  2. Thank you @Ryan Daniel, hopefully Finasteride does its job for the future, but yes, I already plan a second session for the crown next year depending on my results and how my donor recover. And then in the following years, I will probably have to get some correction.
  3. Hi guys, so few updates, Today I came to do my usual daily cleansing at the clinic, Dr Sethi saw me and heard about the fact that I have extended my trip and that I was supposed to go to the Hilton and pay for a full week there. That's when Eugenix team member Rajat announced me that they wanted to invite me to stay to their farm house instead of going to the Hilton. That such an amazing attention. I saw the place on @Melvin- Moderator's video and I can't wait to enjoy the rest of my trip there. That was really unexpected Eugenix really pays attention to details. Also, I am showing you some pictures that I took myself at day 2 post op (more precisely 40 hours after end of surgery), I will try to take some with Eugenix lighting tomorrow if possible of my donor area (Beard + scalp) + recipient area
  4. Thank you guys, I appreciate your feedback Excellent question @Gramatik, so my plan is the following, Concerning Finasteride: I just started using it a month ago, I still have some thin hair remaining on top of my scalp + my crown, so hopefully they will get thicker in the next 9 to 12 months (I don't count on it but hope never hurts haha). It should at least avoid them to fall out + it should make my donor area stronger and thicker if everything goes right. Concerning the hair transplant: I want to see the evolution of the results from month 3 to 12 to better assess my situation with Dr Bansal for a second transplant. That being said, the plan is to get another hair transplant to assess the crown area in 12 to 14 months + if possible add a bit of density on top if needed. But the exact plan will depend on how everything goes with what I said above. Edit: I forgot to answer you about the fact if I will use beard for the second hair transplant, so the answer is Yes, it will most likely require a combination of beard + scalp
  5. Thank you @Zoomster, I will update everyone tomorrow to show you pictures of how my donor is healing. So far so good by the way. Hey @ray35, thank you for the kind message. I am still in New Delhi right now. My surgery happened yesterday and 2 days ago. I was supposed to take my flight back tomorrow but I decided to call emirates to delay it which costed me $300 more. I gave myself 2 options: Either staying 8 more days (cost me $600) in Delhi chilling in a nice hotel and being able to have supervision and feedback from the clinic itself every day + all the daily donor area cleansing done by them (They are actually picking me up every day from the hotel to the clinic and then dropping me back at the hotel later on) + the head wash by them at the end of the week. Or taking a business flight to be more comfortable (my total flight is 11 hours) which would have costed me $2000. And then do everything myself, not really being able to take good care of my donor during the flight. So I picked option 1 haha Concerning head wash, my surgery ended on November 26, and I will do the head wash on the 8th days after the surgery, which bring us to the 4th of december and I leave Delhi on the 5th of december. I do not know if it really matter to do it on day 7 or day 8, I will ask them tomorrow.
