  1. Hi guys, so both me and my brother are traveling to Turkey for a hair transplant and we will both be carrying cash. Probably around 10k each. I read online that family members can only bring 10k total if traveling together. Our connecting flight will be in Germany. Anyone have any experience with this? Do I have to declare in U.S. and then again in Germany? What constitutes as family?
  2. Thanks for all the replies, got a high crown hat and a bucket hat.
  3. What type of hat did you guys wear traveling back after your transplant?
  4. Have already contacted most of them except for Dr.Yamamoto and Demisroy
  5. I don’t currently have anything scheduled, so I’ll wait lol.
  6. Sent them all my info last Sunday for consultation, still waiting on a reply.
  7. I understand that. If I can’t get a reservation at any of these reputable clinics, then I’m not going to have a choice but try again in the future. I’m not willing to stoop down to the hairmills just to get it done in time lol. with that said, I’ll end up losing the $600 spent to get those travel docs in the first place, and am going to spend another $600 to apply for another.
  8. As I said in a earlier reply: “Unfortunately for me, it has to be in Turkey because of travel restrictions. “ because of travel restrictions I have to apply in advance for travel documents to a specific country. Once I get approved, I am allowed to travel to that country up to a certain period of time. In my case that time is up until November 5 I applied for travel documents back in May (currently taking 4 months for approval, and cost $600), at the same time I also was setting up a date for surgery with HLC, initially they told me they had openings in September so I listed in my travel documents to get 2 months starting in September. When I talked to their consultant again, I was told the only dates they had available was end of October, so I booked it and sent my deposit. A couple of weeks ago I was told I had to travel for a business meeting during that time, which I couldn’t foresee back in May when I planned everything. So now, HLC has me on a waiting list in case any dates open up from October 26-Nov 3. I am also trying to find a clinic that can schedule me in before my travel document expires (Nov.5). I'm obviously not going to have the procedure at a hair mill. My thought was that maybe they had cancellations or dates that hadn’t been filled up yet that align with my schedule. I hope I was clear enough in explaining my situation and why it seems like I’m rushing.
  9. FUECapilar has a 6 month wait so going to try looking for a different clinic.
  10. The consultant from FUECapilar got back to me, now I just have to decide between Dr.Gur and Dr.Turan.
  11. I wasn’t told ahead of time that they would do the consultation at 2am. I was already asleep and my phone started going off lol. Same when they called me while at work and asked to do a video conference. I sent all the information needed, pics + history + a video combing through donor. It’s not like I didn’t make an attempt. I have travel restrictions, and I only have a 2 month window(now) to get the surgery. Something work related came up and needed to reschedule with HLC (scheduled it 5 months in advance)but they said they have no open spots till December. Its not that I’m unwilling to go in December, it’s that I can’t legally go. I’m not going to lose my job over a hair transplant. FueCapilar just straight up ghosted me. I sent all the info they asked, waited for a reply, tried to follow up with the medical consultant 3 days ago and 0 responses.
  12. Dr.Bicers clinic asked for a video consultation, but because of the time differences, the consultation times in my time zone were during hours I have to work or 2am on a Saturday. So that went nowhere. I sent pics to them from every angle as well as hair when wet, not sure why they also needed to do a live consultation over video chat. I sent all my info + pics + video to a medical consultant at FUECapilar over WhatsApp , they said they would contact me within 7 days. After 7 days I received nothing so I reached out and they have completely ignored me. So ima assume they ghosted me since it’s now been more than 10 days and 3 days since I messaged them for an update. so I’m back to square one lol.
  13. Sent info to FUEcapilar, still waiting to hear back. Sent info to Dr.Bicer, have an online consultation with her in the next few days.
  14. How does Dr.Turans work compare to the results from HLC? From the results you have seen, do they implant grafts at an angle at the hairline to reduce that see-through look? this is my second transplant so kind of critical. I’ve seen a few results from Dr.Turan and they look good.
  15. Thanks, already sent Dr.Bicer an email, still waiting to hear back. Will also contact Dr.Turan and Kesser. still hoping HLC will make an accommodation for one person lol. They’re booked till end of December and I don’t want to wait that long.
  16. Not just hairline work, they just do a good job on the hairline.
  17. Unfortunately for me, it has to be in Turkey because of travel restrictions.
  18. As the title suggests, I’m looking for a clinic recommendation in Turkey. My original choice was HLC in Ankara and I made a deposit to reserve a spot with them but a last minute hiccup prevents me from being able to go on the date reserved and they told me they have no more open spots for another 4 months (If anyone here has a reservation with them between October 25-Nov 3 , I can trade for Oct22-23 lol) Now I need a new clinic that’s not a hair mill with good results. The reason I chose HLc is because of the amazing hairline results, so I would like to find something similar.
  19. No sexual side effects, even at 2.5mg daily. I had groin pains.
  20. I started to get side effects with higher dosages of Finastride, so I knocked it down to 1.25 every other day. Not sure if those side effects would come back if I move to Dutasteride.
  21. Well, I have the money to pay 20k+ on a transplant, but I don’t think the results are worth double the cost. In fact, some of the results I have seen from these clinics in Turkey are better than the results I have seen from more expensive and reputable clinics. The problem I am seeing with these Turkish clinics is that they are hit or miss. For instance I have seen some amazing results from HLC and some horrendous ones.
  22. I’ve been on Finastride for 9 years and topical Minoxidil for the same. Added pic of donor area (hair grown out) and recipient area. I’m 31yo
  23. I had a FUT in the U.S back in 2016, 3200 grafts at a leading clinic. My hair loss has progressed and decided to get another transplant to add more density to the front scalp and vertex. I’m wanting to get another 3200-3600 grafts(or whatever is recommended). Because I’ve already had a transplant and getting a FUE is going to deplete my donor further, I am doing extensive research on clinics/surgeons that are safe, particularly in Turkey. I’ve decided to get it in Turkey because of the lower cost, I was quoted nearly 20k (for FUT) in the US and about 10k in Turkey from HLC-FUE. I recently saw someone on here post a negative review about HLC having botched their transplant and was wondering if you would still consider them a good choice or if you have a better recommendation in Turkey.
