  1. Irishsailor,Newhairplease; &Dr. Glenn Charles thanks for your replies.I know the old scar will be removed with the next surgery,I was just thinking if the old scar stretches because of these exercises it can reduce the number of grafts of the new donor strip due bigger scar tissue.. Travis; watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0yZ8CuiiGY
  2. I've been doing scalp laxity exercises for the past few of months in preparation for my next HT (around 20 minutes a day, some days less),and I feel my scalp laxity has improved, but I also feel discomfort on my previous scar area on the days that I do the exercises for 20 minutes. this is a 3 years old scar and I remember it took longer than usual to heal and I felt discomfort in the area for a long time after the surgery.(my old transplant was performed by a poor clinic). I also think (not sure) that my scar might have been slightly stretched as a result of these exercises,it is around 4mm now,is this possible? and if yes what can be done to loosen the scalp without risking the old scar to stretch? also I've noticed since I've started the exercises some pimples appear on/near the old scar which are uncomfortable but usually disappear after few days, all these issues makes me wonder if these exercises are completely safe to do for 20-30 minutes a day?
  3. if I were you I would laser or wax or just use hair removal products on my legs.. body hair is not sexy. specially when you are young..
  4. based on my research both are world class, many believe Bisanga is the best FUE surgeon in the world.while for strip I think Bijan Feridouni is better than Christian Bisanga. for a FUE transplant I personally believe Bisanga is "special" and better and probably the best in the world.
  5. I really don't think he is using any (at least conventional) concealers, think about it,being a professional footballer, apart from major sweating his head will constantly get touched by the football, and even other players body, that will definitely wipe some of consealers off.there is no doubt about it. and add to that professional hd cameras zooming on his face.. do you really think he will put himself in such awkward situation even if there is minimal risk?why would he do that? he could just have that thin look in the field and blame it on sweating, etc and look dense in magazines, interviews etc until his hairs fully grow.after all he was looking so bald all these years, surely he could cope with it for another year? how his transplant hairs look so great so soon remains a mystery.
  6. ukpatient, I'm not a medical expert but based on the information I found on various hairloss websites,it takes longer than 2 weeks for negative effects to appear. I panicked too when it happened to me but I did not notice any increase in shedding during the time I was out of finasteride.so I assume you'll be fine in just 10 days.
  7. I agree with mars,10 days maybe even 2 weeks is not a big deal. it happened to me few months ago,and I was without finasteride for around 15-16 days.didn't have any problems.
  8. I agree, unless another follow up was planned,I find this transplant pointless. density is very low and the work looks incomplete.I wouldn't be happy at all. just my opinion..
  9. interesting, because I've also noticed unusual acnes on both sides of my head above sideburns (where I never lost hair).and I never had acnes in those parts before. I started taking Bioting 5mg around 3 months ago. I cant detect any improvement on my hair maybe hair looks healthier but I'm not sure..but my nails are stronger and grow faster than before.
  10. apparently they don't sell dutasteride? where can I buy legit dutasteride in the uk?
  11. he does not have a clinic in the UK,his clinics in Brussels,Belgium which is very close to the UK.and I've been told by his UK advisor than he will be in the UK for consultation in February 2012.which I am going to attend.
  12. if I were you I'd immediately cancel my appointment.there are some of the worst HT doctors in the UK and also in Europe excluding Belgium which has 2 excellent doctors.doing a HT requires alot of research and choosing the best possible doctor.
  13. sorry but this looks like 500-600 grafts in the hairline only.
  14. I've been taking Finasteride 1MG daily for the past 10 years (this includes 1/4 proscar for first 2-3 years, and 1 year of real Propecia),I feel that hairloss on my top/crown area is progressing,I've read some HT doctors recommend upping the dose of Finasteride in some long term users, and was thinking about taking 1.5 MG or 2MG daily instead of 1 MG. anyone has any advice in this regard?? I am also thinking about possibly switching to Dutasteride but "Avodart" brand is very expensive and cheaper generic brands like "Duprost" and "Dutas" appear to be poor in quality & effectiveness for some reason (based on various patient experiences I read on web) therefore I'm not too sure about Dutasteride. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS : I've post the tread in the wrong section, moderators please move it to the hair loss drugs section.thanks.
  15. I would avoid HT in UK. Belgium has 2 great doctors.and is very close to UK.
  16. mattj, does Dr Rahal have any plans to visit UK in near future? I know he came to UK for consultation in May but I missed that one unfortunately.
  17. amazing result. I think this community benefits from more videos & photos from Dr.Rahal's results. he seems to be the best HT doctor at the moment.
  18. sorry but this is very poor result for 2000 grafts placed in the hairline, even if the hairline area was completely bald.a repair is required.
  19. can't decide, looking at the first before picture and then to the last 3 pictures you posted..wow what a transformation. your transplant is a success even at 9 months, and your hair is going to get thicker and denser in the next 6 months.how does your hair stand against wind?
  20. Can't decide, your result is impressive, but can you possibly post some higher quality pictures with better lighting with a real camera not cell phone from different angels?
