Is that a normal price or on the expensive side? This is with a good reputation one here in Leeds https://www.hairdr.co.uk/

.

It's a bit more than what I wanted to pay but if of course about quality and reputation then I'm happy to pay on the higher end for this type of thing. However if there are other options at a better price, even abroad like in Europe or Turkey then I'd be keen to know that too.

Any thoughts?

It seems a fair price for the UK, but it doesn’t guarantee a great result. You could get it done for half that in Turkey and it could be the same or better (depends what your budget is).... or worse obviously.

Reading reviews on here there’s certainly no guarantee wherever u go.

Yes Dr Arshad is arguably the best in the Uk. If your looking outside of Uk then you so many options open to you. As I mentioned In your other thread you have elite Spanish, Portuguese, Belgium Drs to consider for Europe.
Turkey you can consider Dr Bicer, HLC, Pekiner and Keser for example. Or Eugenix if you was to travel further afield.

Dr. Arshad is probably the least expensive with quality in the UK. Don’t ever base your decisions on cost. Money comes and goes, but your donor is finite.

6K GBP for 2000 grafts via FUE is on par with the Spanish and Belgian surgeons - obviously you wouldn’t have flights/Eurostar to factor in either, however as has been mentioned, try not to let cost or convenience be the main drivers for your decision . . It is important to choose the right doctor for your particular case above all.

FWIW Dr Arshad has seemingly been producing some good results as of late, and there are quite a few patient threads of his on here now that should help with your research.

Without seeing your pics, I’m unable to point you in a direction to any specific doctor based on your current state of play, but I am able to advise that if you care enough about your hair, an extra few £k for the right surgeon will be absolutely worth it.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just worried that they confirmed this is for the hairline and temples, so my crown is thinning also but the idea is mediciation will stabilize that, eg Finastride / Minoxidil and then my temple and front will be corrected for 6K

So eventually I may get to a point I need to do my crown too meaning a second HT

That's a fair price - I paid very similar for the same amount of grafts from Dr Feller in 2012 - not including flights to New York and accommodation / spending money etc. for the 3 days I was there.

Sitting on a plane for 7 hours with a hat on because of your HT isn't fun either. As long as you are choosing a top doctor, there's a lot to be said for staying closer to home even if it is a little bit more expensive for the surgery.

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.

That’s the best course of action, especially since the crown is a black hole for grafts. I usually recommend hairline first, meds for the crown. That’s the ethical way. Sure you can go to some mill that will say they’ll do everything for 5,000 grafts and for pennies, but you’d probably end up botched without options after.
