  1. MP96, good to see you back on here. How are you liking your results at this point? Do you have any photos to show us ? :-)
  2. Predator, Thank you for the presentation of your results. It really shows what a person can realistically expect. The "good" pictures are amazing. The "ugly" pictures do look a lot more sparse, but it is still a major improvement from where you came from. Your hairline frames your face nicely. Keep us posted on the shedding. I hope that situation improves for you.
  3. Yes, the real question is how many grafts on average are lost doing a tricho closure? Anybody know the answer to this?
  4. Honestly dude it looks like you had about 6000 grafts. I am bewildered by how good your results are. You had so much area to cover and the result looks nice and dense. Congratulations.
  5. It looks awesome. My hairloss pattern is identical to yours. I plan on going to Rahal sometime in the next 2 years. I hope I get a result as good as yours. Congrats!
  6. Latinlotus, There is a definite cosmetic improvement and the result is natural, so that is a good thing. I do think that 2000 grafts in an area that small with your hair characteristics should produce a much thicker result though. Hopefully that will be the case for you in the next 4 months since you still only 8 months along and have more thickening that will occur. Best of luck.
  7. Truly bizarre and utterly baffling.
  8. Can you tell us how many grafts you have used up so far? If you have used 3000 or less, you may have plenty of donor left to give a thinner, but natural look behind the forelock.
  9. There have been some cases of using fue to fill in a strip scar. Body hair has even been used for that. I don't think this has been done enough though to know whether or not it is reliable. Can you post a pic so we can see what your hairloss pattern is like?
  10. Also, it would help if we could see a top down pic.
  11. I like the hairline design a lot and this is an impressive transformation. It looks excellent when cut short, but it is hard to tell how thick your hair is. Do you feel like there was good yield and that if you grew it out, you would have a nice thick result?
  12. Dr. Feller, Your comment about fue not precluding a strip in the future. Can you elaborate on that? How many fue grafts can you harvest before limiting your option of having a strip procedure in the future? This sounds like a great option for people like myself who only need frontal 1/3rd work, but want to keep the door open for strip surgery in the future in the event of future hairloss.
  13. I feel your dilema. I almost did strip, but now I really want to do FUE, but like you want to see a higher volume of consistent results. You may want to have an online consultation with Dr. Bisanga. He does strip and also a lot of FUE. The pictures that they post on other forums seem very honest as far as lighting and the results are really impressive. I am hoping to see more patients post their experiences and pictures with him before I make a decision. Anyhow, one thing they suggest is that if you only need 2000 grafts, you can start out with fue that is extracted in strategic locations and you still leave yourself open to a future strip procedure if you absolutely need more grafts down the road. But...since you are heading toward NW5, you may want to go with strip first and then use fue only after you have been "stripped out". That way you can have the most possible donor grafts available to you.
  14. Atticus, Your unrelenting support and undying loyalty to Dr. Umar no matter what the circumstance are sure to be appreciated by him, but honestly every time I read a comment from you, it is like a big red flag that waves in my face and makes me question whether or not I should consider Dr. Umar. You are doing more harm than good. That being said, I am starting to lean towards going the FUE route rather than strip and Dr. Umar is on my short list of doctors that I am considering. I truly appreciate people like Abedog who are willing to post their experiences with no agenda and help everyone out on this forum. Best of luck to you Abedog.
  15. I have never seen this. My only concern would be how do they adjust for the extraction of different sized hair grafts? Are they extracting the whole graft each time or just one hair out of each graft?
  16. Other than the gap, I think the growth has been decent. If it were not for the empty space would you be happy with the results up to this point?
  17. I had your hairline exactly, I mean exactly the same when I was 20 years old. It stayed the same up until I was 28 and then I noticed it had receded a little bit. I got on propecia at 29 and have maintained everything since then. I would not do anything without getting on propecia. Other than that, I think you are a good candidate for a small session as long as you realize that you may recede further in the next 5 years and need more work. You can look at my profile to see what my hairline looks like now. It has receded back further than where you are at.
  18. It looks really good. The hairline design is great. It really frames your face nicely in the pic where your hair is wet. Could you post some side view pictures with the hair wet and combed back? Also, have you considered putting some gel in your hair and showing the hairline?
  19. There is a huge improvement already when comparing pre-op to now. I would like to see what it looks like when your hair is wet or damp and combed back. Good luck and I hope you will be happy with your end result.
  20. This result looks amazing given how much area was covered with 3250 grafts. You look good with buzzed hair and much younger with the stubble on your head instead of it being slick bald. I wonder if FUE would have been a good option? I guess if you plan on growing your hair out, then strip is fine too. Best of luck. Things look great so far.
  21. Wantego, Looking really good for 3 months! Are you using Rogaine? You seem to have really early growth, which is great.
