  1. I don't think the cost was the main point of his post.. It was more of a side-point if anything. SMPrince - your post echoed some of my own thoughts as though you were in my head! It was only today that I went to the park with my selfie stick to record myself in order to see whether anything looked suspect in strong winds. Upon returning home, I ordered a pizza because of the stress. I am still unable to make up my mind - system or no system. Put another way - freedom but look less attractive vs. no freedom and look more attractive. Furthermore, I believe that hair gives one a more well rounded, polished look - which may prove to be useful in one's career (I'm quite career minded).. all that said - confidence and a sense of someone who is confident in his own skin trumps aesthetics every time. As you can tell, I am still unsure about what to do. What's worse - I got SMP done about 18 months ago which looks uber natural yet I've covered it up with a system.. Has a shaven head affected your personal relationships or career in any way? Have people said that you look better with hair?
  2. Hey CarrotMan - thank you for the detailed update! How have things settled in over the last few weeks? Has paranoia set in or anything like that? How is the blending from the sides and the back? Easy to maintain? Would be great to see some pictures as I am about to take the plunge soon; I'm particularly worried about blending, detectability and maintenance!
  3. Thanks for the responses. Just to update you, the SMP session with Milena went very well. My head looks less patchy, evening out the tone all over - all in all there is a major difference. I went with the approach set out above - started conservative, and not gone crazy with density. Ideally, I would have preferred it if there was more density in the frontal region, but it is not imminent. I am very happy with the result. The only issue I have is that I am not sure whether a shaven head is for me. Perhaps I just don't have the look, build, or overall style for it. Now considering hair systems (again) - but I had such an awful time with this when I did this a few years ago.. Full circle, it seems.
  4. Hi All, I don't know where to start. In short, I've been lurking on this forum for some time, and have also tried to do something about my hairloss: 1. Started to wear a hairsystem in 2010 for 1 year; I was attaching/detaching myself, experimented with tape and glue, etc.; however, I couldn't get the hair system to stick for more than 5 days. At times, I didn't feel like I had a realistic hairline for more than even one day. I went through hell, trying my best to not get found out at work. 2. I packed it all in by 2011. Shaved my head lol. I left it that way for 1.5 years and then got SMP (few months ago). The SMP has certainly made a difference; my head no longer looks patchy, my hairline is stronger, and it looks natural. Here's the thing. All the stuff you read in the magazines, forums, online, or hear from friends etc. is rubbish (my humble opinion) - LOOKS MATTER. It matters to one's career, women, and building rapport with essentially anyone you may meet. Of course personality is uber important, but all I am saying is that looks matter aswell. I'm nearly 35 and am finding it difficult to attract women - this wasn't a problem whatsoever when I had hair. Not even in the slightest. So here's the thing, I feel like I'm doing a full circle, and considering a hair system again; however, this time I want to do it properly - go to a salon and have it professionally attached/detached/blended. Any advice out there? NB: I seriously considered the hair transplant route, but I'm not a candidate as I have diffuse thinning in the donor area I can either wear a hair system or leave things as they are (shaven head). Cheers
  5. Hi all, I'm going to be taking the plunge and getting SMP done in a few weeks (temporary not permanent). Does anyone have any advice re. density and hairline to achieve the most natural look? Has anyone had any issues? Cheers
  6. Is there any update to this? I would be very interested to see some clearer pictures
