  1. i started minox abt 3 wks ago but i am not experiencing any shedding (yet). i read that shedding actually meant that the drugs is working for you.....however, does not means that if i never go thru any shedding, the drugs is not working for me?
  2. Hi NK Dr Mohmand is standing behind his work... y not go to him for a review??
  3. i will prefer going to a HT clinic which specializes in doing only HT rather and an aesthetic clinic which provides so many cosmetic procedures
  4. i m in similar situation as you. i m on propecia and a little worried abt starting on minoxidil as i m concerned abt the shedding phrase. what worries me is that those shed hairs do not grow back.
  5. Not true, my colleague hairloss became obvious in his 40s, n he is gg towards nw 6 now.
  6. i believe most of us have this bad habit.... after our HT, when the stubble start coming out, we have this habit of keep touching the stubble. i does that quite often. does this constant touching of the stubble affect any growth? And also, does constant finger brushing of our existing hair causes more hairloss?
  7. hi multipler i m 6.5 mths post ops n most of my shock loss not returning yet... i will be glad if my shock loss do return back after 1 yr. read your other post n i felt that u have the same kind of concerns as me before our next HT i.e. permanent shockloss
  8. hi sledgehammer i am looking forward to see ur updates... all the best to ur HT!!! and enjoy ur holidays in thailand!!
  9. othersyde ur 2 day post ops pics really looks great!!! looks undetectable that u gone thru an HT just 2 days earlier. btw., got any pics of the donor area?
  10. hi wb280 no problems... i am just curious abt their so claim tech in china if i were to go for another HT, definitely i will choose a doc recommended on this website. once bitten, twice shy... moreover, i am bitten twice.... so i should be thrice shy.
  11. i had gone thru shock loss in the recipient area and at this point (6mths post ops) and i am still hoping it is not permanent. however i am wondering whether HT doctors are able to estimate the extend of permanent shock loss at the recipient area during the consultation stage before an HT?
  12. hi multipier i too am suffering from shock loss ard my recipent area. its has been 6mths since my transplant and the shocked hair does not seems to be growing back. i am considering another HT but my main concern is any permanent shock loss at the recipent area. This is holding me back... i have scheduled a consultation with Dr Path on Feb... after that, i will probably wait till 1 yr post ops then decides whether to go for the HT.
  13. i am at 6mths post ops... hair still looks thinner than before not too sure isit permanent shock loss of native hair is there still hope that my hair dropped during shock loss to return after 6mths post ops? sorry if u had answer this question many times... cos i m just feeling lousy now when i appeared to have lesser hair than before HT after 6mths post ops.
  14. concealing the donor and recipent area is 1 of my concern for HT... but now i felt that it is definitely not worth compromising the results of the HT just for the few mths of ugly ducklings. wb280 has mentioned to me before... althought there is no documented proof that shaving/not shaving will/ will not compromise on the results, but i will not take the chance if its something that is within our control. who will bother whether we had done any HT (other than ourselves) if our final results are good. non-balding ppl will forget abt ur HT after ur hair grows out. Balding ppl will ask for ur advice when they see u. but to answer ur question... yes, u will be able to hide ur donor scar with 1 inch long of hair after 2 wks of surgery. Infant, u will be able to hide it immediately post ops.
  15. Hi Jot i think ur hairdresser does a good job too!! u apparently skipped the ugly duckling phrase after the first haircut.
  16. what are the possibilities of initial hair shedding caused by minoxidil to drop off and never regrow?
  17. Hi Blake yes... my previous posting was extracted from a HT forum in China posted by a HT patient. not promoting any particular HT clinic.
  18. no problem we are all having the same problem in this place
  19. is gene therapy to stop hairloss or for hair regrowth?
  20. this is posted by another patient who went thru 2 number of not so successful FUT previously for his 3rd HT, he went to the HT hospital in China on 1 apr 2010 for FUE 3000 grafts within 1 day. scroll down to see the pics of immediate post ops. ??FUE3000??|FaaYoo this is the results from 1st to 2nd mth, scroll down to see the pics http://club.faayoo.com/HTML/2010-4/9/18927-2.htm this is the results after 6 mths, scroll down to see the pics ??FUE3000??29?|FaaYoo i am wondering why the scabbing can be so minimum? the works looks very clean too. infact, the forum says that there is no blood stain post ops. is there really such advance technology in HT known as 2nd gen FUE? ps. all the pics are posted by the patient himself.
  21. consult a derm n ask for his advice can start on propecia, monoxidil and nizoral.
  22. 23. hi jimmy good luck for ur HT rodg is right... if Dr Pong can showcase his patients results here, we will feel more assuring i am staying in spore, so i am interested in the quallity of HT docs in Asia
  24. does shaving/ not shaving the recipent area actually affects shock loss or the results of the HT? i m rather concerned abt the ugly duckling phase during HT, but i will rather compromise on this ugly duckling period to achieve a good results.