  6. Hi guys, Prologue: I already started a post 6 months ago letting you know about the fact that I was thinking about an hair transplant after seeing the results of @Zoomster. Since then I had to take some time off to make my own decision. I was comforted in my choice seeing than more and more persons on this forum were going with either Dr Sethi or Dr Bansal. I finally took my final decision during the month of October after reaching out to Eugenix and Dr Bansal herself during a zoom call. I felt really confident with her on day one, and that confidence grew up even more when I saw her and her team in person when I arrived in India. A bit about myself: My name is Nicolas, I am from France but live in Los Angeles. I am 28 years old, I started noticing hair falling/thinning at the age of 18 and since then it went down the hills as you will see in my pre-op pictures. In the past I never really wanted to take Finasteride because I was scared of the "side effects" after over reading articles on internet about it. May be it is one of my regret that I did not start earlier and I advise people to give it a try for a month, and if they do not have any sides effects, to keep taking it. It can probably be a big game changer (and also money saver, if you need less grafts you can probably keep a good amount of money for some vacation haha) the day you will have to do you surgery. My medications: Finasteride 1mg each day (since October 20 2022): The first two days I noticed that I had legs cramps even though I was not doing anything that should have make me feel like this, so I blamed the finasteride for it, but after those 2 first days it disappeared. My guess is that since it is a strong drugs, your body probably need to adapt to this medicine (but I am not a doctor, so do not take my words as facts) Dietary supplement "Hair Fact" (since post surgery, November 26 2022): Combinations of medicines provided by Eugenix after my surgery, those are composed of: Tricho gold, Cal D3, Tricho Ferum, Tricho Flax, Tricho protein, Q10S. To be 100% honest I have not done any research about it, I am just confident with what the clinic gave me, and I am willing to give it a try. Why did I chose Eugenix? I chose them taking in considerations many things, first of all, I have been researching about a hair surgeon that I feel confident with for years, I had calls with Dr Feriduni, Dr Bisanga, Dr Umar and others. Personnally I did not get a good feeling with Dr Umar, I felt like I was just a cash cow in his eyes (it was only my perception, so may be others had different views of him), Dr Feriduni is an amazing doctor and a fantastic person. He had been in touch with me even though he told me he would not be able to perform surgery with me (it was 2/3 years ago), he was even advising me about my choices, so I can't thank him enough. Concerning Dr Bisanga, I think he was a good person but my final decision came to a kind of final between Dr Bansal/Dr Sethi and him and I finally made my decision to go with Dr bansal. I think when it comes to your hair transplant, you have to know your situation, mine was a 28 years old NW6. Then you need to find a surgeon that have done work on similar cases. And finally the feeling plays a big role in the final choice. With Dr Bansal I felt very confident that I could get a good outcome out of that transplant. THE SURGERY Super Premium Package Planning designing, Complete Slits Complete extraction and Crucial implantation to be performed by Dr Arika Bansal and further assisted by Senior Eugenix Technicians under the supervision of the leading doctor. Value added benefits: Complimentary three nights accomodation with airport pick up and drop off. Seven days post-op medication will be provided them. Day 1: I arrived at Delhi airport in the morning around 9 AM where Eugenix had scheduled a picked up, they dropped me at the hotel they booked which was the Marriot courtyard (very nice by the way). I took a nap because of the small jet lag and then I had to go to Eugenix at 4 PM where I received 2 test shots of anesthesia to check my reactions + some paperwork to fill out. Then they dropped me at the hotel where I got a massage session (I advice you to do it while you can, before after the surgery you won't be able to enjoy it haha) Day 2: Eugenix picked me up at 10.30 AM, On my arrival there, I was welcomed by Ritu, I was a bit stressed but she really helped me out dealing with that and I can't thank her enough for it. they started taking Pre-op pictures of me (I deliberately let my beard and my hair grew for more than a month before the surgery), then Dr Bansal came for the first time, we started talking about the surgery plan which was originally to take 2500 hair from scalp and 1000 from beard + she started drawing my hairline. During the morning they got some blood from me to reinject it using PRP method and we finally started the surgery around 3 PM, I would say the most painful part is probably the anesthesia, but I have done SMP 2 years ago and the whole process was less painful overall than my whole session of PRP + Romita who gave the anesthesia is super kind. Everything which was promise in the package has been respected and Dr Bansal is a real kind professional. After I got my head shaved, she told me that my donor was actually in better condition than expected and she told me she will probably be able to get more from the scalp than