Regular Member Cb2794 Posted June 24, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted June 24, 2022 (edited) Hi all, I recently had my first HT with Dr Gür with the aim of restoring my hairline. In 2-3 years I plan to revisit the idea of adding density and to the mid scalp/crown area. From the in person inspection Dr Gür said I probably have 5500-6000 grafts available. I take finasteride tablets 1mg daily and use a minoxidil spray too. Ahmet from Fuecapilar was very responsive via WhatsApp and did a great job answering any questions pre surgery, and was there on the day to pick me up from the hotel which was a 2 minute walk from the clinic. The clinic was very well presented and extremely professional looking. I chose the package which Dr Gür designed the hairline, performed all the extractions and made all the incisions, the implants were performed by the technicians. The day of the surgery all went very smoothly. I arrived at the clinic around 9:30am and after some pictures and the hairline design we cracked on with the extractions. The anaesthesia injections were hit and miss with any pain, some were fine and others I could really feel the burning under my skin. Following that Dr Gür performed all the extractions, with a 10-15 minute break in the middle for some snacks that they provided. After finishing up with extraction we had a 30 minute lunch, I was given a choice of options in the morning and the food was really great! After lunch Dr Gür opened all the channels and the techs implanted all the grafts. The whole procedure was finished by roughly 5:30pm. I am at my 10th day post op and so far I am happy with how the hairline looks, just awaiting the dreaded shed and then the waiting game over the next year for the growth and results. Here are some before and after pics, I will try and keep the thread updated every month or two with progress! Pre-op 9 days post op (The last few visible scabs came off completely this morning) Edited June 24, 2022 by Cb2794

The donor area has healed up really nicely, and Dr Gür estimated around 80% density left vs pre op at the back of the head and left side of the head, and around 70% density left to the right side. A total of 2679 grafts and an average of 2.33 hairs per graft. I haven’t had the full breakdown but from memory approx 2000-2200 grafts to fill the receded portions and 400-500 grafts to add density to the middle portion of the front. Regular Member Cb2794 Posted July 15, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 15, 2022 1 month update. Shedding phase is fully taking off, but to my surprise it hasn’t really bothered me in the slightest. Nobody mentions the hair at all whilst out/at work and honestly I forgot I’ve even had the transplant done half the time, which I think is a good mindset as I’m not feeling self-conscious about it’s current look! I also got the post surgical breakdown through this week for those interested. Dr Gür used 0.9mm punch size and graft breakdown as follows: Singles: 393 Doubles: 1000 Triples and Quadruples: 1286 Total: 2679, hairs per follicle averaged 2.33 for a total of 6242 hairs. Senior Member John1991 Posted July 15, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2022 (edited) Looks good density-wise and the design also looks appropriate. Should leave you with a strong, but not overly flat/low hairline. And as far as healing/etc goes, I think you look about as standard as one could possibly look at this point. Any idea what the FU/cm^2 was? Edited July 15, 2022 by John1991

I’ll ask them and see if they have that recorded at all
Regular Member Jackdaniels Posted July 17, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted July 17, 2022 Good luck ! Dr Gur is an ethical and good doctor. It is very good that Dr Gur did all the extractions and incisions, so you can be sure for the result will be succesful. What was the price per graft ?

Regular Member Cb2794 Posted October 17, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2022 4 months in now. From a foot out I think it’s looking great and would be tough to spot as an obvious HT. Closer in its clearer, but It’s only been 4 months so I’m confident the density will continue to improve over the next months. Really pleased this far!

It looks very natural and the progress was very good for 4 months as you had early growth. I’m sure it’s going to look great now. Can you update us ? Thanks. Regular Member Cb2794 Posted January 24, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 24, 2023 Here’s some updates photos. So far so good, results have felt great so far. Unless I told somebody that I’d had the procedure done it would be very difficult to spot if you didn’t know what you were looking for. It’s taken work colleagues by surprise when I’ve talked about it. Expect the density in the corners to improve a little more over the next few months and the donor area is fully healed and even with hair buzzed to a number 1 it’s not noticeable that hairs have been taken from there!
