2100 FUE. What do you think?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting and first I wanted to thank the members of this forum for providing valuable advice and tips that I was able to use over the past year.
I got my hair restoration done 9 months ago in October 2019. It was 2100 FUE and the focus of the restoration was mainly on the front of the scalp. My crown is missing most of its hair but nothing was transplanted there. It cost me nearly ~$17k including transportation lodging etc :-( It was quite painful, uncomfortable, with a good bit of face swelling etc. Overall not something I would want to go through again.

I am attaching before and after pics and I wanted your opinion on the following:
How does it look? In your opinion was the restoration effective for 2100 grafts?
(also, I'm due for a haircut. Haven't gotten around to it due to Corona)

I mean, if you wanted full coverage then you were always going to need more than one operation. If the goal was to fill out the frontal region, I think it looks pretty good tbh. Where did you get it done and are you planning a second op?

I can see improvement. It’s not a massive amount of grafts for your level of baldness. It would seem you need multiple Hts if you wanted to improve it further.
Who was your chosen Dr/Clinic?

Do you have pics from your actual surgery day ?

The results look good, you know have a framed face. You will require upwards of 5,000 grafts to get more coverage. The crown is likely going to stay thin.

Yup, that's about what 2,100 grafts can do.  Good luck with your subsequent procedures!

If you wanted to cover your entire bald area you would need 7000 grafts or more. You only did 2100.

If you can get another 2100 to cover the area marked you will be looking much better.

17k? For 2k grafts!! Sheeeshh who did you go to?

My opinion? what a horribly planned procedure costing an arm and a leg. I mean unless it’s what you wanted, you don’t have much of a hairline, that 2k grafts would’ve given you quite an amazing dense hairline if they were properly used.

I am sorry but cases like these have been quite sobering and helped me get over my panic attack few months ago. I just love my hairline and I only had 1k grafts more than you at a fraction of the cost yet my result looks far better and a lot more area covered.

I am sorry this isn’t a good hair transplant, your midscalp is bare and you seem to have an amazing donor so it doesn’t make sense why has this been done to you. You need another HT for crown and some grafts to improve your hairline - if you can call that a hairline. And you spent 17k for this, just wow!

Good luck man
