  1. Hey Capelli, Well done on the Op. I look forward to seeing the post op pics.
  2. I am not a fan of the widow's peak. I prefer Dr Rahal's rounded hairlines.
  3. - mature hairline that is sustainable - hairline that can gel up or lie flat I'd say that is a home run
  4. Trapps99, - How did the work look? Can you post photos in a new thread so we can observe / provide feedback - Is it possible they were just concentrating on doing a good job? - What day of the week was your surgery (in case we want to avoid same day)
  5. 7mm wide scar is quite large. A scar revision, whilst adding a few more grafts at the same time might do the trick.
  6. Or if you want someone local, send Feriduni an email. (Belgium). I love that guys work.
  7. Dr Rahal (Canada) does 3,500 FUT for around $14,690 CAD, which equates to 9,200 Pounds. Add in 1,500 for airfaire plus 700 for accomodation and you are still miles ahead.
  8. Cheers guys ... Not really expecting "expert" answers here, just wanting some personal preferences from people who have had HT experiences as to what they found good & bad about their approach. I was quoted 3,500 grafts as I said I wanted the front 1/3 reconstructed. I will also need some midscalp thickening up at a later date. My personal preference is to break it up into 3 x 2,000 instalments. If this is a dumb approach, I'd be happy to hear why. I'm not a fan of cutting high up behind the ear. Is there a reason why they do this. Is there a risk of scars stretching if you take a thicker slice of 20cm x 1.5cm Vs a longer slice of 35cm x 1cm.
  9. hey hadenuf, nice hairline tweak. I think it is going to look really nice. Did Dr Rahal indicate how many FUE grafts you had avail for future use?
  10. louispoker1, If you are not balding/thinning (and you are only 20) then perhaps you could wait a few years and see how things develop ...
  11. $10 is fine if it is a small job, say 200 grafts (postage stamp jobs). There has to be a minimum fee in there somewhere to cover the malpractice insurance, and the opportunity cost of missing out on a larger job. However above 1,000 grafts you'd expect it to be on a sliding scale. I've had FUE quotes ranging from $8.75 (1,000 grafts) down to $6 for the larger jobs (for grafts above 2,000).
