Pretty sure I saw somewhere on my paper work that it says 90%+ will grow from Dr Path. Also is the Australian clinic NHI in Melbourne? Personally if a clinic failed to produce 90%+ or significant growth deemed reasonable I wouldn't return to them in the first place. Seems very assuring to have that guarantee but if they did a poor job the first time round, why bother even going back? Just some food for thought. Dr Path does a great job and will give you advice if you are not a good candidate for a HT or have unrealistic expectations of spreading the grafts too far apart etc so then you won't have any nasty surprises.

I was about to ask the same question. I started using minoxidil post op 9 days or so. So it doesn't do any harm to use it on the transplanted area around that time does it? Could either do good or nothing but not bad right? Thanks.

As others have stated above, Dr Path and his team are highly recommended. There is a 3 month wait on bookings take or give so take that into consideration aswell. Managed to upload some pictures. Outside DHT Clinic: Dr Path's Golden hair folicle award: Pre-op pictures. DS Labs Spectral DNC-L 5% Minoxidil for about 5 months+ (other non medicated lotions prior) and 1mg Propecia for 2.5 months. It definately made a difference as it halted further hair loss and lost hair was coming back but not at a rate deemed sufficient. After shot:

Thanks guys. Rod, I had the baseball cap undone at the back and just sitting on the headband so you can imagine how funny I looked. My fianc? managed to find me a black sushi chef looking bandana so I am wearing that right now. I am just staying inside shopping centres for the rest of the time here. Will have to wait till next time before I can explore Thailand. Had no swelling what so ever so the Dr removed the head band . The stitching is incredibly neat also!!!

Hi all, I just had 3876 grafts by Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich yesterday and everything seems good so far. I am yet to setup my blog as I am on an iPhone and haven't got the pictures from Dr Path yet. Dr Path and his team are very professional and the good doctor even gives you a call on the night to check up on how you are doing. Going to get the stitches removed next Monday before I take a flight home. Couldn't be happier so far as the good doctor managed to get close to the 4000 grafts I was after. Breakdown of the grafts as follows. 1 hair - 394 2 hair - 2494 3 hair - 888 4 hair - 100 Total 8446 hairs. Surprised I had so many 3 and 4 hair grafts as I am of Chinese background. I was able to get full coverage front to back (I am a Norwood VA). Dr Path even woke me up to say he has enough grafts left over to lower the hairline I originally wanted aswell. Will create my blog when I have proper Internet connection. Also a tip to anyone with a big head like me. Go get a bandana and not a cap as the cap did not fit over my big head and I looked very weird ;-)

I have used the normal Spectral DNC and it actually gave some noticeable results compared to the non minox products I was using before hand. Started to use the Spectral L which is the mustard paste one. It is alot more messy to apply and leaves your head with a yellowish mark so I only apply it once a day couple hours before bed. I find it like the normal one but even more so, makes your hair very stiff and I don't dare comb through it whilst it is still semi dry as it seems like hairs may get ripped out. But the stiffness from it actually feels very good when running your fingers through the growing hairs as it adds alot of volume to it.

Hi mate, I am from Australia aswell and I have booked with Dr Path in February. I sure hope he can do a mega session for me as a clinic here in Australia is only able to do 2500 grafts for me. I am in need of 3500-4000 which Dr P said he is confident in doing close to. Are you staying until the stitches are removed?

Hi Rod and wb280, I actually locked in a date with Dr P in Mid February and he hopes to get close to 4000 grafts done. At this stage I am being realistic about it and hoping for 3000, but Dr .P said if I keep doing the scalp massages it will make a huge difference. Rod, so you were fine to get up and about on the 3rd day? I am planning to stay in the hotel for the first 2 days (except for returning to the clinic for shampoo and cleaning) and then 3rd day start to go out and explore Bangkok a little. I also plan on staying until the stitches are removed aswell. I started using 5% monoxidil 3 months ago with results already and just started going on propecia yesterday. I am not too worried about the scar as I would never have a short enough haircut to make it visible. Rod, how did you go about paying? Since I am unsure about how many grafts I am able to get until the consultation in Bangkok I am thinking of doing a wire transfer prior to leaving for 3000 grafts. If Dr P can do more then I will just pay him the outstanding in cash on the day. Also sent you a PM mate. Cheers guys.

Hi Rod, Thanks for the reply. As a matter of fact I contacted the DHT clinic just today and they said to send them an email with some pictures. Can you walk me through the process you went though? 1) Costs 2) Did you just simply email them photo's and no prior in person consultation? 3) How long of a waiting period is there? The receptionist's english wasn't the best but I made it out to be around 1-2 months wait for a free appointment. 4) Did you stay there until they removed the stitches? If you can help out with those questions it would be a fantastic help as I have seen great reviews with the DHT clinic and am seriously considering flying over as it may be cheaper or about the same price with the exception I can have a holiday and quality of work is assured. Hi all, I am new here and looking to get a HT. I have gotten a consultation from New Hair Institute in Australia here and can get about 2700 grafts. I know New Hair Institute in Melbourne has had bad reviews in the past, mainly posts back in 2003 and with regards to inconsistent HT procedures carried out by Dr Barry White. But it seems like Dr. Rhett Bosnich now performs the HT there so I am wondering if there is any new feedback on them? Would very much appreciate anyone who has had HT's by Dr. Rhett Bosnich @ NHI give some feedback to me as I am considering getting a HT done with them very soon. But since reading about their bad reviews in the past from 7 years ago I am very hesitant at the moment. Thanks!!!!
