Dr. Alan Feller
This is one of our classic HT patients. 3,500 grafts in one sitting. But the thing that makes his case so intersting is that his curles "popped out" almost out of nowhere about a year AFTER his hair transplant. It was as if the transplants decided to be straight for the first year, then pop back into curls thereafter. Always interesting to see something different. Bill - Seemiller
Dr. Feller, Frankly, I think the curly look suits him quite well. His hair did already seem to have a bit of a natural wave to it. Perhaps the curl became more obvious as his hair grew longer. Either way, the results look good. Thanks for posting. Bill
Senior Member Atomic Posted January 9, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 9, 2010 A good example of how the tansplanted hair continues mature after 1 year.

Dr. Alan Feller
.. Thanks. Future Doc, Bill, and atomic Thank you. I think that as the caliber of the hair thickened, the natural curl kicked in. Or perhaps he just took longer for his hairs to fully mature. If this is an indication of the length of time it takes for hair to mature, then our understanding of the timeline of final results is probably incomplete. Mick and Stamos, Thanks for the comments.
