I had a procedure with Huebner just over a year and a half ago. His videos and over the phone consult really made me feel at ease with choosing him for my procedure as I never thought I would actually follow through with doing it. The procedure went well and at about 9 months after the procedure I was very happy with my result. Then right before my one year mark I had I guess what you can call a huge shed. It seemed like all the new hair started falling out and it was just horrible and traumatizing. After doing research on here I was told to wait it out before pulling the trigger on another procedure (which I was going to do with Feller and Bloxham) and give it 18 months. Well I’m glad I did wait cause around the 18 and 19 month things started to grow back (the beginning of this past summer 2019). I do not feel everything grew back as well as it grew in the first time and Here I am now realizing what I have as a final result and to be honest I’m no satisfied after seeing other people’s results with other doctors. I’ve become quite admirable of other people’s hair again. I’m kinda rambling but to get to the point I’m just curious to what people really think about Huebner’s results and procedures? I will be having another procedure one day and it will most likely be with Feller and Bloxham as I wish I went to them the first time but I just don’t know when I want to pull the trigger. Again, what is Huebner’s reputation ?

not sure about Huebner. but i remember your case and respect that you waited it out.

so you are saying most of it grew back but not all of it and you are still not happy? can you refresh us with pics?

Dr.Bloxham puts out amazing work. how many grafts do you think you need? If I remember its mostly temple/corner rebuilds?

Do you have pictures from when you shed and later grew back at month 18?

Huebner is using hair transplant tech from 20-30 years ago. He uses mini and micro grafts and does not use microscopes to prepare grafts. I’m not even sure he uses trichophytic closure for his scars. He doesn’t have any credentials related to hair transplantation such as certification by the ishrs or abhrs. Please do not go back to him. Dr. Bloxham is a great choice for your second surgery and he actively participates here.

Huebner heavily advertises on YouTube with patient follow up videos....and not 1 I can say impressed me, his work is mediocre at best, he over-promises and under-delivers to the detriment of his patients their donor area and their wallets. Agree with what JJ mentions about him using old tech and Bloxham is a great choice for a follow-up procedure if you’re intent on staying in the US.

That said, glad to hear you waited out the results shed and was able to grow back.

Yes, pretty much I waited it out and some of the hair grew back but I wouldn’t say all. My hairline is still lacking and so is density, in fact there is very little density and Im constantly fighting my hair and still feel the need to use hair fibers which sucks.

Dont get me wrong, I definitely have more hair than before the procedure and the whole experience with Huebner was great, except for the final product. I was just simply uneducated and I regret not going to Bloxham the first time being that he is pretty much in my backyard and his results are top notch.

I actually had a consult in person with Bloxham around my 12month post-op and he agreed that I didn’t have a failed procedure but it was just lacking overall. Bloxham was very understanding that I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do just yet but made a plan of just doing a full frontal case of 2000 grafts FUT to really bulk up and build a strong hairline and work in between all the grafts that Huebner did and was confident it would be a great result. He even compliment my scar and that I healed quite nicely and was pleased to see I had healthy donor.

My only concern is will I be able to have a 3rd procedure if and most likely when my crown starts to go.. (it has shown signs of thinning but thanks to finasteride it’s hanging on) Bloxham said a 3rd FUT is possible but you risk the scar not healing ideally, but that FUE would be an option.

Also, I didn’t really document this whole experience as I probably should have. I will try to upload some pictures for you see.

Any advice and recommendations is appreciated
