One fantastic donor hair resource that had not previously been used was his long, white beard - akin to that of Old Saint Nick. He, therefore, opted for a follicular unit extraction (FUE) session in which a total of 981 grafts were harvested from his beard and within his scalp donor region. He also requested that Dr. Carlos K. Wesley NOT shave his entire donor region for the FUE graft harvest. Therefore, a long-haired FUE session was also performed. The patient returned one year after his procedure and images of the patient can be seen below. The patient’s hair follicles were incubated in platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure. --------- Carlos K.
