If the whole point of this is to look good, I honestly think this guys best bet is to shave his head, build some muscle and either rock the beard fully or try the handsome stubbly look. I’m just not sure the amount of hair he’s going to be able to get from surgeries will look better than shaving his head. Especially since he’s actually able to pull off the bald look well - especially for a white dude.

You'd be surprised what a few of the HT docs who are specialists can get out of limited donor mixed with beard and chest hair.  The OP will never look like a teenager but he can certainly be much less bald, if that's his goal.

I agree, he looks good bald. I’m envious. I look like a creep.

Hey guys, I really appreciate your compliments. I know I have not been unlucky with my shaved head. The good things with a hair transplant with a good surgeon is I should be able to shave it again if I feel I look better with my head shaved.

You will probably tell me, so why bother spending a good amount of money on a hair transplant then ? The answer is quite simple in my opinion, it gives me the choice. For now I cannot really tell you if I'm gonna look better but that is something people will know at the same time as me since I'm gonna share my whole journey with you.

I have started conversing with eugenix on whatsapp, I will let you know what is their plan assesing my hair loss when I got their answer. :)

I have to admit your facial features and head shape look great with a shaved  head (and SMP). 👌But I get it. I had a shaved head and SMP for almost 7 years and eventually the thought of having hair won out. That is a lot of beard and body hair to choose from! All the best!

@AB2000Of course, I will discuss that with both of the surgeon i picked. I have miniaturization in my donor, so if it can help me thicken those hair and may be help the one invisible i have on top (because even though it is hard to see them on my pictures, I still feel lot of them on top when I pass my hand through my scalp but they don't really grow anymore, in my crown i have almost nothing left)

@ZoomsterI am sorry to disturb you but I would just like to know how exactly you got proscar prescribed ? Should i go to any doctor to get a prescription ?

Because on internet I only found alternative solution. Thank you for your help.

No problem…pre first HT I simply went to my GP for a prescription..thereafter will at Eugenix they will issue you with a Ton of finasteride..I think it’s 3 years worth I received ..I’m not 100 % on that

Yes very true ..even as recently as a couple of years ago I’d say the general  consensus would be to talk the patient down from having surgery but we’ve turned a corner of sorts on what can be done now with Strong BHT donor…just look at Gatsby..and his beard wasn’t even terribly good .

I think the wish for hair will always win out over the “ shave it and pump iron “ mantra IF the candidate has any chance at all of proceeding ..which I believe he has .

That’s fair, choice is a wonderful thing.

My thoughts exactly.  If someone can get this guy to a decent NW2ish state, then more power to them.  I just think he's in the somewhat rare circumstance where he actually looks good bald, so if he can't get to the aforementioned state, he's sort of choosing for a balding look over just shaving and looking good bald.  I'm not trying to knock him by any means, just my two cents.

Sorry guys, I have been a bit busy those last few days with work.

Thank you @John1991, no worries, I am open to every constructive conversation and I really understand the fact that I'm not a bad looking bald. But I've been thinking. about a hair transplant since 7 years now (forgetting about it for a while since I was too young and not a "suitable" candidate).

Now that I see that some NW6/NW7 are able to get really good result, (I may be don't have the same expectation than a NW3 looking for a hair transplant obviously) I feel it is worth a shot.

Also I feel glad I have been turned down by some good experts such as Dr Feriduni (by the way an amazing human being who took time to help me and advising me even if he knew he wouldn't do surgery on me, if you can go with him don't hesitate) some years ago, if I had done something 4 or 5 years ago I would have probably picked the wrong surgeon for my hair loss, with probably unrealistic expectation and probably a bad outcome.

Today I know a bit what to expect, what can be done and who I can trust to give me the best chance of success. I'm amazed with what eugenix are able to do with BHT, considering I have seen some other surgeon doing it and not getting such good result.

I even showed @Zoomster's result to some of my friends without telling them BHT was part of the process, they didn't notify BHT was done and were shocked/amazed with his result.

My whatsapp call with Eugenix is gonna be tomorrow at 9.30 (PST), it was a bit hard to find a good time to schedule a call since eugenix is in India and I'm in Los Angeles area.

@Amandeep(I guess it is the same person) has been my point of contact and has been able to make everything work well so far.

I will let you know what comes out of our appointment tomorrow.

Thank you guys

You are literally the incarnation of the Androgen Paradox.

DHT is the biggest evolutionnary non sense ever in the history of man kind.

Why the bloody heck on earth does it make us lose hair in such a stupid pattern on top of the scalp while at the same time stimulating body hair growth ?......

Your have extremely agressive hair miniaturization and you hair follicles seem  to have high genetic sensitivity to DHT. Finasteride isn't gonna do much....I'm quite skeptical even about Dutasteride to be honest....Maybe slow down donor thinning at best...

You would need some crazy hormonal pharmacogical intervention like introducing Estrogen and some hardcore oral anti androgens, which of course isn't an option for you...

Getting a beard + body hair transplant is the only option to increase scalp coverage to some extent but beware it won't look nearly as dense as scalp hair.

All the best 🙏

You really should consider the bald look for a few years mate before doing anyting, i know this is tough to swallow for a young guy but doing a HT with your starting point and age is nowhere near where Zoomer was. His donor was great and his hair loss had stabilised due to his high age. Your donor is prone to further miniaturisation since you are so young and your hair loss is so aggressive and there is no telling if those transplanted hair will survive in the long term.. do not think you can simply shave it off later, for most people the FUE scars are very visible and unsightly, even doing SMP into the scars has its issues.. I feel you are potentially leading yourself down a long and mentally, physical and financially draining path... you look very handsome with the shaved look for what it's worth
