  1. Shouldn't you wait for your results before raving because you got picked up at the airport? Posts like that make me think of paid shills (I'm not saying that's what you are). I note that you didn't provide any pictures either.
  2. It all depends on the number of grafts you'll get and who's your surgeon. If you can get 5000+ and your surgeon is one of the top professionals, there's no question that your appearance will improve drastically. It all depends on your expectations. I just wanted to kill the bald look and I wasn't expecting density as if I were 16 again.
  3. If you live in Toronto, why didn't you go with Dr. Rahal?
  4. Distance shouldn't be factor. Don't hesitate to travel. Some of the best HT doctors are in Canada.
  5. You deserve a compassionate doctor who understands your situation and doesn't only deal with fat cats and money-bags.
  6. I suffered a bit of shock loss in the already transplanted area following a second procedure. How common is that? The shock loss concerns transplanted hair. It's not a major loss but there's some thinning in that area. I know that shock loss of non-transplanted hair might grow back or might not. I take it there's more certainty that transplanted hair will grow back.
  7. David, let me ask you a question, do you think it's fair to ask Dr. Rahal for your deposit back because of your cancellation? I'm just amazed that you think you were wronged in this instance and can express doubt about Dr. Rahal's ethics. This entire thread is a waste of time on your part. You screwed up.
  8. Calling Dr. Rahal unethical was completely out of line but it's very hard for people to admit to themselves that they screwed up and are entirely to blame, so they lash out at others in anger. I've dealt with Dr. Rahal as a patient and he's the most ethical person I've met.
  9. Why can't one use Minoxidil the day before surgery?
  10. The grafts are secure only after 9 days according to scientific literature. If you touch them, etc. before 9 days you risk losing grafts.
  11. Here's the key: according to scientific literature, the grafts are secure after 9 days, let's say 10 days to be extra cautious. You may pretty much do as you please after two weeks. The protocol might say don't exercise for 3 months - a ridiculous and unnecessary length of time - but I was back on tennis courts after about three weeks. Maybe it'll affect my scar or maybe not. I can't possibly be expected to do nothing for three months. I've consulted enough reputable HT doctors' protocols to know that normally you may begin physical activity: running, etc. after 2 weeks. The protocols are a general guideline and they aren't Gospel Truth. There's too much variety among top doctors. By the way, Dr. Rahal told me that I should wait at least three weeks before resuming playing tennis. But no offence, in this instance you were careless and have only yourself to blame. Dr. Rahal is very ethical.
  12. I'm a Norwood 6 and had two procedures with Dr. Rahal. I wanted to kill the bald look. I knew that I won't get a full head of hair. If you have 5000 + grafts in your donor area, I think that having a HT makes a lot of sense. It's the difference between being completely bald and having hair. The difference in your appearance can be quite significant. Additionally, if you let your hair grow, they will cover the crown area. I think it was worth it for me. But you need at least 5000 grafts to really make it worth your while.
  13. No offense intended, but I'd argue with your results. They look rather pluggy and low density. I'd say sub par.
  14. My understanding is that strenuous activity affects the width of the scar and not grafts.
  15. Every day I thank God that I went with Dr. Rahal and not PAI. I actually gave them a deposit but I also continued to do my research.
  16. I've had two procedures with Dr. Rahal. 1.) he's in the top five surgeons in the world; 2.) he doesn't gouge people. In other words, he believes that the middle classes should also have access to this life-altering procedure. What more can a patient want?
  17. " I have alot of experience seeing FUE results from many clinics in Europe since I assist Italians. But I will keep my thoughts on that to myself." If one reads between the lines, you're basically saying that FUE results you see are, in general, crappy. Yes?
  18. The best possible advice you'll ever get: stay away from hair mills for the love of God!
  19. Who said: there's a a sucker born every minute?
