Senior Member mattj Posted August 11, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2017 The 'island' tuft. Rare-ish and quite helpful for a patient looking for a hair transplant. Pete-from-Farjo
Seen a few transplants on patients with hair loss patterns like this where the doc has restored the frontal zone by implanting around the tuft. Strange how this small bunch of hairs cling on to life as those around them have long since been lost. Senior Member Djlazerblue Posted August 15, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted August 15, 2017 I don't think this pattern is that rare I've seen it loads of times
Dr. Glenn Charles
This is actually one of the more common hair loss patterns in the atypical category. I happen to see it quite often. You also have quite a bit of temporal recession also which would need to be addressed if you ever considered a HT. Bill - Seemiller
I too have seen this her last pattern relatively frequently having been a member of this community for over 13 years and a publisher for over 10. As long as your donor hair is viable, he should still be a good candidate for a hair transplant if that something he actually wanted. Best wishes, Bill
