  1. Ok.So I'm the only one that hair loss affects aspects of life. Why are you on a Hair loss forum if you aren't hindered by hair loss?
  2. Because of hair loss I will never approach a women for a date,I have never gone for a promotion at work,I won't swim,I Won't go to parties anymore,I won't go to school reunions..There is more but I won't list all of them..On a positive note I didn't go out to much so I managed to safe a lot of Money and have 2 investment properties, which helped pay for my Hair transplant..So I was wandering if anyone else here has counted the personal cost of hair loss has had on them? What activities has hair loss stopped you from doing?Hair loss sux it really rips your confidence away and for me it's been difficult to recapture..
  3. Are you wearing Toppik in these photos?it looks alot fuller.
  4. I'm not sure why Australia lags behind the rest of the world in Hair transplants, but as a veteran of 2 strip and a fue procedure in Australia,I can speak from expierance on this,There is just not 1 clinic prepared to tick every box in modern hair restoration like there is overseas.a few have tried but the results are just not as good as North Amercia and Europe.I thought the inventor of fue would have to be the world leader having invented the procedure but I found that this particular doctor has not moved with the times and So it's any wonder Australians and New Zealand patients head oversees.I finally went abroad to have a world class fue procedure recently and it was a great move.So until the Australian doctors get their act together I can't see things changing which is a shame.
  5. I agree with the comment about Dr Bhatti turning his business into a hair transplant production line.I dealt with Dr Bhatti before he became a coalition doctor and he was very nice and respective towards me,but as soon as he became a coalition doctor he changed, I noticed he wasn't as attentive with his replies to my emails and 1 question I asked him he completely dismissed my question outright, with the way he was answering my emails I knew success had changed him and I moved onto another recommend doctor.
  6. When I saw George on that boat on his way to get married I just stared at his hair and it did not move an inch, there was no sign of hairloss what so ever, every other male on that boat had some form of hairloss except George. The bloke is 53 now and his hair is perfect.Im going to throw it out there that he is defiantly wearing a Hair piece it's just not right especially knowing his father is bald. What do you guys think?
  7. So,she started texting me alot and asked me to go to a rock concert with her and friends of her.I just couldn't handle the situation any longer so I said to her in a text message:"Are you sure you want to go out with me,I have aged alot since you last saw me 20 odd years ago,Im not a good sort anymore".She was shocked and said what do you mean and I replied with:"my hair is thinning and my body is not the same as before".I thought she would not even reply but she did and said:"Thats ok I have changed alot aswell in the last 20 years lol:So moral to this story gentleman maybe there is some women out there that are willing to accept Hair loss, anyway we set up a date for the 16 of August.I feel great cos I was 100 percent honest with her now there will be no surprise looks from her.
  8. So, I'm on Facebook, and my profile picture looks ok I have a buzz cut 2 level, anyway this chick I got onto in year nine at school have not seen her for 20 years starts asking me alot of questions and wants to go out on a date with me.my hairloss is on top and at the back so she probably thinks from the photo on fb that im sporting a short haircut and I have all my hair. She has asked me out 3 times and each time I have made an excuse up not to go.I'm hesitant to meet her cos I would be upset if she ditched me after coming on so strong. This shelia is a good sort prob a 8 out of ten with hot friends. What would you blokes do in my situation?
  9. So I was wandering how successful beard hair is when used on the scalp.i have seen some very impressive results from Dr Umar but I was wandering how often these good results are seen.Is there a set criteria you have to meet for a BHT to be successful,or is it up to the skill of the doctor?
  10. Hey mickeydw,Im travelling from Sydney to Antalya in a few weeks, good to see someone else has made the same journey.i hope you get a great result..Sounds like all the travel was worth it.Im more nervous about the travel than the procedure itself..You are are 100 percent right about the Aussie doctors are just not up to standard, which is bloody frustrating!Good luck mate.
  11. So after researching for 4 years and getting cold feet 3 times I have finnaly made a booking with Dr haken doganay.Im determined to do it this time..The Travel is a long way 30 hours flying time!so its very daunting, but the most difficult thing for me is telling my unsupportive fianc? that I'm about to jump on a plane for 30 hours and have a hair transplant.she is going to flip out.I was just wandering what you guys told your loved ones about travelling os for a hair transplant?
