  1. All, It has been 7 months post op since the HT. I have been using Dermatch quite frequently to hide seeing into my hair when going to work, gym or out in public during the hair growth process. The HT doctor explained trying not to use it when not necessary and not to leave it in too long. The reality of it is that it is pretty convenient leaving it in for a day or two when using my hair product as it is a PITA to wash out and re do each day or every few days. I wanted to get input from you guys if you have been doing the same thing and if anyone knows if it may impede the hair growth process. It has been a life saver so far and I'm trying to figure out if the transplanted hairs will still grow at full potential. Thank you, Jayson jayson.landen30@gmail.com
  2. Could anyone advise about if the procedure does not take (ie. the transplanted hair does not stay in and falls out anyway) for certain individuals? Can someone explain the shock loss effect? The transplanted hairs are placed around the current growing hairs. Now, will those current growing hairs in the recipient region, will they fall out? Do they grow back, etc?
  3. Thank you! Does anyone know the difference between FUE and Follicular Unit Micrografting? Of the Doctors in the NY area, Robert True, Alan Feller, Jeffrey Epstein, who would you recommend?
  4. I've received various price ranges on strip vs. FUE. FUE is definitely the way I want to go in case I ever want to wear my hair shorter. Could anyone advise on what the typical prices would be for FUE? I've received estimates. I'm looking at 2000 in 2 HT's when it is all said and done. So, it is going to be a bit costly. How about instrumentation used, do you suggest leaving it up to the Doctor (ie. type of tool used, the .5/.7/.9/1.1mm gauge. Do all doctors use blades vs. needles now? I saw a youtube demonstration on needles vs. blades and blades appear to be less invasive in terms of diameter damage to the tissue.
  5. Guys, I am seriously considering a HT surgery very soon. I'm a bit nervous to pull the trigger. My loss is not terrible but i'm losing in the temple and the back crown area. I want to restore my hair the way I used to have it. I have consulted with a Dr. in NYC to do the FUE method. I want to keep it discrete and be able to go back to work asap. Can anyone make any suggestions or recommend the best Doctor in the NYC area? The results from his site look amazing and natural. Is this something I could too expect? I am running low on options. Thank you!
