  1. Thank you everyone, quick update here at 135 days post op. So I went to my barber and got my first "haircut" in like 6 years. It is amazing what a good haircut can achieve. I don't need the hair fibers anymore. I rather fade it from back to top, make hair appear thicker than what they actually are and I find it quite cool. I think I will probably stick with that haircut while waiting for the second hair transplant for my crown. (I will consider it around the 1 year mark to see the full result of the first hair transplant) I am really delighted with how things are going, even if I am always able to find something wrong since I have never taken that many pictures of my head haha, I guess I am just impatient to see the final result. From top and back perspective you can see that hairs are still thin and patchy but definitely growing and filling the bald spot compare to last month. Anyway, overall I am so happy !!!! I am excited to see how things will go in the next few months. Here are the pictures:
  2. 4 MONTHS Hi everyone, so we are like 5 days past the 4 months mark. I am going to share 3 different post to show everyone where I am at right now. First shots taken indoor with flash on (but I would say good angles to show density haha) Second shots taken outdoor with sunlight Third shots, I just had fun myself putting some toppik on see what the magic does. (does work pretty well by the way) Bit of concern concerning donor area on the side which seem to be thinner. May be It is still because of the shock loss. We will see in the coming months. Anyway even when I had hair I used to trim the side short, so if some part of the donor area are a bit overharvested I will just trim the sides. Concerning recipient area, it seems some growth happened but still very thin, hopefully the density improves in the coming month. Concerning crown area, I am a bit surprised to see a bit of hair popping on my lower crown part, thought they were all gone. I Do not know if it is due to Finasteride or maybe since I haven't let my hair grow since 4 years, they were still here waiting for their time to shine lol For my hair I have added red onion oil + hair pomade to my habits, it's been only 4 days, so I guess I would be able to give you some feedback in the coming weeks. Tomorrow I am going to my barber to trim sides, Hopefully we can work a haircut out since I haven't implanted any hair to the crown yet. So, here we go with the shots.
  3. Hey @Xanadu, yes I have trimmed it multiple times Concerning the sides, I have probably done it 7 to 10 times to get a better look during the ugly ducking phase. Also 10 days after surgery after scabs came out, I asked eugenix if they were able to trim the sides that early and they have done my trimming right away. So I guess no huge deal at any points after scabs came out in that area. Concerning top, I have started trimming it 6 weeks after surgery (also I asked confirmation to the clinic before doing it), since then I think I trimmed it twice including once with my barber 1 month ago. From that point I haven't done anything to my hair.
  4. Hi everyone, @Joseph James, yes I am still taking finasteride, its been 5 months now. Also still taking the dietary program that I got from Eugenix. Just to show you how everything is going, right now I am at 105 days (3 months 1/2) It seems hairs are starting to show up, So far, I am thrilled with the results. I hope in the coming months everything is gonna be more dense and less sparse on top. But even as of now, without knowing what the results could be at the end of the whole process, I am really happy. Could definitely only go with the buzzcut, so from now, I guess everything extra will be a bonus for me haha
  5. Amazing result @Gatsby, i hope I will get that much coverage after my hair transplant journey haha
  6. Hi guys, so just wanted to show you the progress month to month from day 1 to day 90 on top in the recipient area. Seems hairs are getting thicker or darker at month 3 mark + i think some growth happened already. Don't know if it's just me seeing it or if I'm just being biased. Please note that all the pictures were taken with flash on, except the one at day 60 with the French soccer team jersey on haha Day 30: Day 60: Day 75: Day 90:
  7. thanks @Melvin- Moderator, yes it seems every part of my body decided to grow some serious hair when I started losing them on top haha.
  8. If you are a hard case and never had HT before, I will go with dr Bansal, very skilled and a lovely person. I have done the super premium package with her and for now I am already happy with the result at month 3 (considering my starting point). If your case is easier than mine, I would probably just go with Dr Feriduni. He was my number one choice for some years but would not have been able to assess my case the way I wanted to, that's why I picked Dr Bansal after seeing some amazing results she did get for similar case than me. You should take an appointment with both and judge for yourself. They are both lovely person and perfectionist in their work. (Feriduni even knowing he would not take my case, helped me make some important decision concerning my hair transplant when I asked him in our email conversation some insights about my hair surgeon short list)
  9. hi @Henry, Yes I like it better too, just on the day of surgery I let every hair that I still have available grow for 2 to 3 months in order for them to assess my case the best they could (which I could have avoided from my understanding haha). And right now, I took some time off while letting the hair process goes on, so that's why I didn't pay too much attention to my beard. Usually I let it go to a 6 mm and like to dye it a bit darker to avoid that multicolor beard that you can see on the pictures above
  10. DAY 90 UPDATE Hey everyone, hope you are all doing great. Finally at day 90. Last week I trimmed my hair again to a number 1 trim since I had important meeting for work and didn't want to look too messy on top. Hopefully it is the last time I will trim it to a #1 on top haha. (even if I really like the buzzcut). Here we go with the pictures from all the angles under sunlights except the first one.
