  1. Both my docs gave me a script for Vicodin, the first week I used them.
  2. Who knows, but if she got very close to you, she could easily tell you were wearing concealer. Concealers work from a distance, but up close, its obvious you have some junk in your hair. A girl are your age, it should be a non issue.
  3. I have read it takes 7 to 9 days for grafts to 'hold' in place. From the pictures I have seen with FUE, a patients head looks reasonable after two weeks.
  4. More information about what Dr. Madhu had to say about your head. Did he mention how many donors you had?
  5. Depending on your flexibility, needs, wants, you should be able to get in the $3-4 range easily
  6. Yes, after talking with the doc who did my 2nd HT. I am convinced that it was me, and I was just a lousy patient.
  7. "As with many clinics, you not just looking at the work of the doctor, but at the work of the team." Not stressed enough..
  8. I've seen Kellers work through this board, and it looks pretty amazing. Consult with him, and let him know money is a issue.
  9. Hmmmm.. just can' tell. Not sure if this is the start of something great or something not so great. Best wishes
  10. Can't give you proper advice, unless we get a nice face shot However, I'm not positive, but since you have dark thick hair, and your skin is dark, you might 'actually' benefit from a HT, (Probably Hanson and Wong) go for the biggest session you can do. I would not close the door just yet. I would opped for a in person consult, get your donor checked out. If you going to spend the money its worth spending 400 dollars to fly out there just for a meet n greet. Or talk to some local docs, see if there is any consistency. Don't rush into anything, and don't agree to anything
  11. From what I read. IF you quit cold turkey today, it would take more then a few months before shedding. You should be fine.
  12. "guard 2 is rarer than hen's teeth." Agreed. Guard 2 is the sales pitch. Guard 3 or 4 is the reality.
  13. Guard 2 is a best case scenario. Nobody knows how the donor scar will heal or possibly stretch. The doctor will just keep telling you to wait till about 12 months to 18 months for final result.
  14. I feel comfortable with my Lindsey scar around a guard 4. Anything below that it becomes noticeable to where I get comments. (What happen to your head)
  15. Can't argue with your pics Eman. Those are impressive results
  16. "but I was worried that when it gets wet or have hair wax in it that it would look thin and balding" If you are lacking density, getting your hair wet will expose your thinning hair. Using styling product which bonds the hair, will also expose your lack of density. The wrong kind of lighting will expose your lack of density.
  17. " The side effects will disperse once you continue use, it is not permanent." maybe you are meaning discontinue use. It is my belief through countless hours of reading, friends, various sites, that Permanent Propecia side effects are 'mostly' through guys that got sides, and thought they could take a supplement and "power on through" (my term)
  18. "Do they all insist because it is quicker or because it produces better results?" Soooo... no actual answer to this? I had just assume it gives the doctor space to work.
  19. Point, clinics only shave the area down where your transplant hair goes. If it's just the crown, only the crown gets shaved down.
  20. Try Propecia, quarter tablet every third day. If your wee-wee goes soft, then stop. DO NOT try to power through the sides, as James84 is suggesting.
  21. Interesting on your case. Admittedly, I have not come across or read much about stretched scars.
  22. I have consulted with several doctors about my strip scar. They have all more or less said because my skin is flexible. I should leave the sutures in for two weeks versus the 7 to 9 days Lindsey suggested.
  23. Solid advice MAGNUMp You look younger, as in a boy. Think of John S. He looks like a man. I think a lot of people didn't try the shave look. We got caught up in the process of preserving this version of ourselves with hair. Lots of reasons, losing hair to early, having to shed the boy hair for a man head. Can be very painful. Shave your head and feel that relief.
  24. Go big int the front, medium in the middle and light in the crown. Crown just needs some spares coverage
  25. Your losing hair in the front all the way back to the crown. Norwood 5A+ A HT for you would restore your hair for about "5 years" give or take, and depending if the meds work, and your hair loss slows down. As you age, and (if the meds don't work) your hairloss continues, you would need another HT, to continue with what you think you need. If you got a HT now, you would LOVE the results, because of the instant gratification and mostly you have lots of native hair. But as you age, your hair line is going to pull back, and you will need another one. They will become less effective, (due to your increase hairloss) Believe ir or not, I think your hair is still way to good to warrant a HT. Don't use the wet shower bright sunlight pic, but the other to judge. You can use concealers, different hair style with a good barber for the next several years. You also need to see if you like the shave look. You absolutely need to try it out, it will solve SOOOOOOOOOO much if you have the courage to shave it down. Hairloss can be a brtual boy to man process. Try the meds, the concealers, try shaving it down.. hold off on a HT just yet.
