Regular Member timetoact Posted July 7, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks Magnumpi for your input. I will go to the clinic as you suggested. On the other note, here are my day 7 pictures. I see permanent black bulbs at the grafts base. Hope that is all fine. Regular Member timetoact Posted July 8, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 8, 2015 Got my stitches removed. It was not painful but a bit stingy. But I feel it was totally easy and nothing to be bummed of. After coming back I saw some videos of hair transplant stitches removal on youtube with my friend and he told me he could have done this as it looks so easy On a different note, the person who cut my stitches was amazed seeing transplanted head. (It was his first sight of a transplant) He asked me the details where I got it done from as he was planning the same. Started showing me his head asking what is it gonna cost him. For a moment, the patient became the doctor. :D HT with Dr Radha - 30th June 2015 Total grafts: 3168 (1's: 930, 2's: 2090, 3's: 148 ) Total hair: 5554 Pre-op pics My regime: 1mg Finpecia daily Multivitamin tablet daily Cod liver oil capsule twice a day Minoxidil 5% solution (1ml) once a day Nizoral Shampoo 1% (once a week)

Regular Member timetoact Posted July 12, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 12, 2015 Attaching a pic of stitches after 12 days. It isnt clear but can be easily seen how it will look after some days. There is a lot of scabbing on my head and i feel like itching a lot. Just waiting for three more days for the oil/gentle shampoo rubbing to rub off the scabs. Regular Member timetoact Posted July 12, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 12, 2015 But, without lifting the hair, nothing is visible. It looks just like normal. Regular Member timetoact Posted July 12, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) Okay, so I was about to go sleep. But then as I always do, I went for a good look at the grafts before hitting the bed. And while I was just feeling the grafts, I saw these hair at the top of scalp. I hope this is part of shedding of transplanted hair and is a normal process? I see one of them with a white bulb, is it possible to dislodge the graft after 13 days of procedure? There is no pain in the scalp but I do not feel good seeing that one hair with white bulb. Waiting for input. Thanks. Regular Member timetoact Posted July 18, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 18, 2015 Day 16: Oiled my head with coconut oil and washed with gentle fingers as prescribed by the doctor. Most of the scabbing came off. Feeling a bit light. There has been continuous shedding of transplanted hair since day 12. It is not massive but on a small scale but the scalp looks sparse now. Still holding good amount of transplanted hair, wishing to keep holding them. Day 18 pictures attached in here. As always, any comments/posts welcome. And I have started using Minoxidil on a daily basis now(keeping to 1ml a day for now) The scar in the back looks okay. A bit of red, but that should go away in coming week. Other than that, I noticed the dissolvable sutures getting torn off. Hope that is normal as well. Will get a haircut next weekend, maybe. Getting difficult to manage half bald, half beary head. Regular Member timetoact Posted July 22, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 22, 2015 I had a query. It is safe to use minoxidil and nizoral from now on, right? As it is 22 days post-op for me now. I would really like to know as I am thinking of resuming them fully now. Senior Member Rawkerboi Posted July 22, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted July 22, 2015 Its actually recommended after 15days from HT, hence its absolutely fine if you start using Minoxidil and Nizoral Opt for 5% as it is much stronger than 2%. Use Nizoral only twice a week, over of Nizoral using may damage or make your hair fuzzy
Regular Member timetoact Posted July 22, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 22, 2015 Thanks Rawkerboi for your input. Btw had my rest of the head shaven today. It was getting difficult to maintain that long hair in the back. When i took my cap off and the hairdresser directly asked whether i had a transplant. He told he has seen many transplants and mine was among the best he has seen He then gave me some details as to how to take care of the transplanted hair which shockingly was more or less on the lines what we discuss mostly in here (Finasteride and minoxidil). I feel lighter with all the hair gone and it will be easier to maintain the head now. Regular Member timetoact Posted July 28, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 28, 2015 More than half of my transplanted hair has fallen off. Right now, the look makes me anxious. It is almost back to the same situation again. I know this is the period where it will fall till 2 months time. The scar in the back is healing and it doesnt hurt now. The redness is still there which should fade away by next month. Wearing cap during office hours, will ditch it by next week maybe when some hair grows at the back of my head which hides the scar. Regular Member timetoact Posted August 30, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 30, 2015 It has been two months exactly today. The shedding of transplanted hair was over long back. Some of the hair has started growing. I have ditched the hat and going to the office and around without cap most of the times. People sometimes stare at my head. Nobody has a clue that I went for a transplant. Just waiting for the hair to start growing. Current growth is sparse, but atleast I can see the empty area filling in. Hoping the growth will kick in more in next 2-3 weeks. MEanwhile following the regimen strictly. Regular Member timetoact Posted October 2, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 2, 2015 It has been 3 months and 2 days today. Didnt appear too long for me, maybe because my work kept me a lot busy along with some family gatherings and all, didnt get much time to think about what will my result be. Even then used to check every now and then how does it appear. The hair is coming along, though it is still a bit sparse. The grafts that have come out have grown a bit longer and they are blending with my original hair. While touching the scalp, i can feel some new hair sprouting and pinching a bit of my palm. It itches sometimes but i control and tap a bit at max, if it goes out of control. Hoping to get some growth from next month on. Pics coming in sometime. Regular Member timetoact Posted October 31, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 31, 2015 Just like that, 4 months have passed. Time is going fast and everyday I feel good while looking myself in the mirror. The growth is slim but atleast the hairline has started to show. Going by the figures presented in the forum many times, it is just 25%. So I am assuming a lot of growth to come. Have started getting compliments from people. "Your hair is growing back, what did you do!" is not uncommon to listen these days. Though if i examine properly, I can still see empty areas in between, but it doesnt look as bad as it used to. Hoping to get some more growth in coming months. Here are some pics atttached. Feedback is welcome. Regular Member timetoact Posted November 26, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 26, 2015 Everything was going fine but had to let go of fin after experiencing side effects. Been three weeks discontinuing fin and the hairfall from one week has been massive. I am worried about what to do. Everyday it's like 50-100 hair falling. Any advice about what to do? Senior Member Rawkerboi Posted November 26, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted November 26, 2015 Since you have stopped Finasteride suddenly you are loosing your gains, its always recommended to lower the dose and then stop. Anyways its ok to loose 50-100 hairs but just keep monitoring

Regular Member timetoact Posted December 11, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2015 The hairfall is still there, I have started fin again from last 1 week but there is no stopping the hairfall right now.
