  1. I agree I'm recently very impressed with the work. I've seen some intra op vids from hakan and he's packing 120+/cm2 which is great.
  2. Dr. Hakan, Do you have any pics of temple point restoration? Or, could you comment on your approach and whether or not you use lateral slit incision?
  3. Yea that's the point! He's a friggin NW0/1 now that makes NW3's jealous lol
  4. This is an axing result. NW3's all over the world are jealous lol
  5. If you have an issue with work and your post op appearance then you're going to take off after a procedure regardless if its a cancellation spot or not. All these discounts people are shouting out are pure speculation. You should simply contact the clinic you're interested in and negotiate with them. Cancellation spots have a long wait list anyway so don't be so sure you'll get one.
  6. Hey, you are supposed to spray saline on the grafts every two hours and drip vit e oil on them daily. The baby shampoo is good but I wouldn't touch the grafts to much.
  7. It looks a bit better in these pics. The center patch may be normal graft shedding. All those grafts will begin to fall out. Are you following any post op care regimen? Vitamin E? Saline? We're you instructed not to shower? The grafts are very fragile right now you must take care to not injure them and shouldn't be touching them or allowing the shower water to run directly on them. What's done is done now just take proper care and follow strict post op care instructions. I would consult with a different surgeon and not simply choose one because you have no other options.
  8. Right, I could see that. However, even the aggressive docs I don't think (save for some rare cases) restore to 100% in all locations. One of things I noticed about rahal hairlines is that he sacrifices the center for the corners. Meaning he will aggressively close the corners but in order to do so he sacrifices the central portion of the hairline. It is a more mature placement but the squaring is more aggressive and creates the illusion of a younger hairline due to the angle. Others will replicate the center point and recede slights at the corners. This approach may end up using same number of grafts but in different locations and yields a more mature look. However, since the hair density will never be a 100% match IMO as you age changing your hair style even with a rahal hair line will give a more mature look.
  9. Well hair doesn't normally grow like that. It's not perfectly lined up it is totally random and both directions and angles change.
  10. By the way, Spanker I just looked at your photos. Great result but I don't think you could have gone any more aggressive then you did. That looks like you pretty much got restored to 100% of your post pubescent hairline.
  11. I prefer rahal hairlines. I've seen others do great work as many have mentioned. It's just personal preference and I think your current NW level and age have a lot to do with this decision. I don't buy the 'age appropriate' argument. Men who don't lose hair look fine at 50 with a nice strong hairline. Look at Ronald Reagan or bill Clinton. Your face ages, your hair may great a little or a lot... All these things age you and it's not necessary for your hairline to recede to be 'age appropriate' as many claim. If you're coming from a higher Norwood level then perhaps but again this is all case specific IMO.
  12. I think also that in a small subset of the population, since HT is technically a kind of organ transplant albeit native, the grafts can fail to 'take' even after successfully growing. There is a decent thread where a gentleman (a lawyer I believe) experienced this strange phenomenon. This is not the norm though.
  13. The pain you describe sounds like nerve pain. I'd start taking a b complex vitamin right away and talk to your doctor. This will go away but can take some time. To be honest, and not to discourage or scare you but the implanted grafts appear to be lined up and unnaturally placed to me. It's hard to tell from these pics alone though. Can you supply some more current pics? Also pre op and immediate post op?
  14. You need to grow your hair out a bit to gain a better perspective of your level. I think it's best you speak to the clinic to determine fees rather than speculating on cost and number of grafts.
  15. What makes you say well researched celebs got to H&W?
  16. There are some pretty bad horror stories of medical treatment state side too
  17. MTL I think expecting 40% off is a bit unreasonable. They will work with you but I can't imagine any clinic discounting 40% off. What's your NW level? Maybe a better strategy would be to have rahal do your hairline and take care of the rest at a later date with some of the cheaper, albeit pretty good, FUE docs..
  18. Very nice result. How old is this patient? Can you share post op photos of graft placement?
  19. Haha that's from a wild night out in buffalo college days. Black ice and booze.
  20. To be honest I didn't have any concerns until you said what you said! I think it was just a reflex reaction that spooked me for a sec. Rahal did my first few extractions to make sure the grafts were ok then mike took over. I'm actually not to worried as I agree with that its such a repetitive task and felt I was in good hands with mike. It's possible they switched while I was asleep but every time I woke up during extraction it was mike. Rahal obviously did all my incisions.
