  1. I’m looking to have my second FUT procedure with feller and Bloxham in New York. I see his videos and are impressed by his results. Their strip scar always seems impressive and undetectable in their videos as well as the density they achieve. They both seem to be the real deal and are very honest. I live in the area and after traveling to Florida for my first procedure, traveling for a second just comes off as so much more stressful and so much more work and also costs. If that weren’t the case I’d look into Hassan and Wong but flying 6 hours when I have feller and Bloxham just 30min drive makes more sense. Thoughts ??
  2. I started taking finasteride in November of 2017, I then had a hair transplant in January of 2018 (3months later). After shaving my head for the HP it took 3-4 months for my hair to return to normal. 9/10 months post op (November-December of 2018) is when the shed started and came in full force. Even transplanted hair has she’s and fallen out. I know this cause my new hhair line was pretty much gone and still is to this day and it’s been 3 months. I’m in panic mode. Should I have hope that it will all grow back including the new hair? Or is this possibly a fail?
  3. 5 month mark since you first started taking it ? Or 5 months since your surgery? I’m 13 months out from my surgery. Started taking propecia just 2 months prior to the surgery. At the 9month mark post-op surgery my hair was growing in strong and looking the best it’s every looked. Out of no where I just started losing thickness/fullness/density and my new hairline. Its like most of the new hair is just gone. It’s been 3 months of this shit. I’m hoping this is a shed of some sort. I was hoping maybe increasing my dosage would do something idk. I’m desperate at this point
  4. I’ve been on propecia/finasteride 1mg for just over a year now. Would it be beneficial to increase my dosage? Maybe to 1.5mg ? It has definitely helped me the last year but I recently am going through a shed and notice some thinning in the crown. Would this be a good or bad idea? Pros and cons? PS I have had no side effects to date.
  5. I had my FUT done last January on the frontal 3rd of my scalp. By September and October I was very happy with how much growth and density and was excited to know I still had a few more months to go. By the end of November, thanksgiving time I began to notice the fullness wasn’t there but I tried not to be so hard on myself. By Christmas time everything was just gone. The density fullness and all the progress I made seemed to be gone. I began to look to peruse another procedure at a different doctor. While doing so I came across The member Spex page about shedding. How this is a thing and it’s more common than not and causes people to think their procedure was a failure. He said the shedding can last 3-4 months. After reading his page on shredding I decided to put it in Park and hold out and wait till the 18 month mark. Here I am just past the 13 month mark and I still feel like nothing has grown back. It sucks to be self conscious again when for just a few moths back in the summer I was feeling so good about my hair. Has anyone had similar situation? Anyone have the hair grow back again and at what point did you start to notice ? I’m getting impatient. Parts of my thinks it was a failure but I’m trying to be hopeful that I will be happy again soon. I guess I’m just seeking comfort..
  6. I appreciate the responses to this post, this has given me somewhat of a sigh of relief and I guess I won’t book that procedure right away (thank god I saw this in time cause it was 2500$ down payment with no refund haha). I’m just confused to why does this even happen? The hair should be at its strongest at the one gear mark shouldn’t it? And also why is this never or rarely talked about? Why doesn’t the doctor warn the patient this could possibly happen?
  7. No need to apologize your English is great. Did you explain to your doctor what you feel has happened? Has anyone given you any explanation? I never heard of shock loss at this point. I just don’t understand. I’m about to schedule a second procedure with Feller and Bloxham in New York. I’m so upset and disappointed. I’m stuck between waiting to see if it grows and fills back in over the next few months or just go for the second procedure next month.
  8. I had my FUT procedure last January of 2018. By July I could start to see some growth of the new hair (hairline following some density behind it in the the frontal 3rd). At this point I started to see the process begin and I was excited and happy. I didn’t document each month with pictures but the first picture below is a photo zoomed in of me out to dinner and is in September 2018. I was more than happy as my hair had a dense look and new hair line was actually there. The following picture is month 11 and it’s as if the hairline has almost gone away and the density is just going away as well. It’s now month 12 and same thing. I’m very upset and confused.. at this point the new hair should be at its strongest and fullest yet it’s much worse. Did it fall out? Did I have a shed of some sort? Idk what to think. Any answers or advice would be appreciated.
  9. I had an FUT procedure with Matt Huebner in Florida. Long story short I def have a lot more hair on my head, my scar is pretty dam good also just like he shows in his videos. No ones has ever pointed it out and my barber can still faded my hair out short and conceal it. So definitely give him an A on his scar. I’m now interested in having a second FUT with feller and Bloxham to really get a dense hair line and more density but they had told me doing a second FUT sometimes the scar is a little bit wider the second time around. (They will be cutting out the old scar and I will have only one.) I never heard this before. Any input ?
  10. Not sure about the keto shampoo, I’ve been using one called Andalou Naturals for thinning hair for months now. I uploaded the photos below. The thinned our picture is now, the other one is a photo taken of me two months ago. Maybe not a good comparison but it’s th best I got
  11. So I had an FUT procedure done last January. Long story short, at the 8th and 9th month mark I couldn’t be happier. My frontal thirds had decent density and my hairline was filling in pretty nicely. Here I am at month 11 to the day and I’ve noticed the last 3 weeks all that progress has gone backwards. My hair feels thin, hairline on one side is prettt much gone and just overall density is gone. Has anyone ever heard of this? It’s like my progress went backwards.. I called the doctors office and there patient advisor says it sounds like I lost more hair and that’s probably the reason, or the new hair growing in fell out and will grow back stronger? (That’s not suppose to happen at this stage from what I know). I take finasteride so I don’t think any hair loss should be so extent that in two months it would be so drastic. Anyone have any answers??
