If you can fit it into your schedule then it is no bad thing.

My main reason for going was to get my donor area checked.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018

763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020

Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Did you think its necessary to visit the clinic and talk to the doctor before you have the surgery, or its not necessary, thanks for any responses:D

Definitely go if you can. As Matt said, mainly to get your donor checked but to make sure you and the doc are 100% on the same page with the plan.

Procedure #1: 5229 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Oct, 2010

Sad,

Patients undergo successful surgery without consulting first. You could at least consider an online consultation. This may provide you with some useful information, and ensure you and the surgeon are both "on the same page."

Agreed. It's good to get your donor checked and develop a realistic plan so there are no surprises, if you are able to go. Not one hundred percent necessary but if you can go.

It's important

Even if you're not local, you can still fly in a day or two early and have a lengthy pre-consult the day or night before surgery

that's how I did it for my procedures, makes for a solid non-rushed game plan and takes away some of the game day jitters

go dense or go home

Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others
