Where are you located?  I imagine an ethical surgeon would do some bloodwork to determine the cause before doing surgery.  Generally it's a bit trickier for women.

Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008

Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013

Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020

Please take a look at our recommendations, there’s a section to look at female hair transplants. Set up a consultation with whomever impresses you.

I’m 56, starting to really see diffuse thinning behind frontal hairline, and also temple recession. Also, My hair is fine.

First, welcome to the community Belinda. I definitely would want to rule out other issues that may be contributing to your thinning hair (such as your thyroid hormone level, any vitamin deficiency, hormonal imbalances). As @Melvin-Moderator suggested, you should certainly consult with the recommended surgeons here.

My advice does not constitute a patient-physician relationship nor as medical advice and all medical questions/concerns should be addressed to your medical provider.