  11. Yes that's what I would like to achieve. For now, already happy. and may be when the SMP gonna disappear I will go back to the same guy who did it for me 3 years ago to get it done again (may be I wont need it but just planning in case I need it) Also I forgot to mention that compare to last month, hair seems to get softer
  12. Hi @Rafael Manelli, thank you for the kind word. Yes the beard hair definitely helps me, I'm also astonished how Dr Bansal was able to get that much graft. Concerning the second surgery, I don't even know if I will lower the hairline. That one seems nice enough for a 30 years old. I will may be focus on adding density to my new existing hair (using mainly scalp hair) without lowering the hairline + do the crown with a mix of beard and scalp hair . I rather being conservative. But first I'm waiting for the final result and I will decide then with doctor approval. @ThinningIndian, Thank you very much, here we go, this picture is from today with flash on (that's why I got red eyes on it haha)
  13. @BaldingEye, Thank you, I really appreciate it. Yes, Arika Bansal told me she could be able to harvest 4000 from my scalp donor. We will see in the next month how it goes with finasteride. Concerning the beard, I don't have a number but I know she will be able to get a lot more, since I still have lot of density left. Its like nothing has changed, my barber didn't notice i had beard hair extracted. If they are able to get a total of 8K grafts from my supposed poor scalp area. I think they will be able to get a lot more from my beard haha. I personally think for the second surgery I will go with the same that I had for my first surgery. Like 1K beard + 2.5 to 3.5K hair. At the 6 month mark, I will re-evaluate my case with doctor Bansal.
  14. 10 weeks post op (Flash on): Just uploading a picture after 10 weeks, I went to the barber on Wednesday to trim my hair to a number 1 (3mm) on the top and fade it on the side from 3mm to 0 , Even when completely shaved, hard to notice there was a hair transplant on the donor area. Except still a bit of redness but not highly noticeable (dont really know when its gonna completely go away). Disclosure: I asked Eugenix before going to the barber if it was okay and they told me it was okay after 2 months to do so.
  15. DAY 60 Here we go the 60 day mark or 2 month after surgery. Right now it seems most of the shedding has already occurred. That ugly ducking phase is a bit stressful and I can't wait to see the results in the coming month. Hopefully I will get result as good as some of the guys I have seen on that forum. To make it pass more smoothly I have done what @Zoomsterdid, which is shave everything at at number 1 or 2 trim (cannot really remember, I have done it last week). What i can tell, is even with the shedding, it definitely seems I have more hair than what I had before + it blends not bad with the SMP I have done around 3 years ago. I am still taking finasteride daily since 3 months now + the vitamins dietary program that I got from Eugenix (6 days a week). I have noticed some kind of spots popping in the back of my head, generally disappeared after a day or so without touching it. I really can't wait to start that month 3, all your feedback are greatly appreciated.
  16. Hi everyone, Sorry for the late reply, I was in France seeing my family. Just got back to the US. I will try to answer all questions that have been asked. @fabi100nx, I asked Dr Bansal about how much she think we will still be able to harvest from the scalp donor area, and she told me they will probably be able to get around 4K graft. I will also probably need around 3K grafts for the crown for my next surgery. But all estimates will be done around the 6 month mark after re-evaluating my procedure + the results of finasteride and my dietary supplements I am currently taking . I am not thinking about getting hair from other parts than my scalp or beard. I still have a lot to spare from the beard area to use in addition of the scalp hair. Some of you asked me about the price, for that point I took the super premium package to get Dr Bansal doing all the incisions + crucial implantations + all extractions. So that package is one of the most expensive they offer, that comes at a bit more than $4 per graft. But there is multiple package for all budget. I will post the 1 month result and today's result (It has been 2 month since the surgery)
  17. DAY 8 ALL SCABS REMOVED Yesterday, I went to my first head wash on day 7 where I got almost 90% of my scabs removed + I came today as well and I got the rest of my scabs removed. The feeling on the scalp is weird since the hair transplant was done last week, but it was to be expected. When I had my ACL done it took times to get all sensations back. They told me it could take 3 to 4 weeks to get it back (sometimes less, sometime more). Also the new transplanted hair right now feels like a 3 day beard when I touch them, but it is already better than yesterday, so I guess the more shampoo I will have, the more It will get soft. I am so thrilled with the results for now, I am gonna enjoy those brand new hair before they start shedding haha . We will see those hair back in 3 to 6 month anyway, they also deserve some vacation after what they have been through. Here are the pictures, ITS A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE FOR ME
  18. Day 5 Recipient area close up Top right view Top left view Top view Crown (view from top) ANY FEEDBACK APPRECIATED (for the ones who want to see the evolution I suggest you to open this page twice and then split your screen in 2 parts with the picture of day 3 on the left side and today's date on the right side) I will always try to put the pictures in the same order to make things easier (im a bit OCD)
  19. Day 5 Donor area close up Left side + Left side lock Right side + Right side lock Back (view from behind)
  20. Yes @BaldingEagle1, I can't wait to get them removed on Saturday. I guess @Gramatik, you were the one asking if my scabs removal will be on day 7 or 8. I was thinking day 8, but it will be finally on day 7. Thank you @Gatsby, I will try my best to keep it that way, probably by posting another close up picture later today. Then the next picture will be saturday after scabs removal. Also, first part of that life changing experience, having been a smoker for more than 10 years (I told you I was French haha), I have been able to stop since 11 days for the first time in my life and don't plan to smoke again. Sometime I guess you just need something important to motivate you. While you are waiting for more documentation, this is a video that will may be bring some memory back to some of you who were able to be at the farmhouse. https://youtube.com/shorts/xoMCXUguK48?feature=share I can't thank Dr Sethi, Dr Bansal, the whole Eugenix team and everybody working with them enough. I have learn the story of Dr Sethi, and it is a real success story, and he deserves it when you know everything he gives back to his community, A REAL GOOD HUMAN BEING.
  21. Day 3 Recipient area close up Top right view Top left view Top view Crown (view from behind) (I actually did not get graft in that part of the crown, but I guess I just want to see if i can see some improvement in the following month due to finasteride by posting some weekly pictures)
