Hey nemo shark,Thanks for the good information.I was thinking if having prp treatments,but after reading your post I'm not going down that road..In the back of my mind I was feeling something isn't right now I know the truth..Thanks again.

I was just thinking back to all the negative comments I have received over the years regarding my hair loss..I remember it like it was yesterday..I went to my usual barber shop for a haircut.when I got to the entrance of the shop I noticed my usual barber man wasn't there.I was about to go home when a young dude Norwood 0 yells out come in I won't bite he says "I'm the new barber I just bought this shop.so I went in reluctantly.well I sat down and could see the barbers face in the mirror he went silent and was looking at my scalp closely..Then he had the saddest look on his face he said "Your going bald mate"How old are you?..I said 19 but my heart had already sunk..I felt terrible and I couldn't talk for the rest of the hair cut.sensing I was pretty upset about his comment he tried to be nice to me but the damage had been done..I know it's hard but can you recall the first negative comment you received?ps I never went back to this c..t for a haircut ever again..

So yesterday I had an appointment for fraxel laser treatment for my acne scars on my face.(yes I know Hair loss and cystic acne I was dealt a poor hand)but I digress..When I walked Into this clinic a gentleman was walking out.Straight away I noticed he had an exposed strip scar on display(he had a short buzz cut).The scar was from ear to ear and had the train track punch mark look about it.It was def a strip scar I now cos I have one myself.anyway when I went in to have my fraxel treatment the lady doing my laser work says to me."Did you see that last guy walk out when you walked in"?I said yes the one with the buzz cut..She says "Did you see the scar on his head"?I pretended I did t see it,trying to protect a fellow hair loss victim..She says "He is in the army and he got captured and taken hostage by the Taliban and the torturered him and cut his head open but he escaped".She believed the story so I went along for the ride to..as I laid there I was thinking of some of the lies we have to tell the people just to save face..I had a good laugh to myself..

Maybe go to a doctor and get a certificate for a week or two to buy you more time.

I'm an Aussie and have had ht with 2 Australian doctors and let me tell you that australian doctors are so far behind the rest of the world..I like you have been waiting for someone to stand out as a great ht doctor.Im not sure why we can't produce a great doc when we lead the world in other areas of medicine.I decided to go overseas and book a ht with a doctor recommend on this site..

I'm travelling overseas for a ht soon.I was just wondering what other people have said to family and friends to where they are going.Its a difficult subject to bring up with people.I havnt told anyone yet.Im pretty sure they will try to talk me out of it.i did touch on the subject with family once before and they all said "no way,why would you want to travel overseas for an operation".So I'm pretty torn between saying nothing at all.or just leaving a note for a couple of close family..

I have been a member here for a while now.before that I read many posts and followed certain doctors that are recommended here and are part of the coalition.I have always wondered why no Australian doctor has made the list.Is it because we are a long way from the rest of the world and are some what out of sight.There is alot of North American doctors recommended on this site.The reason I ask is I'm thinking of having a ht with an Australian Rhett Bosnich he seems to be top notch.He does fue,fut,mega sessions etc but I can't find him recommended buy this site,no Aussie doctor has made the list.Its a bit frustrating knowing we have to always travel to find a good doctor..This doctor calls himself world class on his website.I was wandering if Blake or Pat have heard of Dr Rhett Bosnich?

Hi fixsrrip,I was just wandering what clinic is performing temporary smp?im keen to have it done but can't find anyone doing the procedure yet.

So about 6 months ago I went out on a few dates with a chick.She was a great sort.probably the best looking women I have ever dated..She saw me on my facebook profile and asked me out..I was very happy to be dating this girl.My hair looks ok passable when styled correctly and with a bit of toppik in the crown area..So anyway after a few dates last year she didnt want to continue the relationship..I was upset but deep down I was ok because I felt she was too good for me anyway,and the facade was over I didn't have to worry about applying toppik and getting caught out covering up..Fast forward 6 months and she rang me up and said sorry for her princess behaviour and can we go out again..At first I was over the moon happy she rang back but on the other hand I'm worried about the constant thought of getting busted concealing my hairloss..what would you guys do in My situation?ps she is very well set up money wise (millionaire).

Is that permenant ink or temporary.It looks good now,but what if it turns blue later on he is stuck with it if temporary at least it will fade away after 18 months.

I was wandering what effect Nizorel and minoxidill might have on fading the ink premature.From all reports I have read so far the better you protect smp from sun and shampoos the longer it will last..So I would assume minoxidill could fade the temporary ink quicker than without using it.anyone tested this theory?

So I'm having a bit of trouble applying toppik to back of my hair. My lower crown is my thinning area and its very difficult to apply toppik without turning my arms in knots.it either goes on to thick or I miss the area completely and holding a mirror above your head in one hand and toppik in the other hand is difficult.has anyone had the same problem? Any tips would be helpfull.

Apparently beard hair is more robust than scalp hair.I had a choice of beard hair or scalp hair.Im so glad I went with beard hair cos It would have been a shame to waste good hair grafts on a scar repair that didnt work..

Yes thanks for the support.I just wanted to let every Aussie know that do t even bother with Australian doctors.I have had the mid fortune of dealing with 2 of them and believe me they are at least 5 years behind the rest of the world.Do your homework and travel to the best surgeons.

Otherside,yes your right i should name the doctor because Im out of pocket and have notgot a satisfactory result at all..The doctors name is Angela woods Campbell in Sydney Australia.She didnt even turn up the day I had booked my surgery I had to go home and come back the next day.she said she lost her keys to the front door.

Hi hair,the cost is 70,80,90.or a 100 a night.i don't need a visa cos I'm travelling from Australia but I'm not sure about South Africa.just do a google search and they have a list of the countries that need a visa for travel to Canada.good luck.
