  1. The whole frontal 1/3, almost the first half actually.. the hairline as well.
  2. Picture 1 - around the 9month post op when hair was its best. No hairfibers September 2018 picture 2 - around my one year post op when the shed was obvious. January 2019 picture 3,4,5 - is today. September 2019 Mind you my hair gets very blonde in and after summer and gets darker in the fall and winter. Also the pictures from today my hair is not brushed or anything actually have been wearing a hat all day at work hence I’m in construction
  3. Yes, pretty much I waited it out and some of the hair grew back but I wouldn’t say all. My hairline is still lacking and so is density, in fact there is very little density and Im constantly fighting my hair and still feel the need to use hair fibers which sucks. Dont get me wrong, I definitely have more hair than before the procedure and the whole experience with Huebner was great, except for the final product. I was just simply uneducated and I regret not going to Bloxham the first time being that he is pretty much in my backyard and his results are top notch. I actually had a consult in person with Bloxham around my 12month post-op and he agreed that I didn’t have a failed procedure but it was just lacking overall. Bloxham was very understanding that I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do just yet but made a plan of just doing a full frontal case of 2000 grafts FUT to really bulk up and build a strong hairline and work in between all the grafts that Huebner did and was confident it would be a great result. He even compliment my scar and that I healed quite nicely and was pleased to see I had healthy donor. My only concern is will I be able to have a 3rd procedure if and most likely when my crown starts to go.. (it has shown signs of thinning but thanks to finasteride it’s hanging on) Bloxham said a 3rd FUT is possible but you risk the scar not healing ideally, but that FUE would be an option. Also, I didn’t really document this whole experience as I probably should have. I will try to upload some pictures for you see. Any advice and recommendations is appreciated
  4. I had a procedure with Huebner just over a year and a half ago. His videos and over the phone consult really made me feel at ease with choosing him for my procedure as I never thought I would actually follow through with doing it. The procedure went well and at about 9 months after the procedure I was very happy with my result. Then right before my one year mark I had I guess what you can call a huge shed. It seemed like all the new hair started falling out and it was just horrible and traumatizing. After doing research on here I was told to wait it out before pulling the trigger on another procedure (which I was going to do with Feller and Bloxham) and give it 18 months. Well I’m glad I did wait cause around the 18 and 19 month things started to grow back (the beginning of this past summer 2019). I do not feel everything grew back as well as it grew in the first time and Here I am now realizing what I have as a final result and to be honest I’m no satisfied after seeing other people’s results with other doctors. I’ve become quite admirable of other people’s hair again. I’m kinda rambling but to get to the point I’m just curious to what people really think about Huebner’s results and procedures? I will be having another procedure one day and it will most likely be with Feller and Bloxham as I wish I went to them the first time but I just don’t know when I want to pull the trigger. Again, what is Huebner’s reputation ?
  5. I had some native hair in the area already but nothing worth talking about. I have seen much improvement since the winter it seems a lot of it has grown back in but it’s not as dense or as strong as it was at the 9 month post op before this shed. I’m still disappointed. I don’t have much faith it will improve from here. A second procedure is def on my mind
  6. Hey man I’m sorry you are experiencing this and I say that because I am experiencing the same exact thing, except my “shed” of transplanted hair happened just 10 months after my surgery. I don’t understand either man I’m so upset. I was so dam happy and my new hair line was looking so great I couldn’t believe it and it was suppose to get even better with a few months of growth left ! Then out of no where it just started to go and go and go. I reached out here on the forum and the only answer I got was from Spex and a few others that it was a shed and it’s more common than not? Just not really spoken about. Idk man. I believe you though and agree with you judging by your photos you posted. This has been going for 4 months now and I’m hoping things grow back in but my luck they won’t. I payed quite a penny for my procedure too and now I’m looking into and saving to have another one with a different doctor. I’m sorry brother I’m in the same boat. It’s heart breaking. I’m using Topic Hair fibers in the mean time, maybe they will help you as well. Best of luck
  7. My situation isn’t exactly what you explained. If you read I explained that my result at 8, 9 and 10 month was great and I had no complaints. After that it’s as if hair in my new hairline and density behind just started going away and falling out. I’m approaching the 14 month mark and it’s still hasn’t grown back.
  8. I understand what you mean, but I do not think that’s the case. There has not been much of an improvement or even any at all. I noticed this “shed” right after Thanksgiving. January 18 was my 12 month post surgery date. Therefore the shed started at roughly the 10/11 month mark. Its about to be month 14. The user Spex in his hair shedding post said these sheds can last 3 to 4 months and all will return eventually. I’m praying things improve in the following weeks. How do hairs grow for almost a year and just die? Is that even a possibility? I though the follicle either survives the procedure or it doesn’t, and it would be determined right from the beginning of growth? Is it possible for a follicle to grow for that long after transplantation and THEN die ?
  9. March 12th and hair line still hasn’t picked back up. Been just over 3 months now. Hair feels and looks very thin. Is it possible a shed like this is similar to the shed after the initial procedure? The grafts fall out over the course of the first month and take 3-4 months to start growing again? Could this be a possibility ?
  10. I was waiting for someone to say this... i had my procedure done by Huebner in Florida. Huebner’s technique is the same as Dr Bolton’s as he was once his “apprentice”. If you YouTube them they explain how their technique is different that others aka the gold standard way. I watched almost all his videos and was turned onto his results because I felt they were realistic, not perfect but obtainable. (I was very afraid of getting scammed by super impressive results thinking they weren’t real). I was also not as educated as I feel I am now. I do now wish I went to a different doctor or like Feller and Bloxham the first time around. But like I stated in earlier posts, I was very very happy with my results at 8-10 months and my scar is pretty dam good also. Anyways yea Huebner’s post op doesn’t look like most.