what was thought before (without promising me anything at this point) They ended the day around 9 PM. Total graft for the first day of surgery : 1306 (Scalp) + 307 (Left side lock) -> 1613 grafts Day 3: Eugenix picked me up around 8 AM that time and we started the surgery around 9 AM, that day was the most exhausting since It ended at 9.30 PM. The most painful part was probably the moment they had to do the anesthesia under my chin, I think it was Rajat who gave me a yellow emoji stress ball (I do not know if someone else had it, but if someone got it in the future, there is probably still my hand pressure on it haha). That's around noon that Ashish with Dr Bansal came to tell me that they would be able to get more grafts from my donor area and were asking me if I was okay with it (which I obviously agreed). During the whole procedure I always had at least 3 to 4 persons with me, and at some point I think they were 7 or 8 taking care of me (some of the planters assistant even gave me some massage because I had to stretch out a little bit after laying down for so much time, that was not expected but definitely helped me relax haha) Total graft of that day: 1735 (Scalp) + 973 (Beard) + 205 (Right side lock) -> 2913 grafts At the end of that exhausting day, They gave me some medications for the week as promised + all the instructions to take care of my new transplanted hair + they took some post OP pictures of me. TOTAL GRAFTS FOR THE WHOLE SURGERY: 3041 (Scalp) + 973 (Beard) + 512 (Side locks) -> 4526 Grafts Day 4: I was supposed to leave on day 5 but I was a bit scared to take a flight and risking doing some damages to my grafts, So I decided to extend my trips for 8 more days at the hotel to be able to go every day at Eugenix to get my donor cleansing done + at the end of week 1, having my head washed by themselves before flying back. Satyam who was my contact as concierge did such a great job adapting to my last minute demand and even though the Marriott was full, he found me another hotel (Hilton) in the hour or so. A BIG THANK YOU TO DR BANSAL FOR EVERYTHING, I hope that whole trip is gonna be a life changing event for me Also I want to thank the following persons: Victoria, Kimmi, Deepika, Romita and Ritu, all of them really charming persons and really kind during the whole procedure. Concerning the guys: Rajat, Ranjan, Tapan, Amrendra, Sipun, Ashish, Sethy, sahoo, Adarsh and Bapi, they were fantastic from the first minute I met them I probably forgot some people and I apologize for that. In the next post, I am going to give you my pictures Pre-OP In the second post, I am going to give you my pictures Post-OP Every feedback is appreciated, and I hope my case will inspire some people who were in my situation and are still a bit hesitant about going for a HT. Thank to all of you, Nicolas
  7. Sorry guys, I have been a bit busy those last few days with work. Thank you @John1991, no worries, I am open to every constructive conversation and I really understand the fact that I'm not a bad looking bald. But I've been thinking. about a hair transplant since 7 years now (forgetting about it for a while since I was too young and not a "suitable" candidate). Now that I see that some NW6/NW7 are able to get really good result, (I may be don't have the same expectation than a NW3 looking for a hair transplant obviously) I feel it is worth a shot. Also I feel glad I have been turned down by some good experts such as Dr Feriduni (by the way an amazing human being who took time to help me and advising me even if he knew he wouldn't do surgery on me, if you can go with him don't hesitate) some years ago, if I had done something 4 or 5 years ago I would have probably picked the wrong surgeon for my hair loss, with probably unrealistic expectation and probably a bad outcome. Today I know a bit what to expect, what can be done and who I can trust to give me the best chance of success. I'm amazed with what eugenix are able to do with BHT, considering I have seen some other surgeon doing it and not getting such good result. I even showed @Zoomster's result to some of my friends without telling them BHT was part of the process, they didn't notify BHT was done and were shocked/amazed with his result. My whatsapp call with Eugenix is gonna be tomorrow at 9.30 (PST), it was a bit hard to find a good time to schedule a call since eugenix is in India and I'm in Los Angeles area. @Amandeep(I guess it is the same person) has been my point of contact and has been able to make everything work well so far. I will let you know what comes out of our appointment tomorrow. Thank you guys
  8. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it. Thank you @Gatsby
  9. Hey guys, I really appreciate your compliments. I know I have not been unlucky with my shaved head. The good things with a hair transplant with a good surgeon is I should be able to shave it again if I feel I look better with my head shaved. You will probably tell me, so why bother spending a good amount of money on a hair transplant then ? The answer is quite simple in my opinion, it gives me the choice. For now I cannot really tell you if I'm gonna look better but that is something people will know at the same time as me since I'm gonna share my whole journey with you. I have started conversing with eugenix on whatsapp, I will let you know what is their plan assesing my hair loss when I got their answer.
