Senior Member HairRun Posted October 4, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted October 4, 2022 Sounds like a smart idea, probably the most populous area of hairs outside of scalp, beard, and chest. Though like chest, I think it grows out for a while, but then stops growing and stays dormant for years?

Senior Member NARMAK Posted October 4, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted October 4, 2022 Personally i think body hair is an interesting thing to use if you run out of the usual back of the head supply, but also for restocking over harvested donors. Just my issue with it, is that people need to realise survival rates are significantly less and they don't grow ideal at all in terms of length. For example, my chest hair, it only grows so long compared to my head hair. Same with the beard, not even mentioning the thickness difference. I think there's a time and place where it can be used effectively in the illusion of coverage but its far and away from ideal. Follow my first Hair Transplant Journey! Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted October 4, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted October 4, 2022 If pubic hair can be transplanted onto the scalp then why not armpit hair 🤣
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted October 4, 2022 Valued Contributor Share Posted October 4, 2022 I know of several surgeons who have trialed arm pit hair. But I'm not aware of any surgeon who actually does it. Beard, chest, leg, pubic (hello!!! 🤩) but not arm pit. It may have to do with sweat glands?
