October 9th made 4 months... 870 in the hairline... pretty satisfied with the growth so far... no itching, shedding, etc... one question: thinking about getting a 2nd procedure, prob FUE, to bring the sides/temple points forward a little more, as well as possibly refining the hairline. Being from NYC, I hear tons on Feller being a top FUE doc... any suggestions/Comments???

You will probably find very few ethical doctors who will bring your hairline forward at all. Armani is probably your only choice here.

Feller is a good doctor, he would probably try to create a greater density in the hairline you have now, not lower it further.

Good Luck

Mark, thanks for the compliment...

although the hairline is restored, it seems the sides/temples look a lil receded. I read a post by jotronic that said the sides could be just as important as the top. Maybe im just getting a lil hair greedy ... I think ill wait to the 6 month mark and try setting up some online/in person consults

Thanks for the advice guys

who was your original doctor, though? if i remember correctly, it wasn't somebody with a reputation for being very good. as young as you are, i wouldn't go any lower on the hairline. it looks like your overall thinning pattern is quite extensive.

Be patient you look good for only 4 months out you have another 8-10 months of growth and maturing. I would wait at least 14 months post op b4 considering another procedure. I would also try some rogaine I use the foam and it works great for me. Good Luck.

1045 FUT "hairline" with Dr Feller on Nov 05

825 "hairline" with Dr Loria "saw so so results" on Jan 01

MHR 325 "hairline" micro/mini 's 1999 "big mistake"

as others have pointed it out: you might be headed for a norwood 5 for all we know (it looks thinner on top) so you cannot afford to get greedy. Dr Armani will give you what you want know, but you will regret it in less than ten years and wish you could undo it.

I doubt Dr Feller will do it for you. Even if donor is not an issue he will still be reluctant not give you a teenager hairline (it has to match your temple points and does not look natural, especially after 10 years). Dr Armani is probably planning on retiring and going in hiding in a few years, once his patients realize what happened to them.

Looks like you might need a touchup on the existing HT instead...pictures are not that clear but it seems like the doc used larger than normal grafts. Either way, wait a year or so before deciding.

I'll chime in with the rest............I wouldn't bring your hairline down any further, it looks low enough as-is. I don't know your history but how old are you? I'd consult with some top docs and get input...................you could likely have some temple work done and not blow too many grafts but I'd be interested to hear what is said about your loss pattern what would be the best overall course of action for you.

Are you taking propecia, using a quality scalp and hair care regimen or doing anything else for loss prevention? You appear to be pretty young, what's your age? You may want to see how you respond to propecia (and maybe Minox as was mentioned earlier) before having another HT.

Something else to point out, if you're thinning a little on top it may work best to try and avoid the wet-look as it shows the scalp more. I'm not trying to be critical, your thinning doesn't look too bad but I'm guessing if you had a dryer look you may not be able to see any scalp.

the general consensus here seems to be wait it out until AT LEAST one year, possibly more... so i think ill err on the side of caution n listen. im not too sold on armani either (from what i have read).

HEy man...You're hairline looks really good 4 months out considering the amount of grafts you had done and the hairline you started with. If you've grown that much at 4 months...thats a lot better than me...there should be alot more to come from what I hear.

Also,

I do feel you with lowering the hairline. I'm just a tad bit older than you 27 and I would kill for a thick low hairline. I guess thats why we pay the big bucks for this surgery

0.5 mg Avodart daily since 6/19/06

1950 grafts with Dr. Hasson in the front line 6/19/06.
