    FUE Transplant

http://transplantecapilar.pt/ I can recommend these two ladies for there excellent attention to detail before during and after FUE surgery. They are in Lisbon. They both belong to the International hair restoration society and I have just had a 2000 (4984 hairs counted from the 2000 extracted hairs) graft FUE hair transplant 2 weeks to the day. I am English and my history is one very poor FUT strip 11 months previously that failed to give a good result and I am A1 excellent physical health. Just e mail them with pictures of top, side, back, front of head and what you want done with prices and they have an excellent administrator who will answer your questions.
  2. 10,000 grafts would require about 7 or more days to extract and transplant with most surgeons not to mention the scalp trauma and a large amount of money from the patient. Something does not sound right about this post in my honest opinion.
  3. Hair replacement transplant | Hair restoration surgery | Hair loss doctors Chris. Click on the blue header above. This page is the International Hair restoration surgeons home page. All of these surgeons are hair transplant specialists. I would recommend you use them. 900 or so Hair surgeons across the world. Just send the ones you choose (and choose a few if you can to send to) a standard e mail with photo attachments of front, back, top and sides of your head and what you hope to achieve with surgery and they will give you feedback and prices if you ask.
  4. I think once you have done all your research and you have decided that the only option is HT surgery then you really have to just throw yourself into it with your heart and soul and make sure that you have all the facts about aftercare, nutrition and that is it. I am sitting here writing after my first day of 1000 FUE grafts that yielded 2582 hairs in the front of my head. Tomorrow I have another 1000 hairs transplanted from the sides to go to the back of the crown area. I will be posting pics in about a weeks time so I wish you well on your surgery Spanker. Oh by the way. I can recommend Mastic Gum 500mcgs for a sensitive stomach. I think it is easy to get in USA and a natural product. Really calms the stomach. Keep us all posted and we will offer our support on your journey, Shyshiny
  5. Grafts are anchored after about ten days maximum in all patients so the wisdom goes so no way do you have any grafts coming out 7 weeks post op. I can hear your worries though so maybe it would help ease your thoughts if you had a scalp skin checkup or post these pics to your hair surgeon for an opinion. You are seven weeks post op and the healing process is still ongoing so just have a good skin nourishment diet and positive thoughts help. It is good to see you here where we can all support you as you post.
  6. If you value your surgery and hair, give your scalp time to heal. Remember, doing weights will release testosterone and cortisol which is a stress hormone that helps release amino acids that rebuild your muscles but may also rob your body of skin healing nutrition. I would say concentrate on a good nutritional supplement for skin healing and get your Doc. to check the scar before you go into the gym and hit the big weights again. After all, you value your hair and a couple of months nutritional rest doesn`t diminish your muscle sets to much.
  7. Looks very clean Indigo. Just keep doing as Dr Devroye instructs post op. and be positive in thought and healthy in body. I like the pics. Thanks for posting.
  8. Saw Palmetto has allegedly been found effective in blocking male testosterone which speeds up the balding process. You have to be so careful though about popping pills left right and centre because often the side effects or interactions with other bodily functions or medicines you are using can be dangerous. And of course the amount of misinformation on the internet is enormous.
  9. I had FUT strip surgery and had facial swelling for about 2 weeks quite badly afterwards. I definitely would not have gone to work looking like that. It varies from individual to individual. I also think the calmer and less stressed you are before the operation and during transplants the better the chance you have of healing quicker. I can`t actually say anyone noticed because I already had some hair that I could comb over the transplant area (which sadly did not yield an outstanding result or cover my balding patches).
  10. Interesting Question Daksh84. It would be preferable for your HT clinic to advise you as they are the only one who have seen and presumably assessed your hair before surgery. I prefer not to take any hair solutions or medications. That is my personal preference. But if I was advised by an HT Doc that my existing hair was minituarized and going to fall then I think I would have two choices. Medication to retain the hair not transplanted so that I had a good even growth of hair as my transplanted hair grew back or no medication which would see my original hair fading away and a second HT operation to correct this at some point in the future. You are absolutely doing the right thing by researching the medicine though. Better to be educated to the choices you have to make. And, who was your surgeon, what was your procedure and do you have any pics you want to share with us all. Well done on choosing to have your HT.
