If I absolutely had to choose one in the UK it’d be dr reddy, but tbh I wouldn’t go with a UK surgeon, they are miles behind in terms of results and their prices are typically sky high, I made the mistake of having my first surgery in the UK and in hindsight that wasn’t a great decision... hairline like a flip flop and the density of a bag of feathers... and the only major change was in my bank balance 😂

The best results I have seen with FUE belong to Raymond Konior, Jose Lorenzo and Juan Couto.
Meh, I mean no disrespect because he’s great and very ethical but konior is overrated to me. Just my personal opinion, still an elite world class surgeon but on this site it’s like he’s a god!😂

Hey @AftermathYou work for Dr. Hasson at all? You promote him on these forums so I’m just wondering Before someone pays the price is there any info we should Know. When he saw some of the bad work from fario did you end up removing some of it?
No mate, I’m just a grateful patient, zero financial incentives unfortunately. The work by farjo wasn’t bad in that it needed removing, the lack of density just made it look terrible

5 years ago it was Dr. Lorenzo lol both coincidentally in Spain hmm wonder why their results look so amazing.
I remember talking to dr hasson in his office about this case. This was a single pass and dr hasson commented on how easy it was to achieve density because of the guys Spanish heritage, he also said the guy had plenty of donor left

If money and travel were not issues... Dr Juan Couto in Spain would be the best option nowadays: Extraordinary densities, amazing natural hairlines, temples like no other and highest % of graft survival.
And no matter what type or big or small alopecia, Couto looks like he can do it all bordering on perfection in all his cases.
Just a couple of examples from FUExpert Clinic YouTtube Channel... AMAZING RESULTS!
Best of luck on you search!!Pretty much every case he has is on Spanish guys. Spanish guys have the best donor supply, and the best hair characteristics for density and coverage. Not saying he isn’t a fantastic surgeon, just that the type of patients he works on routinely make his work look far better than if he’s operating on your average white or Asian guy

Yeah - the USD thing did not go unnoticed. I was a little surprised by this, but they explicitly stated that all prices were in USD. They are clearly seizing on the strong USD by pricing everything in USD instead of CAD. Those sneaky Canadians. Can't say I blame them - although I was hoping to take advantage of the favorable exchange rate.
It’s always been in USD (at least since my first surgery in 2008) Canadian customers pay CAD everyone else it’s USD. It’s Due to exchange charges etc. Maybe if you were to pay in cash in CAD?!lol

I had both fut '2015 and fue '2019 with Dr Hasson.
Why are you paying US$ for the surgery when H&W are in Canada? Based on 3000 grafts and price per graft for both surgeries your figures seem correct but I believe it is Canadian$ you would pay.
For me the fut was definitely a longer recovery for my donor because I lost sensation in my scalp in the donor area where they took out the strip. This lasted for a few months and slowly came back. In 2015 H&W wasnt doing fue so I only had the fut option. For me personally I was hoping I could have done another fut instead of fue but I didnt have the scalp laxity to do it. I was planning eventually if I needed a third surgery then do fue. If you already have the scar and definitely don't plan to wear your hair short then I think going fue would be ok.
It’s only Canadian dollars if you’re Canadian and the transfer is done from a Canadian bank, otherwise it’s USD

Never really considered it as my hair grows so quick it's covered over anyway.
If I ever need another HT then filling in the scar could be an option:
1)Fill in scar (~150 grafts I think would do it as the right side is very fine) + another 1000FUE to tidy up elsewhere...FUE donor left exhausted; or
2)FUT 1500-2000 + some further FUE left in the tank.
Will have to make that call if and when it ever comes around!
Not to question your decision because obviously it’s working well for you but I always wondered why you decided to go for FUE when you already had a strip scar and plenty left in the tank. Was it just the downtime that put you off FUT the second time?

