  1. Yea best case scenario is its folliculitis but as nick said it really doesn't look typical for folliculitis. It could be the opposite of cobble stoning...
  2. I think we have all heard of stories like this. If you know how to travel and not be an idiot in a foreign land I think you'll be fine.
  3. Dr. Hakan Thank you for taking the time to address my question. I have a few more, if you don't mind? In one of your videos I see you've define a 1 square cm area and are you the pen implanted to implant what appears to be 120 grafts per cm2. This appears to be an amazing feat. Many on here have questioned this as typically we see 50-60 g/cm2 implanted. Can you comment on this since many have donor density that is far less than that. On another note, I'd like you to answer if you could the difference between scalp tissue and the skin adjacent to it on ones forehead. I notice that if I buzz my hair the hair containing scalp tissue appears to be slightly raised in comparison to the skin on my forehead. Do we know what accounts for this phenomenon? I ask, because I noticed, that when I began to lose hair in my temples that this characteristic of the raised scalp tissue was also lost. The scalp area that became bald took on the appearance of the forehead skin. Additionally, in talking to those who have had HT and the hair has grown out they've stated that the hair appears to grow from 'normal skin' and not the previous 'scalp tissue' that native hair grows from. I know that scalp tissue has considerably more blood supply which is why head wounds bleed more and also connective tissue that allows for the mobility of the scalp but am unsure if this is what yields that characteristic I describe. Thanks in advance for your answers.
  4. Wow a 1.5 is deep. I don't know how you can derma roll with that size needle without first numbing the area. I actually tried with my .5 on my crown and it killed. I used a topical numbing cream and it was tolerable but I can't imagine doing it with a 1.5.
  5. I would contact your doc this could be folliculitis and you will need antibiotics to treat it. if it is it's not a problem.
  6. You could consider taking 1mg every other day and see if your symptoms abate without affecting the efficacy of the result on your hair. Perhaps you should consult your prescriber on this.
  7. Absolutely couldn't agree more. Why not put it across the forehead and not the hairline? After all aren't your intentions to showcase the actual hair? I mean you could put a black stamp across his forehead and we could still easily see the actual work.
  8. mine has fue but yes they are dense packed! Lol. Watch the video we are talking what appears to be 120 grafts placed in a 1cm2 box with the choi implanter. Perhaps this is body hair and so they are packing more in because of lower yield. I have no idea but I would love for a hakan rep to shed some light on the situation. Would be great if this forum had a tagging feature like fb, does it??
  9. Not that it's necessary just impressive skill wise. I've seen what *appears* to be some amazing transformations on some high NW patients from him. You sure your dog doesn't have fur?
  10. It sounds like you need to reevaluate your expectations. What is your current NW level? And what is your goal? You are also 25 and life as well as expectations are considerably different.
  11. Update with clinic photos: First four are pre op and the last one is hairline design...
  12. The anxiety is a common reported side effect from minox. If you get it I would reduce to one time per day and use a bit less of the foam making sure to work in well. This has helped me. I also used to get headaches from it as well...
  13. This is very interesting. This may support the theory of 'malnutriton' as discussed here: **outside link removed by moderator** I found this articles by Dr. Jeffrey very insightful too. Wonder if there is a connection here.
  14. Hi, save. Thanks. You may be looking at a week or two post op before the grafts all shed. The last one where the redness is more visible is the most recent. I'm closing in on 3 months and I have some early sprouters and new growth coming in but nothing like that pic Who was your doc? Do you have some pics to share? I'd be interested in following your progress.
  15. Agreed. Can you give more details of the case. How far along are you post op? Is it possible more singles will come through in front of this? If you really wanted to permanently get rid of that graft with minimal/no scarring you could use electrolysis to remove it permanently.
  16. Yea I agree with all of you. It is hard to believe and also unnecessary. However, there is another video where he measures it with a tape measure. It's definitely NOT an inch. I know that much. And like someone said they use metric there. I believe it is hakan and I would love to hear from him on this. It appears to be the Choi implanter pen. I saw a case of his where he did a total of 8500 grafts. There is a video of it. I believe 1500 were body hair. Still, that means nearly 7k were standard donor fue. The guy basically show no signs of ever balding. Perhaps there are thin spots but it was some transformation. We need more clarity on this for sure.
  17. A loose fitting cap should be ok so long as it is new and clean.
  18. I don't think it's an inch though. Look at it in relation to his finger. It's not larger then his finger tip you can see a few times his finger approximates the area and it gives you a frame of reference.
  19. Although I just watched again and I'm not sure that is a cm... Have a look ant let me know what you think.
  20. There is a site hairtransplantation-turkey dot com Go to the video section and watch the ones where there is an implantation counter. It appears, from watching that video, that they are getting quite a few grafts in there.
  21. MTL, if price is a huge concern for you which it appears to be why not consider dr. Hakan I think he does amazing fue work. You can plan your travel ahead of time, take off work and cost is 2euro a graft.
  22. Watch the videos on his site it documents it intra op as he is implanting into a 1sq cm area
  23. Spanker, good point on the travel. I've been to turkey before but not since the recent developments. Although for a HT it might be best to get in and get out with out any 'travel'.
