I suggest you contact your surgeon before the operation and ask him or her to prepare a written e-mail of before and after hair care for your operation. I can tell you that FUE is a very non invasive procedure and you will be comfortable throughout the operation. All surgeons will tell you to avoid strong sun on your scalp after the operation and don`t get your scalp sun burnt before the FUE. Which doctor and clinic did you choose?

Good to hear you were well looked after. For your benefit and all the readers here we would really like to see pictures, monthly if you like, of your progress. There are a lot of UK HT curious men who look to our experiences (I`ve had an FUT and and FUE) and pictures add real meaning to your words. Anyway, is good to see you posting here. And be patient and look after your newly transplanted hair as I am sure you will.

Do you have any new observations you can share with us at the five month mark? One American hair surgeon said that his patients mostly saw significant growth at the six month mark so please just keep yourself as stress free and healthy as possible and would be good to hear from you. People need guidance from post op patients on here so your account has real value.

Yes, well done on a successful FUE. Could you share your hair growth experience month by month for that year and allow us all an insight into when your new hair started to really show.

Very interesting. I too have had a second HT. The first was strip the second was FUE. About 4 months in now on the second HT which harvested 5000 hairs. What did Dr pong advise as a scalp moisturizer? I was given saline spray for the first week. Since then I use pure shea butter to scalp moisturize before bedtime as I live in a very dry central heated house. Have to post some pics myself soon. I have to say I did not enjoy the strip HT process at all but the surgeon in my opinion was bogus (plastic surgeon not hair surgeon). Second procedure I had in Lisbon and the Brazilian HT ladies were sweet as could be (looks as well) and they were IHRS registered. Good that you researched and let me know how you feel.

Hello Tammy. Just had a look at your pictures. Like to ask how you feel about the HT progress after 6 months. I`m about 4 months in on my second FUE of 5000 hairs (that was the hair count after they had removed the follicles.)

I can recommend these two ladies for there excellent attention to detail before during and after FUE surgery. They are in Lisbon. They both belong to the International hair restoration society and I have just had a 2000 (4984 hairs counted from the 2000 extracted hairs) graft FUE hair transplant 2 weeks to the day. I am English and my history is one very poor FUT strip 11 months previously that failed to give a good result and I am A1 excellent physical health. Just e mail them with pictures of top, side, back, front of head and what you want done with prices and they have an excellent administrator who will answer your questions.

I agree widescar. Patients are seduced by price and desperation for a result by surgeons who may be well qualified in certain areas of cosmetic surgery but not in hair transplants. They have license to practise on the likes of people like yourself but it takes years of experience and patients to become an accomplished hair surgeon. Any good surgeon will take time to consult you full in person and provide you with a plan of the operation before proceeding. If they fail to do that at the consultation stage do not progress any further as this is purely bad practise or inexperience on the surgeons part. It is beginning to dawn on me that Piotr Rataj of Prestige Clinic, Wroclaw, Poland who performed 3000 FUT surgery upon me in September 2011 may have been inexperienced in performing FUT as he did not provide any of these detailed consultations before my surgery. I have posted four pictures for others to view and share my pre and post op hair pictures up to now, 9 months post op. Sadly Prestige Clinic are being very slow to advise or offer an explanation with regards to my poor results. Only after surgery and no hair growth do customers realize there mistakes.