  10. @AB2000Of course, I will discuss that with both of the surgeon i picked. I have miniaturization in my donor, so if it can help me thicken those hair and may be help the one invisible i have on top (because even though it is hard to see them on my pictures, I still feel lot of them on top when I pass my hand through my scalp but they don't really grow anymore, in my crown i have almost nothing left) @ZoomsterI am sorry to disturb you but I would just like to know how exactly you got proscar prescribed ? Should i go to any doctor to get a prescription ? Because on internet I only found alternative solution. Thank you for your help.
  11. Thank you @J.A.C, I'm gonna see @AB2000's results. Since I am located in Los Angeles area, I have met Dr Umar 2 years ago. His work is pretty impresive, He would have take care of my hair restoration but first, since it is in the US, achieving a great result would have been overbudget for me and my goal is to be able to complete my hair restoration goals. Also It is hardly explainable but I didn't feel 100% confident going with him, and I have to 100% trust my surgeon with my hair at stake. And just to be clear of anyone who's gonna read that, Dr Umar had some amazing result so if you feel confident going with him you should listen to yourself. It. was only my perception of things
  12. hey @HappyMan2021, that's a good question for which I cannot give you an exact anwer. From my own experience, my beard seems to grow really long and when taking care of with good beard shampoo, it is getting similarities with my hair which are originally straight. The only negative point is i have a rainbow beard which goes from blond to ginger to brown. But that's always something that could be dyed. Concerning my chest, I don't know if it will match well with my scalp (for a buzz cut it will not be noticeable, if grown longer it could probably be used as a filler between my other grafts. I don't really know why arm hair are not used that much since i feel they have very big similarities with my original hair. My hairs always have been really thin. I will ask it to dr Sethi when I got him on a zoom call.
  13. sorry @J.A.CI'm not gonna mispell your nickname again, I want to put every chances on my side (yes i'm a bit superstitious 😂) Thank you @Melvin- Moderator, that's why I feel, even if my result doesn't match some great one I have seen, I would be able to rock a buzzcut, + maybe a SMP to add the illusion of density. @ZoomsterYes eugenix is probably my number one choice, just waiting for their reply that I should have by tomorrow from what they told me today. I hope I will be able to match your results . I will take advantage to be in India to go to the Taj mahal as well before the days of surgery, since it is something I always wanted to see. A quick question, in the recent years I have noticed my back hair neck growing (which by the way is annoying. Do you guys have heard about the use of those hairs (since they are in the continuity of the donor area I don't really know if they are usable and if it is a great match)
  14. hi @hairman22, Yes I am aware that Propecia has mixed results. I don't want to be a guinea pig for you guys haha, but I've seen some case miniaturization reversal and I am willing to see what the results will be with me. I will stop if i see disturbing side effects, but from my experience, the more you think about the worst, the more it happened (how weird the human brain is ) If the surgeon doesn't see a point in me taking it, I will not take it (for once I will be a good student). And as I said I am willing to get a buzz cut, I was more into having long hair when i was a teenager but the older I get, the less I am into long hair + I am doing it to have a good outcome, so we will see what fit me the most. Also I feel it's better to get realistic expectations, this way, the rest will only be some bonus.
  15. @jacThank you for the good words, It would not be unpleasant to get rid of some of those body hair since i feel like having another sweater on me 😂😂 Hi @asterix0 yes, obviously I hope to get the same result than zoomster, but I am willing to get a buzzcut if mine is not as succesful. Very aware that it's not a straight shot. Also I am attaching pictures when I take care of my shaved head instead of letting every possible hair grows for the surgeon to better review my case. Just to show that even with a final result of a buzzcut I would be pleased. (By the way SMP did an amazing job to show me how a very thin buzz cut would look like, that's also a reason that pushed me to explore my possibilities). Not gonna lie I was a bit drunk on that one 🤣 Here this is my bead when i was growing it really long (t happened to be longer but I didn't find those pictures yet) (also I was really taking good care of my beard at this period)
  16. This is my situation in 2022, please note that I have done SMP in the united States in 2021. I have also deliberately let every part. where I have hair growing for submitting to both surgeons.
