Regular Member un13 Posted June 18, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted June 18, 2016 to make story short: i had HT and among transplanted hair there were a few gray hair from the sides . Well they didn't look good, too visible. So sometimes i pulled them out . And today i found that non pigmented hair started to grow as pigmented ( dark) . So half of the hair is gray and botton half is dark ! I'm gonna attach photo little later. What do you think ? So it means the pigmentation of the hair depend of its location ? Senior Member MrGio-WHTCClinic Posted June 22, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted June 22, 2016 Can you post any pre-op and follow-up photos? Photos of the donor area could also be useful in explanation. My opinions are my own. I am one representative of MyWHTC Clinic's European branch. Senior Member mikeey Posted June 22, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted June 22, 2016 I had written this long back , that many people get the grey hair after surgery and that is possibly due to the Trauma , infact i know 1 person who had NO GREY at all and after the HT he had almost very visible Grey hair Through out his recipient sites . So Yes trauma is the cause that makes them depigmented.

Senior Member JohnCasper Posted November 3, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 3, 2016 That's very curious. Maybe one of the doctors will chime in with a better explanation. I am an online representative for Carolina Hair Surgery & Dr. Mike Vories (Recommended on the Hair Transplant Network).
