Regular Member Cautiouslyconsidering Posted May 2, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 I'm almost 1 year out of a 1400 graft procedure and would like to hear opinions and thoughts on the results. I don't have exact hair count numbers but ~ 1's-710 2's-635 3's-
Senior Member Britanium Posted May 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 I think that for you much more grafts were needed. 1400 grafts was not enough to make a good hairline. Will you opt for a larger second surgery ?
Senior Member Spanker Posted May 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 That's about what I'd expect for 1400 grafts I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. Senior Member hairthere Posted May 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 Well, it looks like you lost some more native hair post HT. 3k grafts would have been necessary to gain an acceptable result, IMO. Regular Member Cautiouslyconsidering Posted May 2, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 Thanks for replies, more will be added but I'm only looking to cover the frontal and forelock. Waiting for propecia to hopefully do a decent job on the crown, since it seems to be working a bit. I think the apparent decrease in native hair is more projectional then anything else and maybe due to hair length discrepancy. All other pics seem to show stabilization and even a little growth. I was wondering whether this is expected for 1400 grafts, and how many more i may need to give decent density to the grafted area.
Senior Member Britanium Posted May 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 yes thats what i would be expecting from 1400 grafts. Next time go for at least 3000 grafts as mentioned. Or more if you can spare the grafts ! you get out what you put in :-)

Regular Member watch4norwoods Posted May 3, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted May 3, 2014 Not going to sugar coat this or anything. Any hair transplant at your give stage will simply be having hair on your head, forget density, and mass amounts of locks. The most you can expect is having hair on head. Shaving it or getting a toupee are your best options
