  1. Stay away from hair mills. The best doctors work as solo practitioners.
  2. I already had a FUT megassession and a scar, so in my case it made sense to do another FUT. Scar5, do you have a source for the10%?
  3. Of course it is, I believe FUE is crap. That's just my opinion. Good luck with your FUE, though.
  4. There's a reason why masters like H&W don't do FUE and crappy guys like Armani do nothing but FUE. That being said, I don't want to imply that one cannot get good results with FUE, I'm just saying that the odds with FUT are better.
  5. The tiny line behind my head IS "practically invisible" (unless you scrutinize my head with a magnifying glass) and I don't shave my head that close anyway.
  6. I'm sorry, if you're results-oriented FUT is still the way to go. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/158557-what-actual-fue-yield-rate-please-3.html
  7. Any top doc will give you a scar that's practically invisible unless somebody analyses your head up close. Dr. Feller who does a lot of FUE puts the number at 75%, if I'm not mistaken. In any case, the failure rate is unacceptably high in my opinion and what you do get in terms of grafts isn't as strong and healthy. In my judgement, FUE is crap. CORRECTION: the 75% doesn't come from Dr. Feller.
  8. I really don't know why anyone who's focused on results would want FUE, when it's more expensive AND results are worse. Is it the fear of pain and longer recover time?
  9. I also briefly considered Dr Sabourin. He's been doing HTs for over a decade but has almost no track record online. Why? This should be a red flag. Notice that he doesn't only do HTs. Another red flag. Do yourself favour: if you live in Montreal talk to Dr. Rahal in Ottawa. He's one of the best and lives only two hours away from you. You can give me a call and I'll tell you about my experience with Dr. Rahal.
  10. He looks 44 going on 64. Having a bit more hair won't help.
  11. Do a search on Armani. There's a consensus on here and elsewhere in cyberspace that he's a shady character who does lousy transplants, gouges people, and has no ethics whatsoever.
  12. How long should I wait in your estimation? I had FUT.
  13. I spoke to Dr. Rahal a few days ago about taking out the stitches earlier than 2 weeks. He says that 2 weeks is the optimal timeframe if one wants to have minimum scarring. He has tried 7 days and 10 days in the past and his experience dictates 14 days for best results. So there you have it.
  14. Dr. Rahal consistently produces good results and has high ethics. I know this first-hand, since I'm one of his patients.
  15. Generalizations have exceptions, but this doesn't make generalizations invalid. Wicked generalizations serve a useful purpose, as any midnight stroll through the ghetto will help one understand.
  16. The "ten doctors" was a figure of speech. I stand by my assessment that HT is a sleazy, unregulated business.
  17. I think only about ten doctors in the world produce consistently good results and have ethics. Overall, it's still an unregulated, sleazy business populated by butchers and crooks.
  18. Dr Rahal removes them after 14 days which seems too long.
  19. BEWARE OF HAIR TRANSPLANT CROOKS AND QUACKS: Hair Transplantation is the most corrupt and sleaziest medical specialty of all time. Beware of Hair Tranplant Crooks
  20. My face gets bloated with Minoxidil and I don't think of using it his time after my HT. Question: will the end result be the same except that it will take longer to achieve it? Is the benefit quicker growth, etc. but after 15 months post-op it makes no difference whether you used it or not?
  21. I just had another FUT with Dr. Rahal. The post-operation care is excellent. I feel very fortunate to live only a few minutes away from one of the best HT surgeons in the world. Additionally, Dr. Rahal's business ethics are impeccable. When I think I almost went to the PAI hair mill...folks do your research and educate yourselves!
