  1. if a small hair or 2 pop out with pimple months after surgery, did i lose the hair permanently or is that just temporary? im over 2 months post op. the hairs were extremely short in length but came out with pus. normal or bad? this has happened with few areas on scalp
  2. FUT I can buzz with 3 and not see scar but that almost 12 months of healing as scar gets little smaller with time. FUT produces best yield. And it's cheaper. My opinion is you will need FUE but start out with strip then second surgery go to FUE. But that's my opinion. Talk to other as well.
  3. ney nwood5, you should look into a company called MAXIM. They charge 2.95 per graft and specialize in large cases. I went through them and thought their work was solid and clean. This is all my opinion but they were bad at all. you can see pictures of my procedure on my forum if you scroll down. just thought id throw my 2 cents in :)good luck in your journey
  4. hey dolph1969. I have personal experience advice for you. I got exact same area covered 4 years ago with 1100 grafts fut and it was solid but left me wanting more. I think you will look solid with what you got but for that area I think 2200-2500 grafts would ahve given you what you are looking for. However, I think your result will be solid and look great. but you will notice some thin areas because I think 1600 was not aggressive enough. but like i said, thats just my opinion and experience. Your result should look very solid
  5. thanks scotty9107. your progress from 60-90 days is extremely noticable and I hope to copy that success! i will keep you updated and ill be checking your progress as well. wish me luck! i attatched my 48 hours post op pics on first message to you if you want to judge.
  6. im 57 days post op. Is it normal to see some pimples? and i have noticed few hairs growing and im not even 2 months in? but of course growth is extremely minimal. my post op pics are link below. i asked in this thread because i noticed many people on this thread are 2-3 months post op. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185554-going-crazy-post2491127.html#post2491127
  7. I had 2005 grafts via FUT 50 days ago. Just to compare. It looks alot less than 2000 grafts but that's just my opinion. I attached link below for comparison. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185554-going-crazy-post2491127.html#post2491127
  8. i use nioxin level 3 shampoo and conditioner. Not sure this is too important of an issue. but thought id throw my two cents in. im 50 days post op.
  9. Yes, an example would be like you have smoke for 20 years, high blood pressure, etc. even then I'm not sure of the difference in outcome but my point is going out and drinking few times weeks after hair transplant in my opinion will have zero impact.
  10. I think overall health is what has bigger weight on this issue. People freak out over what if I have a smoke or a drink or get drunk. I got wasted a week after my first hair transplant and had few smokes and it had no play on outcome. My opinion is if you go in with bad health and bad habits that the outcome could be altered. There is a such thing as caring too little and not being smart and there is also overthinking. That's my opinion and experience. I'm not a professional
  11. i think you should go for between 1500 and 2000 grafts via FUT. if you go under this you will be craving more and unsatisfied. its not just a matter of filling in temples, they will have to bring the sides around naturally and that requires grafts. I think the perfect guy for this would be someone like a Dr. Rahal or someone that specializes in high density hairline procedures. 500-1000 grafts will make you want more and unsatisfied. -opinions are my own
  12. I have had a bunch of shedding that looks like this I'm post op 9 days. no rice grain graft size things but a bunch of hair/scabs looking ones. this normal or cause for concern?
  13. Is it normal for density to look great post op but by day 7-10 most hair shed? I feel like I have seen some people have great looking density by day 10 give or take. My hair shed with scabs after week, not rice size grains which would be grafts but hair with scabs and now my hair that is still waiting to shed rest of hair looks much thinner? is this normal?? my post op looked so high in density and now I feel like I can almost count the hairs on my frontal hairline where transplant was done and I'm 9 days post op.
  14. I'm 26 and I have at the high temples thing since high school. if you ever watch the paid programmings on hair transplant it says in small writing on bottom of screen "most patients have had 2 or more surgeries" so thats when I realized I had to go in for number 2. maybe you will, maybe you won't but I can say this, 1700 is good amount for your first surgery and you will be much happier. but like I said, I think you will want a little more, just my guess, we will see
  15. hey, I am 72 hours post op myself and I had 2005 grafts don to hairline. ill show pictures link below. and I had 1126 done November 2012. I find generally, nobody is going to be super happy with one hair transplant, hats number 1. your first one looks like it will look nice but leave you hanging for little more. I would not sweat it. I was happy with 1126 grafts for first surgery and you having 1700 you should be pleased so don't be too stressed. I also had unevenness as my second surgeon pointed out. you'll truly find out when hair starts growing. 6 months is usually good judgement zone. stay positive, worst case scenario you have plenty of grafts left. here is link below to show you my recent 2005 grafts I had on 12/14/17. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185554-going-crazy-post2491127.html#post2491127
  16. YES! i believe that men noticing balding at all should jet to propecia and rogaine before major hairloss is noticed. at least rogaine. i started using rogaine when i got receding hairline and i have been using for 5 years and i have no bald spot. i think when people wait for noticable bald spot regrowth is hard to get. dont wait, play DEFENSE. #bettersafethansorry
  17. post op 48 hours pictures 2,000 FUT thoughts? comments? responses i appreciate in advance my understanding is that this is pretty solid density and will be above average for density compared to most results but want opinions. this is my second surgery so after this surgery i will have had 3100+ grafts in frontal region total. 1st surgery=1126 grafts 2nd surgery=2005 grafts
  18. Propecia, regaine. Hair transplant potentially. That's the answer in my opinion
  19. I did Bosley first surgery and they were more expensive for 1,000 grafts than my procedure I had for 2,000 grafts today. I find they are more interested in number of dollars they get from you then number of grafts they give you that are needed. What you think of this result from 12/14/16. I'm very satisfied.
  20. how do i post a forum post like this with pictures? cant find it to save my life. any help would be great. have post op pics
  21. feel great about this transplant. Wanted all your thoughts. I'll show picture before today, then pre op, post op. I believe my density is really good and am excited to hear back from all. Questions and comments welcome
  22. I would reccomned no hair transplant, when hairloss is this signifigant this early on its a sign that hair transplant is not a good option. sorry i know that is not what you want to hear. if you have loads of money and can afford it...then perhaps do it if you have alot of body hair as well because their are alot of doctors who can transplant body hair as well. i wish you the best and hope propecia and surgeons prove me wrong
  23. hey CONEJO18. i got a HT 1000 grafts at age 22(24 now) and it worked out well however i was just at a receding hairline and my hair is very strong do to taking rogaine every day twice a day and biotin supplements. i have to be critical of you here, if you wanted your hair so bad you would have gotten on rogaine and propecia at 18 or 19 and you would see if HT is worth it. you waited for disaster before you starting getting mad at your situation. you seem like a bad candidate based off not your age but rate your losing hair, if you do the propecia and rogaine and notice improvement id go with one and one guy only. dr rahal. thats who im goign to next for my 2nd hair transplant. bad news- probably not a good candidate. good news- maybe the cure will be out in 5 years and all the ht people will look stupid
  24. I wanted to know sense I got my hairline fixed and I'm not on propecia due to the problems it made me have after being on it for 3 months, is it possible that after my hair started to recede that it stopped and it may not get worse for 5..10.or 15 more years or does it always continue to recede and recede fast and I'll have to play catch up with hair transplantation.