  11. How much time is needed ? This shed took off in the beginning of December. It’s about to March and nothing has picked back up yet? Its been 3 full months. It’s still quite bad if not worse. I’m trying my best not to scrutinize but man I’m so disappointed.
  12. Is derma rolling effective? I just bought one a couple weeks ago and have given it a shot. So far maybe 3 times in two weeks. I don’t use minoxidil. What’s everyone’s thoughts? - is it effect with or without the combo of minoxidil? - How many times a week? - will it do more harm than good? - is it harmful to new hair after a hair transplant ? thanks
  13. I went to Huebner in Florida. It was great experience all up until this “shed” or whatever is going on.
  14. These aren’t the best photos but it’s all I have I apologize. The top picture is September 2018. I was very happy at this point all the through November. The bottom photo is the beginning of December 2018. The density has even gotten worse after this going into January and now end of February.
  15. I understand this is just a waiting game now. You’re reasoning saying it could be my native hair falling out is one I can not agree with. My hairline was completely gone before I had the procedure, and as of 4 months ago my new hairline was looking and coming in so great and it’s now non existent once again. So there’s no way it’s the native hair. Get me?
  16. I did not increase my dose of finasteride. I have been on 1mg since November 2017. My procedure was January 2018, I started finasteride prior to my procedure. When the patient advisor called me to check in at the 9 month mark I told him I was VERY happy with everything so far. Fast forward to approaching month 11 I called with concerns explaining my hairline had begun to thin and fall out and the density was begin to go away and I was very upset. He told me not to worry and that the new hair falls out sometimes and grows back stronger. I found this explanation to be strange since I was never told this before or never heard it anywhere else. The only shed that I was ever told about was around 4 weeks after the initial procedure. They had contacted me at the one year mark (January 18, 2019)to see my “final result” and to be honest I didn’t answer them. I was so upset at the time I didn’t have anything nice to say nor did I want to talk to them. Maybe it was childish of me but that’s how I felt at the time. Here I am at the end of February 2019 and still the same issue. No hairline. No density. I’m praying some new growth starts very soon.
  17. I agree the more I see their work the more I regret not going to them the first time. If I had I wouldn’t be in the position I am now and need another procedure. Also, I’ve heard about his attitude in forums but that means nothing to me as his work is all that matters. Plus, hesca New York guy he doesn’t take bullshit lol
  18. I’m looking to have my second FUT procedure with feller and Bloxham in New York. I see his videos and are impressed by his results. Their strip scar always seems impressive and undetectable in their videos as well as the density they achieve. They both seem to be the real deal and are very honest. I live in the area and after traveling to Florida for my first procedure, traveling for a second just comes off as so much more stressful and so much more work and also costs. If that weren’t the case I’d look into Hassan and Wong but flying 6 hours when I have feller and Bloxham just 30min drive makes more sense. Thoughts ??
  19. I started taking finasteride in November of 2017, I then had a hair transplant in January of 2018 (3months later). After shaving my head for the HP it took 3-4 months for my hair to return to normal. 9/10 months post op (November-December of 2018) is when the shed started and came in full force. Even transplanted hair has she’s and fallen out. I know this cause my new hhair line was pretty much gone and still is to this day and it’s been 3 months. I’m in panic mode. Should I have hope that it will all grow back including the new hair? Or is this possibly a fail?
  20. 5 month mark since you first started taking it ? Or 5 months since your surgery? I’m 13 months out from my surgery. Started taking propecia just 2 months prior to the surgery. At the 9month mark post-op surgery my hair was growing in strong and looking the best it’s every looked. Out of no where I just started losing thickness/fullness/density and my new hairline. Its like most of the new hair is just gone. It’s been 3 months of this shit. I’m hoping this is a shed of some sort. I was hoping maybe increasing my dosage would do something idk. I’m desperate at this point
  21. I’ve been on propecia/finasteride 1mg for just over a year now. Would it be beneficial to increase my dosage? Maybe to 1.5mg ? It has definitely helped me the last year but I recently am going through a shed and notice some thinning in the crown. Would this be a good or bad idea? Pros and cons? PS I have had no side effects to date.
  22. I had my FUT done last January on the frontal 3rd of my scalp. By September and October I was very happy with how much growth and density and was excited to know I still had a few more months to go. By the end of November, thanksgiving time I began to notice the fullness wasn’t there but I tried not to be so hard on myself. By Christmas time everything was just gone. The density fullness and all the progress I made seemed to be gone. I began to look to peruse another procedure at a different doctor. While doing so I came across The member Spex page about shedding. How this is a thing and it’s more common than not and causes people to think their procedure was a failure. He said the shedding can last 3-4 months. After reading his page on shredding I decided to put it in Park and hold out and wait till the 18 month mark. Here I am just past the 13 month mark and I still feel like nothing has grown back. It sucks to be self conscious again when for just a few moths back in the summer I was feeling so good about my hair. Has anyone had similar situation? Anyone have the hair grow back again and at what point did you start to notice ? I’m getting impatient. Parts of my thinks it was a failure but I’m trying to be hopeful that I will be happy again soon. I guess I’m just seeking comfort..
  23. I appreciate the responses to this post, this has given me somewhat of a sigh of relief and I guess I won’t book that procedure right away (thank god I saw this in time cause it was 2500$ down payment with no refund haha). I’m just confused to why does this even happen? The hair should be at its strongest at the one gear mark shouldn’t it? And also why is this never or rarely talked about? Why doesn’t the doctor warn the patient this could possibly happen?
