Seen a few transplants on patients with hair loss patterns like this where the doc has restored the frontal zone by implanting around the tuft. Strange how this small bunch of hairs cling on to life as those around them have long since been lost.

This is actually one of the more common hair loss patterns in the atypical category. I happen to see it quite often. You also have quite a bit of temporal recession also which would need to be addressed if you ever considered a HT.

I too have seen this her last pattern relatively frequently having been a member of this community for over 13 years and a publisher for over 10. As long as your donor hair is viable, he should still be a good candidate for a hair transplant if that something he actually wanted.

Best wishes,

Bill
