* Temporal and Parietal density: 60 uf/cm2

* Occipital density: 70 uf/cm2

* Parietal and Occipital Hair Diameter: 50 micron

 

- OPERATION DETAILS: 4006 grafts FUE extracted by manual punch, diameter 0.6 - 0.8 mm.

Incisions executed by: custom made blades, lateral slit

 

* 498 single grafts

* 1691 double grafts

* 1817 multiple grafts

* General average Hair per Graft: 2.40

 

- GRAFTS DISTRIBUTION: 1800 grafts were used to restore the patient's frontal area; 2200 grafts were used to cover the mid-scalp and vertex

* Frontal area (1800 grafts): 40 cm2 ---> 45 grafts/cm2

* Mid-scalp and Vertex area (2200 grafts): 145 cm2 ---> 15 grafts/cm2

 

- FINASTERIDE: The patient started the treatment just after having undergone the surgery

Result is great at only six months, but I feel the graft count is too high for a patient of 26 with his loss. Can't help but feel a smaller procedure would have been a better strategy, say 2000 grafts . My own personal view is this clinic uses more grafts than is necessary to achieve results that can be obtained with far fewer grafts, with Dr Reddy being a prime example:

ummm the first link u posted has 4000 grafts just like this one. so wats ur point? u think 2000 grafts wud have achieved the required density that this patient needed vs. 4000 grafts? think again...

In fact it was 4000 HAIRS and 1484 GRAFTS. That is impressive indeed.

Good result but WAY too many grafts. This guy is going to lose more hair, even if he's on Meds. The before pics are WET which highlights the thin areas. He could have had an excellent result with 3000 grafts to the front third and Meds for the crown.

 

It's VERY unwise to transplant into the crown of a young patient, because when hair loss progresses he will be left with a halo of hair on the top.

Would you advise against transplanting into my crown , I'm 33 years old and been on fin and minox for 4 years . I really want my crown doing but don't want to waste 1000 grafts as quoted by some clinics , was hoping just to put about 300 in just to give a bit more coverage .

start ur own thread. no ill need at least 800 grafts to address ur crown.