Yeah maybe you’re right because looking at your first pic I’d have said that looked slightly stretched, looks great in the second one. No FUE into that scar? If not is that something you’d consider? I should imagine you’d only need 300 grafts max

It’s really a case of this:
FUT pros:
- better graft survival and more available lifetime grafts
- obviously financially much cheaper
- easier to hide the procedure than shaving half your head
FUT cons:
- more after pain, and restricted gym time for longer
- linear scar which is only of concern if you want hair short
FUE pros:
-no linear scar
-less post op pain And down time
FUE cons:
- less graft survival (in most cases)
- less available lifetime grafts
- thinning of donor area (dependant on extractions as to whether noticeable)
- shaving half the head unless you pay premium and have non shave FUE (which I believe H&W only offer for smaller cases)
-financially more of an outgoing
I've had FUT With dr hasson and don’t regret it one bit.
the way I see it is have strip to maximise available grafts and you can always have FUE after if needed and even FUE into the scar if you wish to Camoflauge it further
Ive recently added donor pics in my thread if you’d like to see how it looks after multiple strips

I don't see any stretching of the scar, just areas still a bit shock lossed which should fill-in at the same rate as the front. It gives the impression of having been stretched but in some areas you can see hair growing out of the center of otherwise 'blank' space.
I’m pretty sure there is some stretching (Not excessive) although I agree it’s more noticeable with the shockloss and if there’s no further stretching I think it’ll look just fine and probably improve as the shockloss grows back.
-
Mine has had the baseball hat look in the past but I’m pretty sure it went over time, although I have had another procedure since then. Looks like there’s been a little stretching of the scar in some areas, did your scalp feel tight after the op at all? Nice improvement from last month, still early days also so time for it to improve further over time

The fact is 99.9% of hair transplant patients will have the 'illusion' of density and even aftermath would agree.
Yeah I agree 100%. It’s impossible to have 100% density and you’re always gonna end up with less hair after a HT not more (it’s just redistributed) and there’s bound to be grafts that don’t survive and native hairs damaged/transected etc, this fact in itself means that by nature there’s some form illusion at play, it just all depends on how skilled your chosen surgeon is at using your remaining hair to create as close to a natural and dense result that’s possible with modern day HT techniques... believe me, not all surgeons are created equal!

Here are some random pics I could find on my phone where my hair wasn’t styled as it is now, 3 of them I’m just taking the piss, not actually walking about like it!lol and the couple of others aren’t the best quality but that’s all that was on my phone, but I thought it’d demonstrate what it’s like when not just styled in my usual way.

Looks fantastic. Do you dye your greys? Or are they not noticeable with product?
I don’t have many greys thankfully, I sometimes have foils in the top, not for greys but just for styling, I do sometimes dye my beard though and when I do I just dye the few stray greys I have in the sides!lol

Amazing, there is no hint of donor damage or anything. It looks natural and good. No donor decimations no density losses no unnaturalness. This is how things should look.
Totally regret my past due to the nightmares and damages ive been left with.
i think Dr Hasson is better then most when it comes to hair restorations. He should definitely post on the forum more often. It may save a lot of folks. H&W seem to be putting out killer results.
congrats man!
Thank you Sean, I agree they need to have more of a presence on here, considering how long they’ve been around and how many procedures they’ve done over that time the comparative lack of dissatisfied patients speaks for itself, it’s impossible to have a 100% success rate but they’re damn close imo

Ok that would be great thank you.
I've got an appointment next week for a consultation. Will keep you posted to see what he says
Ok mate, I’ll try and see if I can get a pic of the donor area when I’m back in the house later today and PM

Wow that looks amazing, you must be pleased!
5 strips? How does the back of your head look? Was it all through one scar or multiple scars?
All through the one scar, it looks absolutely fine, I’ll try and take a pic and PM you as not to hijack your thread. I did do a comb through vid in my thread recently but it’s only through the top and not the donor. If you’re doing strip are you looking to farjo again? What were his thoughts on further procedures?

Yes the first one was around 2100 and the second the same.
I am interested in strip again If I can for the quantity. The laxity is good, He said I have a loose scalp when stitching me up also.
how many strip procedures can you have generally?
I’ve had 5. My first was by farjo, I think I maxed out around 11k!lol

Hi
Thank you
Yes it was Farjo. The front January 2013 and the crown November 2018.
The question now is can I use beard to fill the crown a bit as Paddy suggested for density and use the better remaining donor hair for the mid and improve the hairline again.
what do you think?
So you’ve had 2 transplants, was the first one around the 2000 mark as well? So 4000 total? How’s the laxity? My game plan would be to max out on strip, then FUE after and maybe leave body/beard hair until the end since it’s not going to look at natural and be a different texture
Anyone know any good Hair Transplant clinics in Ireland/UK
