying, then when it’s dry use the grooming clay to style then a bit of their hairspray to keep it in line, not cheap but the best quality hair products I’ve ever used

Looking great bro!

The radiation produced during inta-oral radiographs is negligible, you get more radiation from a couple of days on earth (background radiation) and certainly more from a long haul flight.
Extra oral radiographs, for example an OPT can be more and aren’t done as standard radiographs very often these days, even so the amount of radiation is still pretty small.
As far as aiming radiation towards your brain, dental radiographs would generally not do this. The ones to check for decay (bite wings) don’t and neither do periapicals which are commonly used for root canals. OPT’s to a certain extent may, most of which would be scatter radiation.
also worth noting is how x rays generally work, much like light rays they travel in a straight line, which is how they tend to produce a crisp image on the films/sensors, so when aimed towards the mouth almost all the rays will go through the structures of the jaws. Some will scatter... essentially bounce off structures, but this is pretty minimal and certainly will not produce hair loss of which I can 100% assure you.

How do you apply rogaine in your hair? It's so long? Do you only apply in the area behind the recipient of the HT?
I apply it all over tbh, I just use a little more, seems to go on okay

Absolutely ridiculous! You don’t see this kind of result in one session by many other clinics out there

Impressive! Taking any supplements? Laser helmet?
Propecia 1mg daily, regaine foam (rogain) once per day, biotin and MSM.
I did start micro needling 3 weeks ago, but that won’t have had any affect yet, just wanted to give it a go

How on earth is your hair finer? You’ve got thick hair mate, definitely not that fine lifeless hair, look at that volume 🤩
My individual hairs have always been fine, I’m talking hair diameter, there’s just a lot of hair there that makes it look thicker, but I’d say the actual hair diameter is at best average. My hair does have body, but I always blow dry it into style which does give it a lot more volume than if I were to just let it dry naturally. I’m defiantly not complaining, I’m very happy with it, I just wouldn’t class my hair diameter as above average where’s with Brad Pitt’s hair I get the impression his hair diameter is way above average.

This is going to look great! Density looks epic

So I’m thinking of letting my hair grow out as I’m pretty bored with the current style. I saw the new ad campaign Brad Pitt did and I’m quite liking the grown out sides, usually I get my hair cut every 3 weeks, but it’s been about 8 weeks at the moment. My hair is much finer than Pitt’s so not sure I can pull it off, or whether I’ll just get bored, but let’s give it a go 😂 pics are right now, not planning on getting a cut for a few months... it’s already starting to annoy me 😂

The Man, the Myth, the Legend!! @Aftermath
Just checked out your thread, looks awesome mate, great density and hairline, I have fine hair like you and I agree it’s hard to get great density with one pass, but you defiantly nailed it with your surgeries

Looking great as always. What brand of fin are you on if I may ask?
Thanks mate. I’ve always used propecia, I know it’s expensive but I know I’m getting it from a legit source I know it’s the 1mg dose every time and the Monday-Sunday packaging make it very easy to know where you are with it so I’ve maybe missed 4 or 5 tablets in 13 years.

I think you will make out good with 4500, just not on one day.
Yeah agreed. On one day would be a mistake. Pretty sure H&W stage it over 2 days if it’s that size. But that’s way too big for a single day procedure
-
4500 is about right If you want to address the whole area imo. 2500 would only give you a good appearance in the frontal 1/3. I had a similar pattern and had 2000 done in my first op and it did very little. It was worsened by poor dr choice, but 2.5k isn’t much for an area that big.

Thanks, my hair has always been pretty fine, but seems to have actually thickened with age (I’m talking actual hair caliber), and thankfully it seemed to stabilise in about 2008, so the procedures have all maintained their effectiveness thankfully.