  17. As promised, this is my situation in March 2019: (including pictures of every possible donor areas + my hairloss advancement)
  18. Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. First before explaining my case, I would like to thank hairrestoration.com and @Melvin- Moderator who have allow me to find real experiences from real patients here, which is not always the case on every hairloss website. After the greeting, let me explain what is my situation and my expectation. I am 28 years old from France and living in the United States since 4years. I have been losing my hair since my early 20's and am now already at Norwood 6. Since the last 2 years not a lot of things have changed. I have always been skeptical about using finasteride due to lot of bad reviews about side effects (but if you think about it, most people who had good experience with it are not gonna report it, but the few unfortunates will obviously report it on every topic). Anyway I decided I will give it a go and see the results on me (since each person is different, everybody's reaction is different as well). I am going to try Zoomster's diet (which is for me, may be the case I could inspired myself the most with my expectations), and report you my evolution. @Zoomster diet: (hope you did not trademark that treatment ahah) "My daily regime has been ; 1.25mg proscar 3 times a week MWF 3000 mg MSM 2 x hair bust vits packed with goodies such as biotin, zinc, selenium, iron etc High protein diet including 2 fruit packed smoothies Try and get 2 litres of water in each day and my secret little weapon is a massaging of organic cold pressed avocado oil each night ..I’ve been doing this since day 14 .:.packed with nourishment for hair shaft and scalp". Obviously in order to achieve the result I am expecting, I will have to find a top surgeon to undergo a hair transplant (including BHT) with multiple sessions. After 5 years of research, and talking with lot of top surgeon adapted to my case, this is my final short list: -Dr Bisanga, Belgium -Dr Sethi, India Probably the only guys who would be able to assess my case. Since I started losing my hair, I shaved my head completely and have done SMP last year (it's all about illusion ahah). Which in my humble opinion is the most cost effective/good looking solution (for me at least). But now I want to go for the next step. Could something go wrong ? Yes, there is no such things as 0 risk surgery or hair transplant (even more in my case). That's why it took me so long to establish my short list, I have also waited some years to see a bit of slowing instead of going all in when my hair loss was on its hard way. I wanted to establish a realistic plan for my future and minimizing the risk to get a patchy hair restoration) What, if something goes wrong ? I will shave my head completely, I know I still look good when having my hair completely shaved. (but the advantage of having hair, is that you have the choice to shave it or not) Hopefully everything will go well and I am gonna be a good case study for some other people in my case. When do I plan my hair transplant ? My goal ideally, would be to get my first hair transplant done in September 2022, and stick to the plan I will agree with either Dr Bisanga or Dr Sethi (I think Eugenix would be able to better assess my case but both seems amazing) Do i want to get my teenager hairs back ? Even though it sounds tempting, you gotta be realistic with what you have + I am soon in my 30's, and I don't feel I really need that much density anyway. I am good with looking like a NW3 and if by chance we can do more this will probably be something to think about after seeing the results of the first/second op. I am someone who likes to take calculated risk and before doing something I am assesing Pros/cons to see if the outcome overtake the risk. With everything listed above, I feel it is worth a try. How many graft will I need ? Probably at least 10 000 grafts coming from my body + donor area (in hope also that finasteride gonna do its job on my donor miniaturization) in multiple surgeries. (but I am not the surgeon and only him will be able to give an exact number) Is my beard hair similar to my hair? Not 100%, because of different color pattern in my beard (If it is only that, dying those beard hair could be a solution) ,I have been blessed with a huge beard and when i grew it really long with using good beard shampoo product, it was growing straight (I will attach some picture taken 5 or 6years ago when I had it like this) To make it more clear for you and avoid you having to figure which picture belong to which. year, I will write 2 other comments, one with my situation in 2019 and one in 2022. I have ordered the product from zoomster diet, so I will be able to show you every step of the evolution whenever I received it. Thank you all.
