Looking for Clinics in Turkey (Not HLC)

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a clinic recommendation in Turkey. My original choice was HLC in Ankara and I made a deposit to reserve a spot with them but a last minute hiccup prevents me from being able to go on the date reserved and they told me they have no more open spots for another 4 months (If anyone here has a reservation with them between October 25-Nov 3 , I can trade for Oct22-23 lol)

Now I need a new clinic that’s not a hair mill with good results. The reason I chose HLc is because of the amazing hairline results, so I would like to find something similar.

I wouldn’t choose a clinic based on geography or budget. Research on the best surgeon for your needs and if you can’t afford it then hold off and save up. This is surgery that needs to be planned over the lifespan. All the best.

Unfortunately for me, it has to be in Turkey because of travel restrictions.

Dr. Bicer, Dr. Turan are some good options. Feel free to use our list as a starting point for research.

Thanks, already sent Dr.Bicer an email, still waiting to hear back. Will also contact Dr.Turan and Kesser.

still hoping HLC will make an accommodation for one person lol. They’re booked till end of December and I don’t want to wait that long.

How does Dr.Turans work compare to the results from HLC?

From the results you have seen, do they implant grafts at an angle at the hairline to reduce that see-through look?

this is my second transplant so kind of critical. I’ve seen a few results from Dr.Turan and they look good.

Keep us updated, i'm curious about Dr.Bicer also, about prices etc. , i was planning on going to cosmedica but i've read some terrible things about them for overharvesting.

Dr.Bicers clinic asked for a video consultation, but because of the time differences, the consultation times in my time zone were during hours I have to work or 2am on a Saturday. So that went nowhere. I sent pics to them from every angle as well as hair when wet, not sure why they also needed to do a live consultation over video chat.

I sent all my info + pics + video to a medical consultant at FUECapilar over WhatsApp , they said they would contact me within 7 days. After 7 days I received nothing so I reached out and they have completely ignored me. So ima assume they ghosted me since it’s now been more than 10 days and 3 days since I messaged them for an update.

so I’m back to square one lol.

Don’t take this the wrong way… but dude…

Your can’t wait for 4 months for a cosmetic surgery.  You can’t do a video conference call (just 1 time) because it’s 2am.

You’re counting good clinics out of consideration due to small inconveniences. This isn’t like picking what shoe to wear tomorrow.  It’s a surgery that when done badly will mess with you for life.

People go out of their way to get a good result.  Some people go on 2+ year waiting lists, take 12 hour plane trips, spend fortunes.

Maybe rethink your approach.  Just some food for thought.

I wasn’t told ahead of time that they would do the consultation at 2am. I was already asleep and my phone started going off lol. Same when they called me while at work and asked to do a video conference. I sent all the information needed, pics + history + a video combing through donor. It’s not like I didn’t make an attempt.

I have travel restrictions, and I only have a 2 month window(now) to get the surgery. Something work related came up and needed to reschedule with HLC (scheduled it 5 months in advance)but they said they have no open spots till December.  Its not that I’m unwilling to go in December, it’s that I can’t legally go. I’m not going to lose my job over a hair transplant.

FueCapilar just straight up ghosted me. I sent all the info they asked, waited for a reply, tried to follow up with the medical consultant 3 days ago and 0 responses.

you might want to get to clinics with lower recommendation rating if that's the case, maybe yaman if you're using the recommendation list, since he does quantity.

most newly recommended clinic will get a sudden influx of traffic, FUEcapilar and bicer for example, due to the amount of choice made here, and that if they are recommended, it means the said clinic is starting to use expense for marketing leading to more booking. it's pretty hard to look for non marketed and highly rated clinic though.

most of them either are less renowned, or are famous enough to not care for marketing since they have a queue even without marketing.

I had an online with Bicer and she flat out rejected me as a patient telling me I didn’t need a hair transplant. What she didn’t see was that I had diffused thinning underneath the hair which I could tell because I can physically feel and see. In her eyes it makes sense not to do a hair transplant, however, videos and photos don’t always tell you what’s happening but it’s a good way of measuring instead of doing absolutely nothing until you get there.

Also you say you can’t wait and you need to get this done properly now… but that’s the biggest mistake you can make. Only limiting yourself to one location, trying to avoid the availability, and not looking for other areas because it may be a hassle. It just sounds to me like you shouldn’t pursue any surgical options. If you are limited by minor onetime inconveniences then a life altering procedure may not be in your best interest.

my best advice stop rushing. Scale back your inner sonic and look outside of just turkey, you never know there might be a cancelation with an elite clinic. You just have to ask.

As I said in a earlier reply:

“Unfortunately for me, it has to be in Turkey because of travel restrictions.

because of travel restrictions I have to apply in advance for travel documents to a specific country. Once I get approved, I am allowed to travel to that country up to a certain period of time. In my case that time is up until November 5

I applied for travel documents back in May (currently taking 4 months for approval, and cost $600), at the same time I also was setting up a date for surgery with HLC, initially they told me they had openings in September so I listed in my travel documents to get 2 months starting in September. When I talked to their consultant again, I was told the only dates they had available was end of October, so I booked it and sent my deposit.

A couple of weeks ago I was told I had to travel for a business meeting during that time, which I couldn’t foresee back in May when I planned everything.

So now, HLC has me on a waiting list in case any dates open up from October 26-Nov 3. I am also trying to find a clinic that can schedule me in before my travel document expires (Nov.5).

I'm obviously not going to have the procedure at a hair mill. My thought was that maybe they had cancellations or dates that hadn’t been filled up yet that align with my schedule.

I hope I was clear enough in explaining my situation and why it seems like I’m rushing.

I completely understand what you’re saying. But to be honest it means absolutely nothing. You’re trading off short term for long term. It’s easy to rationalize what’s currently happening by trying to move forward. But in my honest opinion I think you should step back and not rush anything based off the current dilemma.

remember once it is done it is done. Nothing can reverse what surgical remedies you do, whether it’s successful or not. So try to give yourself the best options to explore, even if it takes time and a little more money.

I understand that. If I can’t get a reservation at any of these reputable clinics, then I’m not going to have a choice but try again in the future. I’m not willing to stoop down to the hairmills just to get it done in time lol.

with that said, I’ll end up losing the $600 spent to get those travel docs in the first place, and am going to spend another $600 to apply for another.
