  1. Hey bonkerstonker, After sampling both strip and FUE. How would you rate them? Pros/Cons? Did your strip yield better? Or do you wish you went all FUE? Thanks, M.
  2. Hi alind, Do you think you'll need more grafts just behind the hairline? In your pre-op pics It seems you might need to cover more area. What do you think? M.
  3. Thanks gillenator, Good to know. I might be heading in the direction of FUE anyway to avoid a scar. Nice to hear the color issue might be better handled with FUE also. M.
  4. Your head looks good shaved. I would think long and hard before getting a FUT procedure (with scar). you would not be able to buzz your hair like that again comfortably.
  5. A question about white hair. I have some white/gray hair in the front/sides but my recipient area is much darker. How do doctors deal with that? Anyone have any experience? Thanks, Magnum
  6. HI shane13, In my research I've found that people say that doing 2 FUE sessions of 2000 maximum, with 8 months between them is smart. This allows the scalp to heal so you don't lose too many grafts to scalp trauma. People do seem to feel that FUT yield is better than FUE (but you'll have the scar). In your posts you seem pretty interested in coverage. I would choose a great FUT surgeon for best possible results if you dont mind the scar, or go 2 sessions 8 months apart with a great FUE surgeon. Cheers, Magnum
  7. Hey Guys, What happens if a scar stretches? Is it more noticeable even if the hair is covering it?
  8. Hey Aj29, any more new pics? your hair looks great. Congratulations! M.
  9. Cowl, I agree and would add: The difference is that his hair looked NATURAL before the HT. If you're going to walk around after a HT with an unnatural "fake" look there is no reason to have a procedure at all in my opinion. This HAS to look natural and be undetectable or we are wasting our time and money. I hope beaverbuzz get some free work done until he is satisfied. M.
  10. Thanks Mickey85, This is scary... but I guess true for the time being. I hope this all becomes less of a gamble in the near future. M.
  11. Olean, How long ago did you get your work done/with who? I was thinking "FUE" for the last year or so but a high profile/well respected HT person said that after all his FUTs and FUEs if he could do it all again he would just do one big FUT and nothing more, and that FUE probably wont yield very well and still leaves scars. Would you really have just left it alone? That is the big question.... M.
  12. Hey beaverbuzz, What are you planning to do now with this situation? What do you think went wrong here? M.
  13. Hi Olean, Would you consider posting some photos of your work and scar area? I have been considering strip method but I want to get all sides of the story before I do it. Many people still consider strip method to be better than FUE for a number of reasons, but there still is that "what if?" factor. Thanks, Magnum
  14. HI aj29, Your hair is looking great. Ive been considering Bisanga for a while now but haven't taken the plunge yet. I'm still a bit uncertain about 10 years from now etc. when you say what do you mean? What would you do in your 2nd procedure? Thanks, M.
  15. Wow. I keep thinking FUE but these results make me rethink FUT. Very impressive results. Congrats. M.
  16. Words of wisdom that I will remember. Thanks Bill.
  17. Thanks All, Thanks Janna. That is really nice to hear. Thanks gillenator for your experience. M.
  18. Thanks Biscuit, I checked out your blog. Really amazing results! Great work by Dr. Wong. I hope, hope, hope that when I take the leap I will get results similar to yours. You must be feeling really good about your decision. M.
  19. Hi Guys, I emailed him also. It took a little while but he did get back to me personally and was as nice as could be. In your opinion does his FUE get close to the same yield as others strip?
  20. Thanks Spanker. Ive been on Propecia for the last 6 years. I'm pretty sure I would lose a good amount of hair if I stopped. I checked the search engine like you suggested and found lots of really interesting posts. Thanks for the help. Magnum
  21. Here is a question for you Senior members: I wonder how my hair will look in 10-15 years from now if I go through with a hair transplant even from a top doctor. Lets say I had to get off Propecia (if I wanted to have a child) or for any other reason. Im thinking long term here Any long term HT patients out there want to chime in with their experiences?
  22. Judging by the pictures and blogs I've seen on this site and others "the ugly duckling phase" is a real phenomenon. Normally it seems like you will look worse than pre-op from month 1-3 (unless you are one of the lucky few who for some reason heal and grow super fast). After that you should start to look progressively better for the next 12 months.
