Regular Member iamtheone654 Posted January 6, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted January 6, 2020 Just wondering if anyone knows how many grafts are needed for just the temple triangles. one of my temporal triangles is pretty much gone.
Senior Member CosmoKramer Posted January 7, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted January 7, 2020 From what I’ve seen....around 200-400 grafts seems to be the number needed for each...but maybe look into microneedling w/Minoxidil...I’ve gained some new growth on my temple peaks/triangles that were receding, it took 6-months but it’s definitely filled in.
Senior Member CosmoKramer Posted January 7, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted January 7, 2020 Here’s a photo of my progress in the area from last month...the dark hairs are newly grown....it took time for it to recede so it will take some time to fill in but it definitely frames my face better. Dr. Glenn Charles
Really depends on how large your temporal triangle is. Can you post photo? No face needed. Usually there are a few remaining original hairs which will give the doctor a road map as to what angle and direction to place the new hairs. Senior Member 1978matt Posted January 9, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted January 9, 2020 Dr Konior actually mentioned this topic to me today. I think he basically said there is no one size that fits all but has used as few as 100 on some cases but always uses only the finest hairs in these areas. I think from memory he used about 300 combined total on mine years ago. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
