  1. "Show me a patient by a top doc on this site that does't look better after 7500 grafts? " I agree 100% If you plan it right, and work with someone who can predict where your hair loss will end up. Game changer. Just don't expect thick hair. I feel its really difficult to educate someone on that. I''m not math guy like but lets say FUT 7500 x $3 = 22500 add taxes flight etc rounds up nicely to $25000
  2. It's a decent read, and would be helpful for anyone considering a HT Google search "“Why Hair Transplants Are a Bad Idea - Miami, FL”"
  3. I wore my medical cap, and a snow hat for the first 7 days, and I worked out well
  4. "If you are a nw5 to nw7 you have to be realistic. The surgeon will also tell you this." On that road to a nw5 myself. I was not aware of what my HT would truly represent. Never once did I hear, were advise, or read that my hair would be "see through" I am aware of my continue loss and always knew that I would need multiple HT's and was prepared for the expense. I just was very misguided to believe I could have a full head of hair for $30k, Now had someone said, you will only be able to get 25% density. At least that would have been honest. That information (even on this board that supposedly helps you), it is a pretty tough to figure that out. Plus the pics from the clinic look so great. No one shows you a pic of a NW5 with a $30k head, just out of the shower, or under light conditions where it is "see through." NW5+ up you are chasing a hair dragon (durrrr) I feel the board really fails to educate in that aspect. Now a NW3 and your hair loss has stabilized. Any day of the week. There are some crazy great results out there.
  5. Hey, if it doesn't come back.. schedule an appointment with a urologist that works with body builders and does TRT replacement. These are the only doctors educated and familiar with Propecia issues. Google search Urologist, TRT, <your city> These guys will at least attempt a solution to get you back to normal. The rest of the doctors and people will tell you to get healthy, talk to a shrink, or do some shit you never had to do before to get a erection.
  6. "see through hair" That's what got me, and hit me blind sided. When I got my 2nd ht, i was just so disappointed because I could see right through it. It is what it is, but it really took me by surprise.
  7. "Not sure I agree with all of this. Firstly, if you have only lost 25 percent of your hair, it will make a massive difference. " NO, he says you will only get back 25% max of your original density. Again, for a NW5 to 7 this is the truth.
  8. "1. There isn't enough hair. If you pour about $40,000 into it, you can get back maximum 25% of your original density. That's it. About 7,500 grafts. " I completely agree with his statement. NW5 to NW7 are chasing something that simply is not there, and will never have a full head of hair, never have the density. PLUS 40k. Although there are some amazing docs here that look out for you, and will not just "take your money." Shapiro, Lindsey come to mind. I would tell any NW5, to buzz and SMP, you will live a better life. Now, below that NW scale results are simply amazing. A NW3 getting 3500 grafts is a game changer
  9. Shave your head down before hand so you can get used to that look. Then see if you still want to go the HT route. Also think about hairline, and future loss. You can build your hair line however you want, maybe a windows peak instead of going across. If your loss does not stabilize, you will absolutely need a second HT, for that up front area. Is your crown thinning? That's too fronts of hair loss, it will be a big deal if you go HT route.
  10. I think it looks pretty good. I would work with a better barber though. A skilled barber could do wonders with your hair. How's the crown? Have you noticed a difference with Propecia? Do you feel its working?
  11. "Most patients don't even start seeing signs of growth until between 3 to 5" I would disagree with you that sir. That most patients "see" results between 3 to 5 months. OP is at 5 months, approaching the six month mark, and I personally would be concerned. "TommyLucchese" kind of feels the same. I agree with the OP concerns and see them as valid, where as you do not. Unfortunately the OP's only option is wait. Weather his concerns are valid or not valid, OP gets to wait. 1. Posting pictures will not change anything. 2. He can talk to his doctor, and that will not change anything, 3. He can start a few more threads and research and waste countless hours and that will not change anything. Also, it could be his expectations are not aligned, Depending on the type of hair, extra grafts might not make a density difference to him. Either way, the answer to all his questions will be the same. Check back in 1 year post op. I'm simply trying save he OP from some monkey brain.
  12. I have had 2 HT. In my pictures, you can see mys scar. It is a decent size scar, but with the right stylist I can go down to a 3'ish and be good.
  13. For the first 7 days don't touch your head at all. Have the medical cap on, maybe a loose hat, and just zone out for 7 days. You want to make sure those grafts get set before you start fucking with stuff
  14. If your going to do this over the web, you need massive amount of head shots, and you need to have a consultation with doc over skpe or in person. 1. Doc should not even talk to you if you have not shaved your head down to a at least a 2 or 1. You need to see the other side first before you commit to a HT 2. Meet with some local docs, get some opinions. 3. Talk skype, visit in person with some out of town docs. If your on the path to NW5 to NW 7 you will spend 20 to 30k to be happy. So your $350 flight to someone's office will mean nothing.
  15. The deposit seems cheap, and paying in cash is shady. It raises my eyebrow anytime someone says pay in cash. You already got a couple of red flags, and you should move on and find someone else
  16. I feel my scar got stretch or something happen to it. It's in my profile pics. Not to worried, it can be repaired, or re visioned. Styled, I can shave down to a guard 3. Thought it did miss my expectations about having a "a pencil thin scar"
  17. Why would posting photos help? They will not. You have good cause to be concerned, however, but the only option is to wait. Your doc is going to say wait, senior board members will say wait In the end you might be fu**ed, or you might not be.
  18. 1 HT with Rahal 3500 grafts went very well

    2 HT with Lindsey, 1800

Well that's not "pencil thin" I wonder what happen. Dr. Lindsey says he does not know.

  23. After my second HT, I was disappointed. I was disappointed because I had a "see through" look. Now I understand the "illusion of coverage" and my hair is thin to begin with.
