Senior Member Vann Posted November 16, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2022 Nice. How does the density compare without any kind of styling. Are there visible gaps? there’s a bit of spacing on your front slightly to the left. How does that hold in natural/harsh lights? nonetheless for 9 months this looks really great Follow my first hair transplant journey 3,252 Grafts a minimum of 6,712 hairs June 2022

Blonde hair on a Caucasian male has a much, much lower contrast between skin tone and hair colour, which makes creating an illusion of density a far easier task. The trail of thought that all blonde haired people have fine hair is also one hell of a great myth - and OP is testimony to this, just look at his grown out donor. Hair characteristics hugely determine the expectations candidates can have, but providing all variables equal between a dark haired Caucasian male and a blonde haired Caucasian male -a surgeon would have a much easier task of creating a full looking transplant with the blonde haired patient, purely because of the reduced contrast between scalp and hair. Regardless , this is a very good result, and I hope OP continues to enjoy his new hairline. Congrats to patient and team.

That is true, but blonde people (not all), have a much finer hair caliber in general. Scalp to hair contrast is only one part of the equation. If you have fine hair, it will be difficult to achieve visual density. Because it will require more hair to cover the surface area, regardless of scalp to hair color contrast. It looks good without styling also, but of course not the same as natural grown hair. Not worried about the spacing, but there seems to be a slight less dense area behind the transplanted hair. I do use 1mg finasteride 3 times a week, which I hope will be enough to keep the hair many years down the road.

I don't look in the mirror and with an unpleasant feeling. Instead im just excited to style my hair every time. I take finasteride EOD because im so happy about my hair now, and want it for as long as possible, and not worry about losing it. No sides. Also take vitamins.Fresh out the shower with wet hair: Air dried with salt water: Styled in front of windows:

Bisanga usually suggests oral minox.. did you not decide to go for that for a particular reason, or did he not suggest it for a particular reason..? 2. Regarding your fine hair, did Bisanga mention what the hair groupings were like...? Mostly 2s, 3s, or even 1s...? Thanks!

As I thought Finasteride would be enough. And to me sides from minox are a bit more unpleasant. My graft breakdown is this: 2535 grafts. 1 Follicular unit: 484 grafts 2 Follicular unit: 972 grafts 3 Follicular unit: 1011 grafts 4 Follicular unit: 67 grafts Total hairs: 5729 Average hair pr graft 2.25 Mostly 3s but not a lot with 4 hair.

Love Dr Bisanga, he is among the best. @Mdc2021 and the photos you have been shared are gold to really understand and see what a hair transplant is about and what results should we expect depending on our hair characteristics... Thanks for sharing and detailing your adventure and thoughts. Time to enjoy : )

Time to enjoy : ) Yeah I was going to say the same, terrific result and the different lighting/angles and comb through has been great to show people what a trasnplant is actually like, wish this was the norm for results threads.
