Hello all. Long long time undercover lurker here, but now it is my time to share and give back to the community that has helped me. I will be quick and to the point and will answer any questions.

Heres my story…

31 y/o Male

2nd HT

First one was at age 26/27 failed obviously

Hairloss HX: None, family all has full head of hair, currently not losing any hair and not taking any meds or vitamins.

It was a very long flight for me. I think around 20-27hrs I can’t even remember to be honest. Everything was super smooth with Eugenix up until the day I arrived. There must of been some confusion with the ride pick up and the time. I ended up waiting around 40 mins or so after landing. Other than that everything was pretty much spot on. The hotel that they provided was very nice, very clean and very professional.

09/19

Surgery day..

i was picked up by Eugenix driver at around 9:30-10am. They were on time and very professional.  We first started off with photography. The patient advocate not sure what her name was but she was amazing. Very professional, funny and very smart. Great English as well. She explained everything very detailed for me and was there every step of the way.

Eventually it was time for the planning and designing phase. That’s when I met Dr.Somesh for the first time, he was very nice and educated. We were both happy with the hairline design As well. He walked me through the entire planning process and how he visualized it to my face. We proceeded to the head shaving at this point.

The actual procedure was pretty long but the team that was assigned to me was great. They were very quick. Dr.Somesh did all of the slits and was very particular about certain points. He knew that my goals were natural and density with a focus in the hairline. I believe we will achieve that in the coming months.

I will attach pictures and continue to document my journey on here as well as other forums. overall, I am pretty happy with how everything went down. Obviously in the coming months we shall see the true results but I am excited and hopeful.

i welcome any questions comments or feedback from design to your opinions of the graft placement and all. For now, enjoy the pictures.

Everything is looking perfect atm👌

Great work by Dr. Somesh .Your new hairline & density given looking fine.

I think both of us has many similarities, a failed procedure previously. bad hairline designing, low density and more. My main plan was also to address the frontal part.

I hope both of receive satisfactory result this time, best wishes.

Attaching a picture below for your better understandings-

Day 7 update

Scabs coming in strong. A little concerned about the gaps I’m starting to see in the frontal side just after the hairline  hopefully that’s part of the process. It looks like there wasn’t even slits made or any grafts put in there  but my post op photos it seemed nicer and full… concerning nonetheless. Can anyone chime in?

Yes, this is a common process after the HT. Nothing to worry.

Hey guys! Officially on 1 month post op! No real shedding as of yet. Haven’t noticed much hair loss even the transplanted hairs are still pretty strong. I’ve been taking Fin 1mg daily. Had sides for the first 2 weeks but they have since subsided for now… here are a few pics of where I stand now. I took the pics super quick but i can take better pics later today.

what do you guys think so far?

I'm excited for your journey. You remind me of my own hair loss. There is some baldness in my family (distant uncles [uncles of my mom] are all bald, but her two brothers and father had full heads of hair. My dad had a full head of hair with only slight recession until his 60's.

That's why when I experienced hair loss I was confused. It turns out I had severe seborrheic dermatitis causing it. There is a ton of dandruff, scales, oily hair, hair loss in patches that I've dealt with throughout my twenties. I'm trying to get that under control now so that I can go to Eugenix in a few months like you.

I'm curious did you ever have seborrheic dermatitis or any skin condition? Or do you just suspect androgenetic alopecia?

Anyway, excited for your 4 and 6 month updates!

Omg dude! This is like the same exact history as mine. My moms dad was bald. My 3 brothers have full head of hair my dad is 65 with a full head of hair as well. My uncles dads side are bald with recession as well.

as far as scalp issues yes! You hit right in the money. All through highschool and up until my mid to late twenties I dealt with dry, oily scalp. Went to a dermatologist and everything. Was using ketaconazole shampoo almost daily.

when I was younger I use to basically rip off all the scabs with a fine tooth comb and irritated the hell out of my scalp. Which is why I felt like I lost hair especially in the hairline area. After changing my diet and not itching or scratching as much it is basically non existent.  It was to the point where sunlight itself would burn my scalp! I can see now years later it’s finally under control but the aftermath resulted in hair loss. I’m excited for my journey I am confident I will have great results! I’m staying positive!

Yes! Keep us updated! I've never seen a hair transplant that wasn't due to androgenetic alopecia. I'm also not going to take finasteride when I do (personal choice) because my hair loss is not related to it. My hair loss (like yours) is the response to scalp inflammation.

I'm surprised that your seborrheic dermatitis went away on its own after only using ketaconozole shampoo for a couple of months. Usually it's a life-long condition. What's more surprising is that your hair transplant did not bring it back, as I've heard that (with hair transplants being trauma to the scalp), people often develop seborrheic dermatitis or it can recur in people that had it before.

So this is all very interesting.

I wasn’t planning on taking it either but I figured I made this investment I might as well! At least for 12 months to see if it really helps or not and if not maybe just slowly get off of it. See what happens. As far as the seboraic dermatitis, I was using a new towel almost everyday after the shower. Changed my pillow covers daily and was very careful of touching my scalp without my hands being clean. I became OCD about it until it eventually got much better. Honestly I barely have any dry scalp issues now and haven’t had it for I’d say the last few years.

I highly doubt my hair loss is genetically but there’s no real way of being 100% which is why I decided to take fin. After my first HT I had no further hair loss and I didn’t take Fin. My hair wasn’t falling off on the regular either but i do believe Fin is worth it for the investment you are making. I will definitely keep everyone posted.

Hey guys! 2 month update! Not seeing much progress yet. Just my hair getting longer. Hopefully I’m on the right track. The waiting game sucks! I do see new growths of the transplanted hairs. I hope I get the density that I’ve wanted!

still taking Fin daily 1mg
