33 year old. Thinning on front and top. Advice and support would be welcomed

Hey there. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Always had a full head of hair but also had a high hair line, same as my father's side. My dad still has full head of hear, despite the high hairline. His father was bald on top and don't remember a time he wasn't.

I noticed I looked slightly different these last few weeks. Only when I was brushing my teeth with the light directly above my head did I notice that I could see the top of my head.

I have chemically relaxed ny hair for years, without any problems and that could well be to do with it, but I'm convinced it has definitely thinned out. My profile picture is from just now and I will post some more below.

I'd appreciate some opinions on whether I am thinning and whether this is MPB or if it could be something else. Any reputable hair specialists or any treatments would also be gratefully welcomed.

Thanks again for your time.

Looks like MPB. Finasteride and minoxidil are your best bet. See a recommended physician for an opinion and a baseline.

could you post some overhead pics in different lighting? your only showing the front on here.

There doesn't appear to be any loss on the crown etc. I will post some in sunlight and different angles, tomorrow.

Thanks for responding.

Thank you so much for responding.

Can I visit my local GP to discuss this, or will I need to go somewhere with specific hair specialists?

The two products you've suggested were also suggested to me by a friend in a similar situation. I'd like to at least slow down the loss, if nothing else. Genuinely hit me quite hard today.

I recommend seeing a specialist preferably from this site.

To be quite honest, I don't really see much hairloss if any at all, definitely better pics are needed, from the pics you've posted you don't look like you're balding, the good thing is your 33 your hairloss is not aggressive, research finasteride there are some serious side effects that a small few experience me being one of them, minoxidil is good, laser comb wouldn't hurt if you have extra money, Regenpure DR shampoo.

Thanks so much, guys... What an awesome site. I think it is obviously more noticeable to me, as it is to us all when something about our person changes. Will post some pics up.

Supposed to be going to belgravia centre, today... If I can get out of work on time.

I've messaged one of the consultants on here that my friend spoke to.

Looked up regaine, rogaine and the more generic based versions. Many people prefer the foam, it would seem... although I also hear that they work better for Crown issues and less for front of hair loss?!

It seems to be a case of trial and error, as with so many things.

Will post and update.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you, again.

Ok. Messaged someone on here and they told me im not yet a candidate for HT (which i wasnt really after yet) and, when pressed that i should go to my GP or local specialist for treatment. I visited doctor who wouldn't prescribe me propecia and has instead sent me for blood tests to rule out anything untoward.

All local people want hundreds of pounds up front for propecia. I have more images attached. Until now I'd not noticed anything missing from crown, but now I'm not so sure... This seems to be a really rapid loss!

I will start with regaine as it's readily available, but would like to start on propecia regardless of reported side effects.... I just don't know where I can get it, what dosage and how much I should be prepared to pay. So frustrating.

What i do is buy Proscar and cut it up in to smaller doses, Belgravia will just try to overcharge you for what you can get off the internet for a LOT cheaper.

You could go even cheaper buy generic propecia, same drug as proscar, different name.

Looks like you have some minor recession at the hairline. If you look up Spex on google he has a site with recommendation from a GP that will prescribe you proscar, all you have to do is email him and fill in his form, Dr Steven Edgar.
