Saurabh Gupta
I got my HT done by Dr Gaurang Krishna and I am glad that I chose him and Medlinks to perform it. Here’s the series of events: Oct 5 - I called Medlinks to setup an appointment with Dr Gaurang Krishna for the HT consultation Oct 7 - I was greeted by the staff and Nabeela Mehmood was assigned as my HT consultant. She was professional, patient and explained the entire process to me before introducing me to Dr Gaurang Krishna. I met Dr Gaurang Krishna who is an absolute delight to talk to. He answered all my questions about the HT, medicines, and helped remove any doubts I had as one can imagine, it’s normal to be a bit apprehensive and nervous. After speaking for 30 mins with him, I decided to move forward with the HT. I was asked to get a few tests done prior to the surgery such as RT PCR and a few regular blood tests. Oct 15 - The day of the HT surgery. Nabeela received me and explained to me what to expect. Dev from Dr Gaurang Krishna’s team assisted me that day with drawing blood (for PRP and other pre surgery tests), trimming my head. He is awesome. Made me feel absolutely comfortable and I didn't he feel the prick for the tests. Once the OT was ready for me, Dr Gaurang Krishna and his team started the HT surgery. They are an amazing team. They regularly asked me about any pain, anu discomfort and if I wanted to take any breaks. To be 1000% honest, the only pain I felt was during the anesthesia numbing of the scalp. Once that was done, I didnt feel anything for the rest of the HT operation. I was provided small snacks and juice during the breaks. Once the HT surgery was completed, I was provided with the full post surgery instructions and medicines. From Oct 15 - Nov 14 - During this 1 month, the first week is crucial as you have to be careful about the way you sleep and about taking the prescribed medicines on time. Also, you have to be careful about the doner and transplanted area. I had swelling on my face for the first few days which gradually and eventually went away with the prescribed meds. During this one month period, I was in touch with Nabeela who helped answer my questions/concerns and was also able to provide feedback on the progress (via pics I shared) from Dr Gaurang Krishna. Nov 15 (yesterday) - I received my first PRP (one PRP was given during the surgery itself). Nabeela received me at the clinic and also made me meet Dr Gaurang Krishna. He observed the progress and confirmed all looks great and the results should be great. I got my PRP exactly after a month as I will be leaving back to the US in a few days. Overall, if you’re thinking of getting a HT or have any concerns about HT, I HIGHLY recommend getting in touch with Dr Gaurang Krishna. He, his staff and the facility and immaculate. To me, the honesty, professionalism, skills and hygiene matter A LOT and at Medlinks, these things are 10/10. Thank you Dr Krishna, Nabeela, Dev and the team who was present for my HT. You all are rockstars!!!