  12. So I have seen plenty of good results from blokes with good donor hair, but I don't see to many good results with fine donor hair.Has anyone had a good result with only average donor?most clinics run the other way and won't risk their reputations on fine hair, but there must be some ok to good results out there.better still any doctors want to post some fine hair results.I can only think of 1 the dude from Canada he works for Hasson and Wong Jotronic I think.
  13. Hi buzzcut1.Im also booked in for temp smp in a couple of weeks.Did people notice your hairloss had improved and If yes.what did you say to them.any advice you have would be appreciated..Im the opposite to you as my area of concern is my crown region. My hairline and front third is ok.
  14. They did take a photo on the day.I stil have the staples in.On the 7th I have them removed so i can take an after photo then.I will post assp.
  15. I had a scar revision this week in Melbourne Australia with Dr Rhett Bosnich.Im very happy with the result.I have had two strip surgeries done in 2004 and 2005 leaving me with a very wide scar it was at least an inch wide in some places..So this has had a huge psychological effect on me.I tried fue into the scar but that failed completely.Looking back I should not have even tried fue into scar because the scar was to wide..So when the fue failed I fell into depression. All I wanted to do was buzz cut my hair down and forget about it.alot of friends would say your hair is thinning just buzz it.I couldn't cos of this wide scar..So I thought I would have 1 more go at fixing up my scar..I flew from Sydney to Melbourne last Tuesday and from the moment I arrived in Melbourne Dr Bosnich and his team looked after me very well..at 9am he gave me a needle and when I woke up he was just putting the last staples in my new scar. The nurse gave me a mirror to have a look.I was so happy with the result I nearly started to cry.The origanal scar was a inch wide. After I woke up and had a look the scar was like 1ml thick about as thick as a hair which is a huge differance.Im so gratefull to dr bosnich and his team..I can highly recommend this doctor to anyone in Australia thinking of getting a revision..I have been around a long time and have had 4 different doctors work on me and dr Bosnich is the best in Australia..
  16. Farrell hair systems seem to be a very high standard. They also are very expensive has anyone had much to do with them?also what about the follow up care. They don't have any studios or salons on my country.Anyone happy with Farrell?
  17. Ok dudes,I have listened to all the feedback and I will concede that maybe it wasn't the best example..But I will say this.If this guy doesn't get on the big 3 soon he might be joining this forum in a few years time..Thanks to Spanker for the support I have always respected your well thought out answers and Hairthere your very knowledgable on all things related to hair restoration..Im still going to post on here and I really like being apart of this forum..
  18. Hey stinger 99,If you think a receding hairline looks good on a man.Why are you even on a hair loss forum mate?I was trying to be positive and show an example of someone that can shrug off a receding hairline and do well in life.
  19. They were an item before she was crowned miss universe. She has made millions since with tv contracts and clothing contracts. He is a capertenor by trade.she would be worth alot more than him.
  20. The point I was trying to make was a positive one.I have read alot of posts over the years of blokes saying they can't get attractive women and their lives ruined because of minor recession. This guy should be an example of what can be achieved when you dress well and train hard in the gym.His recession becomes obcelete when all other boxes are ticked..
  21. This is former miss universe Jenifer Hawkins. She just married this guy.His hairline is receding.he is just holding on.maybe there is hope for all us norwoods after all.
  22. Baldboy7,I was in the same situation as you.I suffered with cycstic acne at the age of 18.In those days Roactanne had just hit the market so I rushed in and had a 6 month coarse of this medication.BIg mistake!Roactane dries all the oil up on your face and scalp.so by fixing my acne I made my hairloss accelerate so fast.dont use this medication for acne it will wreck your hair big time.
  23. On behalf of the other members.Id like to say a big thank you James. You have done a fantasic job of reporting the facts on the hair transplant business in Turkrey wich is still a pretty new and unknown frontier in the world of hair restoration..I'm booked In with Dr Haken in June and like you was not sure if I should go ahead but after reading your reports I'm still going ahead..I havnt told my girlfriend yet either..Thanks again pal.
  24. Thanks for the update James. As you know I'm going to Dr Haken soon.Your report is very reassuring to hear.Good luck with your upcoming procedure.sounds like you are in good hands champ.