  11. I would like to know if any of you have experience with either of these two FUE surgeons based in Lisbon, Portugal. Both belong to the IHRS.
  12. Very interesting Indigo. Your procedure and the care taken with you before surgery is a good benchmark for anyone else considering a hair transplant. Keep us all up to date and just be patient with your new hair. That is the hardest part. Well done for choosing a good surgeon.
  13. Great description and set of photos. Thanks for posting. Yes, now we all want to follow you through the next year to see your updates. It sounds like your procedure went very well. Just look after yourself and follow the post op instructions to the letter of your surgeon and of course be patient. Waiting is the hardest part after surgery. But of course you have the support of this excellent forum and all its members to lean on.
  14. As long as the poster purely states the given results of the hair transplant without malice or resentment then there can be no legal recourse to sue for slander or fictitious comments against a company or individual or physician. Our experiences are to be shared in a free and competitive hair transplant market and I applaud this sites protection of its posters.
  15. Thank you Buzz2. I`m staying calm and learning from my mistake and trying to pick a good surgeon for an FUE op soon. Yes I have been trying to communicate with them, and yes I am trying to salvage some kind of refund to go towards hopefully an FUE HT of about 1500 grafts possibly. As yet though the clinic has failed to offer me any further advice or a refund so I have started to post and warn others to be careful when considering Prestige Clinic and Piotr Rataj. My thoughts are mainly towards picking a good FUE surgeon for an FUE op soon. Dr Mwamba in Belgium right now looks good. A consultation and then hopefully a transplant in July of this year. I`ll keep you all posted with pics should I manage to get the green light for a second attempt at hair growing glory.
  16. I am presently 9 months post op from 3000 FUT with Piotr Rataj of Prestige Clinic, Wroclaw, Poland. I have no visible growth and have deemed the hair transplant to be unsuccesful to date. I had no underlying pre-existing physical conditions (two years of extensive blood tests, MRI scans and medical consultations) and I am taking no medicines or hair loss medicines. The surgeon is in fact a accomplished plastic surgeon but has no extensive portfolio of hair op patients to his name as far as I could find out. I only had a small window of opportunity to have the FUT and this guy got back to me quickest. Add to that the vulnerability of most hair loss patients and a good price thrown in and I ended up on Piotr Ratajs operating table. Customer care immediately after my op was non existant and no hair care info pack or nurses checked on me for the four hours after my op. before I was picked up and taken back to my apartment. I must therefore advise anyone who contacts this clinic (who are advertising FUT) to be very thorough in there questioning and research of this surgeon. I share this experience without malice or resentement towards Piotr Rataj and my experience is based purely upon my FUT results whilst at Prestige Clinic, Wroclaw, Poland. Two pics. First is September 2011, second one is June 2012.
  17. Hello, I am considering FUE with Cevre. They have very competitive pricing and they present an extremely well presented sales pitch for there service. I want to know anyones experience of this hospital and the results. Thanks.
  18. Hello. I too have a very good quote from Cevre in Istanbul for FUE. Many good reviews also. I want to know who has had surgery there, the surgeon and the results.
  19. UNHAPPY. 3000 FUT Piotr Rataj, Prestige Clinic, Wroclaw, Poland. Very poor (possibly none) growth 9 months post surgery with appalling customer service.
  20. I agree widescar. Patients are seduced by price and desperation for a result by surgeons who may be well qualified in certain areas of cosmetic surgery but not in hair transplants. They have license to practise on the likes of people like yourself but it takes years of experience and patients to become an accomplished hair surgeon. Any good surgeon will take time to consult you full in person and provide you with a plan of the operation before proceeding. If they fail to do that at the consultation stage do not progress any further as this is purely bad practise or inexperience on the surgeons part. It is beginning to dawn on me that Piotr Rataj of Prestige Clinic, Wroclaw, Poland who performed 3000 FUT surgery upon me in September 2011 may have been inexperienced in performing FUT as he did not provide any of these detailed consultations before my surgery. I have posted four pictures for others to view and share my pre and post op hair pictures up to now, 9 months post op. Sadly Prestige Clinic are being very slow to advise or offer an explanation with regards to my poor results. Only after surgery and no hair growth do customers realize there mistakes.
  21. Piotr Rataj, Prestige Clinic Wroclaw, Poland. Surgeon 3000 FUT procedure in September 2011.
